We enjoyed our time here. Jenny’s team communicated well in advance and throughout our stay. We drove up to the main lodge for dinner so we didn’t have to cook. It was delicious! The staff was so kind and took extra time to make sure we had everything we needed. Every person I talked to was absolutely delightful. Honestly we wished we were staying more than one night.

My boyfriend and I spent an unforgettable week at Caryl 's house. Everything was really amazing: our room and bathroom fully equipped, cooking in Caryl's kitchen was a pleasure, she let us use everything; all the house was very clean and we enjoyed a lot the garden and the swimming pool. From the house, it was easy to visit lots of beautiful game reserves and go to the seaside. Even the farm was like a game reserve, it was amazing. At least, the most beautiful thing was the hospitality of Caryl and all her family and the time spent together : we came home with new real friends. Thank you!

A wonderful place to stay. Jos & Shaun were helpful, friendly and welcoming hosts. I also enjoyed the company of the family dogs & cat. The room was huge and clean with a large bed. Breakfast being provided was a bonus. I was able to do a load of laundry and dry it outside. This stay really was a home from home.

What an amazing stay! Sad we had to go but we will definitely be booking again when we go back to Durban. Amazing hosts, amazing neighbourhood. Overall, we really loved our stay at their beautiful and tranquil home. Can’t wait to be back !

We were checked by the co-host Graham to find out is we are still traveling well towards their place and checked to find out our ETA. At arrival, Graham met us directly outside his parking bay to welcome us. He checked us in and showed us to our room including where to find all amenities in his place. We had a really good morning as Graham prepared breakfast for us himself, and I must say we were really impressed by the fruit and hot breakfast he prepared... This venue is really close and central to many scenic routes and tourist places, definitely one to consider...

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! A place opening up into an isolated garden, where I could think without distraction. It was perfect! Such a big garden too! Great to go for a walk around. And there are two doors on either side of the cottage that open up into different sides of the garden. The hosts were even kind enough to allow me to use their pool, which was perfect after a short run around the beautiful neighbourhood to dip in and cool off. Loved it!

I made contact with Jan and she sent me a video how to get to her property. This was great and very accurate. Jan was a fantastic friendly host and very helpful, the room was neat, tidy, very clean and comfortable queen size bed. Once my luggage was in the room she physically showed me where I can find everything inside the kitchen and gave me a dedicated shelf in her fridge to use. Jan was so kind to take me in her car and show me where the restaurants were and the safest beach area to swim. I had a dedicated parking space for my car, my own set of keys so I could come and go as I please. The area is very quiet and peaceful, and I really enjoyed my stay with Jan.

What an absolute Gem of an experience. Matthew was a champ from start to finish. Always available and responsive on chat. We arrived to a bottle of champas, chocolates on the pillows and cold beer in the fridge. As our first holiday with our little one, this house had everything we needed and our little one could crawl around safely. The kitchen was very well stocked with a non-stick pan and pots and the dishwasher made cleaning up a breeze. There was plenty of cupboard space and a lovely fridge. There are 2 Dischem’s and 2 woolies within 10min of the house and a whole host lovely restaurants. Matthew provides plenty of access codes to the property so you can come and go as needed and one feels very safe. The only recommendations we have are: little dustbins in the bathrooms for the ladies and a couple more load shedding lights. Overall 10/10 would recommend.

The stay was extremely comfortable and pleasant. Clare instantly made me welcome and at home. She was a very helpful and friendly host and went out of her way to make my stay comfortable. This especially after learning i was coming to run the comrades marathon. Clare gave me helpful suggestions of places to visit and sites to see. She went out of her way to organize dinner, fruits and washing which made the stay great. I truly enjoyed my stay at her house and would not hesitate to highly recommend it.

This place was just amazing. The host was always available if we needed to communicate with him. The location and view was great. This will definitely be our home away from home.

The area is peaceful and very quiet. It is great for a rest.

It was a very nice night at Daphnes place. Beautiful garden and view, and cozy rooms. Daphne is a very sweet and welcoming host. We recommend staying at her place!

A lovely location. A little piece of paradise. Our stay was short but really lovely.

A beautiful, well kept accommodation. Perfect for what we needed. Walking distance to Umhlanga town. Stunning sea views. Ample parking. Thoughtful personal touches. We especially enjoyed the in-room aircon and close proximity to the famous Umhlanga promenade. We definitely plan to be back!

The room was very clean, the host was very friendly and accomodating and the breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend it, and I'll most definitely visit again when I'm in the area.

Amzing place to stay. Calm and peacefull with plenty to explore in the area - not to mention the amazing farmers market they host on weekend. If your coming through to the area Ollivanders is the place to stay😃

Had a perfect stay. Thea was always just a simple text message away and had loads of local tips and recommendations. Also they let us check out a bit later because our whale watching tour ended late and even extended the (delicious) breakfast time just for us.

If I could give a 6 stars rating, I would. This place is more like a boutique hotel than a Bed and Breakfast. I spent a week there and could not have been happier with my choice. Mandy and Simon are amazing hosts and some of the nicest people you will even meet. The breakfast was superb, with fresh fruits, eggs, and the greatest omelette (Simon you are the “omelette master”). The beds are super comfy and the way the house is set-up the rooms are very quiet. The attention to details to enhance your stay is stunning, everything you may need is there; It shows they have been hosts for a long time. In the back there is a great swimming pool with confortable chairs and you have your little terrace in the back of your room. I have been to lots of AirBnb (40+) in many different countries and this has to be one of the best if not the best. If you visit, you will be very happy with your choice and the place will probably exceed your expectation. Thanks and million Mandy, Simon.
