The wood sauna has carrier water and a water pot for heating the water. The sauna deck has direct access to the lake. The toilet is an outdoor shower. Please note, the property is not suitable for small children.

Saunacottage on lake Parannesjärvi in Virrat, 300km north of Helsinki. 30m2 log-house, built in 2005 with 100m of own shoreline. Owners live on same 1,4ha property, 70m away. In the livingroom/kitchen of the cottage you find a double sofa-bed with extra matress for 2 persons. Separate toilet and wood-heated sauna with shower. 10m2 terrace with furniture and lake view. Fully equipped kitchen, gas-barbecue, rowing-boat, Wi-Fi. Very nice, quiet and cosy place for a couple to spend a holiday.

Ihastuttava ’punainen tupa ja perunamaa’ tyyppinen mökki Seitsemisen kansallispuiston läheisyydessä. Myös Riuttaskorven virkistysmetsään pääsee täältä helposti, aarnio- eli säästömetsää (Luoteentie varrella) unohtamattakaan. Mökki on rakennettu aikoinaan vuonna 1963, ja laajennettu sekä modernisoitu vuonna 2012. Laajat retkeilymahdollisuudet lähiympäristössä ja isäntä voi esim. opastaa pääsyä kelkkailureitille suoraan! The Airbnb is on a remote island in a lake, only to be reached by boat. No running water is available, so be aware that you will not have your daily morning shower (but a dip in the lake instead?), a water toilet or you can waste drinking water. Water for doing the dishes and "shower" comes from the lake, drinking water needs to be carried with you or has to be organized. The toilet is a classical outhouse. All this worked well for me, I even enjoyed this style of living for a few days. It gets you back to basics and makes you rethink or value your "normal" style of living. I especially enjoyed the absolute quietness with basically no human made sound. Hannu and Erja are two open-minded and kindhearted people, it was a joy to learn to know them. They let me use their sauna for free, we chatted, had a coffee together and just were good neighbors. I highly appreciate the opportunity they offer through Airbnb for living my dream of "a real Finnish experience". I would totally come back!

Simply loved staying at this place, full 10 experience! The villa and its yard were very beautiful, with direct views of the lake from the big windows. The villa was very well equipped, whenever you were looking for something, it was found. Our days were kept by the songs and passages of different children on the property, as well as two cute sheltti dogs that popped up every now and then to scratch. The villa had modern solutions for even the discerning cottage maker, but also atmospheres, for example, wood sauna and tub. The lot was paid for, and it was heated when we arrived at the cottage. The beach was also good. On the large terrace of the villa, we had breakfast, enjoyed the sun, and also got to yoga! The host was friendly and responded well to our messages. The cottage was easy to find and check-in was effortless. We would definitely stay here again!
