House holiday rentals in Mount Vernon

Such a wonderful house! Host even left things in case you forgot anything. More than enough towels. Rooms were very large. Pool was very inviting with the slide and diving board! Also played a little basketball with the kids! We are already planning on when to come back. House was very nice! Had a great time!

We had the best long weekend at Katie’s place. My husband and our two year old loved the privacy, layout of the house, pool, and everything about it! We had such a relaxing weekend and my toddler felt right at home. The driveway is easy to miss if you are using Apple Maps but Katie left clear instructions in the check in message! Also, the kitchen does not have a whole lot of pots and pans if you are wanting to cook at the house! Neither was a huge deal for us! Overall it is an amazing home away from home and we would love to come back another time!

Fantastic place- beautiful, comfortable and clean. We didn’t even get to use the pool or hot tub bc our schedule wouldn’t allow but we’d definitely stay here again. Friendly and quick responding host. I’ve hosted through Airbnb for 7 years and got some great ideas from this host. Well done!!

We absolutely LOVED this home!! It was very clean, spacious enough for six people and it was in a great location. We all often struggle to feel at home but instantly it felt like home to us. If we are ever needing a place in this area again, we will 100% be hoping this home is available again. The host was also very responsive and seemed super sweet!

I had a great stay this weekend! The host was super quick to respond to any questions, which made everything really easy. The space was perfect for two families to share, plenty of room for everyone. The pool was amazing and kept the kids thoroughly entertained the whole time. The beds and pillows were really comfortable too! We would definitely stay here again!

Such a wonderful place in a great location for visiting the town of Newburgh and Holiday World! We loved being so close to a cute little down but also the ability to quickly jump on the highway to get to Holiday World. It was so clean and had everything we needed for a quick stay! This was a great place. It was more spacious than it looked in the photos. 9 of us stayed her comfortably to spend UE graduation weekend with my daughter. it was wonderful to be able to cook and have a large table. There a a couple good restaurants in walkable distance. The street is going through a revitalization with new store fronts popping up.

Absolutely beautiful! I loved the history that you could see and feel as soon as you opened the door. The surrounding pasture had cows that we could see and plenty of deer as well. We made friends with the free roaming cats as well. I absolutely loved how peaceful it was and it was very spacious as well. 10 out of 10, I would definitely stay again if I was ever in the area.

Looking for a place downtown especially for a family, this place is a great choice. The house has old charm and comfortable modern furniture and decor. Placed in an old neighborhood that is eclectic and historic. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. We had a nice stay for an extended weekend.

Very comfortable home away from home. Kitchen stocked with coffee tea sugar and assorted creamers. Original wood floors. TVs in each bedroom with lots of channels. Beds and linens comfy. Plenty of towels. W/D available in basement.

Ethan’s home was so clean and beautiful! The quiet countryside was just what we were looking for! He was always quick to respond and extremely friendly! Would recommend this place to anyone!

Bobbie’s place was perfect for us. The pictures don’t do it justice. The word “upscale” is very fitting - Appliances, furniture, bedding, dishes. Everything we needed was there but there wasn’t clutter. Extremely clean and comfortable. Host was very responsive and friendly. Covered private driveway was great! We travel quite a bit and can honestly say this is one of the best we’ve stayed at. We gladly give 5 stars and hope to stay here the next time we come to Evansville.

Matthew & Francesca's home was very relaxing and decorated beautifully! We really enjoyed cooking meals like spaghetti or quick sandwiches in the kitchen and all the pots, pans, dishes and silver ware was already there. They thought of everything even small things like ziploc bags or Aluminum foil they even had spices to use eventhough didn't need to use since brought my own. We really enjoyed eating meals as a family in kitchen and we specifically picked this home due to our son' Asthma & Allergies to carpet well this home has no carpet only small rugs which was offered to be removed if we needed so we appreciate this kindness! Both rooms came with own tv's so nice that our 10 year old could watch his own kid programs. Bathroom toilet paper was nice and soft and appreciate the towel hooks on wall and hand soap dispenser mounted to wall and soap smells really good! Thanks Matthew & Francesca for renting your home to us would highly recommend 👍!

The house was beautiful. It was peaceful and relaxing, which is exactly what we needed. The only thing that would have made this stay better is if I could have taken the master bathroom and kitchen and put it in my own house! The bed was super comfortable which is always a risk when staying somewhere. I will say, we have stayed at other homes that will take off some of the price if you don’t use all the bedrooms and bathrooms (they keep them locked if not needed) and that would have been nice here, as we did not use two of the bedrooms and one of the bathrooms, but it will not stop us from staying here again in the future! We will definitely be booking again.

Rodney was a fantastic host. He was quick to reply to any questions we had. The house was exactly as pictured. The beds were extremely comfortable and we had many options of pillows (some soft, some firm, some extra fluffy!) everything in the house was thoughtful from the pillows to the the light switches with labels to what they went to! We will definitely stay there again next year.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay at Kennedy’s Place. The hosts are super nice & friendly! Rooms are large & appliances are updated! The house is decorated with historic & cute pictures, along with a beautiful picture of Garden of the Gods. Antiques decorate the home, which I love! The backyard is huge & my husband & our dog spent many hours sitting outside & relaxing next to a fire pit. I highly recommend staying at Kennedy’s place! And if you are looking for restaurant recommendations, Morello’s has scrumptious lunch & dinner entries & Mackie’s Pizza has been a favorite of locals. You can even get apples on your pizza! It is delicious!

Well…where do I start? I wish every Airbnb experience could be like this. Kathy has earned superhost just being herself! She was amazing and we didn’t want to leave. We felt so at home at the freadstead. We hope to come back one day. We highly recommend her place to everyone. It was exactly as described, so clean and she has thought of absolutely everything!
