Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Murray River

Villacostalotta was just what we all needed for a wonderfully relaxing weekend away with a couple of girlfriends. The house was absolutely gorgeous, exactly as the listing described. Shona left a basket of goodies which we demolished with glee! She’s a very thoughtful host. Beds and doonas were comfy, towels were beautifully fluffy, the rainshower shower head was fantastic and the log fire was divine on the cold nights when we each snuggled in the blankets provided on the couch. Thoroughly recommend Villacostalotta if you need somewhere to stay in the area. (The local White Hart pub makes a fantastic meal and the staff there are just lovely, too!)

Had a beautiful stay at The Glen. The autumn colours were stunning each window you looked out of. Cosy at night time, we enjoyed the open fire, as well as the outdoor fireplaces. Having the river in walking distance was a special treat. Perfect spot to relax, but to also use as a launchpad to the nearby areas of Rutherglen, Beechworth and Bright. Was a perfect escape.

The cabin was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Paula was also incredibly responsive and welcoming. If you're looking to disconnect, recharge, and be surrounded by nature’s beauty, this place is perfect. I was sad I didn’t get enough time to spend there so I can’t wait to come back.

Second time we’ve stayed at Cassandra’s place, great dog friendly property with everything you need, Walking distance to town, lovely fire place and a fire drum outside, well fenced for dogs, we will definitely visit again as we love Beechworth.

The location was perfect for a weekend touring the Barossa. We enjoyed the use of the fire pit and outdoor spa in the spacious outdoor area with spectacular views. The large blankets were a thoughtful addition.

It was our second stay, and the absolute delight was the autumn surroundings. Such beauty! Our Spring stay in October already took our breath away with the surroundings, but so so happy to have now experienced what autumn looks like in such an incredibly tree-filled property. Everything was clean and user friendly and comfortable. We love this place! The town was an absolutely picturesque walk away through lead-filled walk paths beside a flowing creek/river. And I highly recommend my new favourite cafe, the River view Cafe & Wine Bar.

Thank you Sonia and Tim for sharing your gorgeous estate. Everything is available and some many touches make it the perfectly catered escape to the country for visitors. We took advantage of the mountain bike trail and ran / walked the rail trail, browsed Tumbarumba and a fabulous lunch at another local vineyard. The pizza oven, outdoor and indoor fireplaces were a great way to settle down and relax Looking forward to a return in the Spring

Beautiful spot amongst the bush, kangaroos and cockatoos. Fireplace and bathtub were icing on top. Beautiful experience for an Australian-at-home feel.

Lewis went above and beyond what was required - we had long air flights across time zones so he made sure we had the instructions for the lock box. The flat is very close to lots of eateries and Lewis has details of which streets to look along. It’s close to the CBD and just opposite a large park, and the flat is lovely inside. A great place to stay.

The apartment is located in downtown Melbourne, in a very new high rise and was impeccably clean. There is a small IGA a few doors down and some good bars and restaurants close by, as well as only 2 blocks from the Southern Cross station and the river. Although it is relatively sparsely furnished, it has everything that we needed for a short break, and the gym in the building is much better than most hotel gyms. Chris was very responsive and allowed us to leave our luggage because our flight arrived in Melbourne early. Although it didn't impact us because we were out an about for most of the day, there is no TV (but a piano if you are musically inclined) and while the bed was comfortable, it was like a futon on the floor, so it may not be ideal for older people with mobility issues. The price was amazing for such a nice apartment on a high floor in central Melbourne, and I would definitely recommend the apartment.

Overall a nice place to stay. Peter was super responsive and he replace the shampoo immediately when I told him it ran out.

Spotlessly clean with very helpful & prompt communication from hosts. A lift up to unit from basement carparking. Spotlessly clean, with many well thought out extras. Comfortable lounge seating & a perfect out door area. I would highly recommend it to potential guests ... travelling by car ( easy parking)... plus coming by tram or train from city ( stops & station very close). Thank you hosts Dean & Kristen

Gioia’s home was bright and welcoming, it is in an excellent location - extremely close proximity to Woolies, Luna Park and the beach - if you’ve a puppy - there are plenty of doggy friendly places around. The home has everything you need, check in was sooooo easy and provided a restful home for our weekend.

A quiet well maintained property with charm. Extra blankets plus effective heating and great information for local sites and eating opportunities. Everything you need.

This was my first airbnb stay, and i was very impressed, will be comparing others to Bec's place, clean, tidy, quiet, great bed no complaints only praise for the great space to relax and stay at. Will stay again, if you looking for a place to stay, this is it. Thanks Bec for a lovely stay.

A comfortable and confidently located cottage. Easy access to town and Bright without the hustle and bustle. Comfortable furniture inside and dog friendly a big plus. The communal fire pit at the front was a nice touch. Recommend a stay if visiting the area

We had such a wonderful time at Deb and Jim’s beautiful property. The accommodation was gorgeous, rustic and very clean. Deb had left us a yummy home-baked loaf of bread, eggs, homemade jam, milk, biscuits, lovely teas and other staples. They had set the fire for us both nights so it was ready to light as soon as we arrived. Deb and Jim are the loveliest couple - we had a fun walk with Jim and Ollie (their pat-loving dog) and we invited Deb and Jim over for a drink in the evening and had a lovely chat. The beds were very comfortable and accommodation was a perfect size for our family of four. We hugely recommend Deb and Jim’s accommodation as a wonderful place to stay and we’re looking forward to returning!

We had such a lovely and peaceful time at Robert’s sanctuary; we particularly love the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. Robert was so thoughtful to light up both before we arrived late at night, and we felt welcome and cared for even though we never met Robert throughout our two-night stay. We can see ourselves visiting again when we drive between Sydney and Melbourne and stay for several nights to chill and unwind. Thank you for a lovely stay and your hospitality, too.

I had a very enjoyable stay. The room was thoughtfully decorated and very comfortable. It was peaceful, quiet and private with a lovely view of the forest, yet very close to shops and restaurants. Shellie was a wonderful host and I would gladly stay again.

From the moment we arrived, Leura’s Log Cabin felt like something out of a fairytale. Danny was there to great us and gave us a tour around the place and gave us the history of the place. The cabin is the perfect blend of rustic charm and cozy comfort. Every little detail—from the timber interiors to the crackling fireplace—made it feel like a true escape from the hustle. Waking up to mist rolling over the trees, sipping coffee on the deck, and listening to the sounds of nature was the kind of peace I didn’t know I needed. The cabin was spotless, beautifully styled, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can tell it’s been put together with love. It’s just minutes from the heart of Warracknabeal, but still feels private and tucked away. I recently stayed at Chris’ property, and it was absolutely fantastic! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing—if not better. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into making the space both comfortable and welcoming. Loved it.

The perfect place to unwind. The running river is a wonderful soundtrack to a peaceful stay. Beautiful location and grounds where you'll be visited by colourful parrots and busy wrens. Spend the day fishing or hiking to the original Kevington gold mining township then fall into a comfy bed for a great night's sleep. Couldn't ask for more!
