This neighborhood is the oldest, truest, most vivid and original and one of the most typical of Lisbon. Alfama is like a small village in the center of a great metropolis where people meet and greet every day there is a great complicity between neighbors It is housed in an old building but completely renovated at the end of 2011, retaining some features of the original house and full of the spirit that breathes in the area of Lisbon. Every detail has been designed with much love and an unforgettable stay with a unique style. The "The Window to the Sun" has the capacity for 3 people. Very sunny comprises a living room with kitchenette, equipped with all the utensils to prepare meals with you if you were at home. The master bedroom and a bathroom. Towels and bed linen are included. "The Window to the Sun" is prepared to give you a pleasant and full of comfort ... If you need a crib this will also be provided at no extra cost. "The Window to the Sun" is located very close to the viewpoint of the Portas do Sol, the Castelo de São Jorge, the Pantheon, the Fado Museum, getting a few meters of transport, shops, cafes, restaurants, fado houses, bars, flea market, museums, art galleries, craft shops ... is in the center of your stay perfect. Studio open space with an independent entrance integrated in a house of contemporary architecture, where we live, next to a ruin of an old mill. Fantastic view of the countryside. Bed for 2 people, with the possibility of hosting another in an extra sofa (20 euros extra payment). Fully equipped kitchen. Magnificent bathroom. There is no central heating or air conditioning, but heater and fan are provided. The house is 25 minutes from the beaches of Comporta, Melides, Sines, etc. Fiber Internet.

WOW! What a property, what a host! This villa is EXCEPTIONAL - honestly the photos don’t even do it justice. It is really big with beautiful high ceilings and light streaming in everywhere. The decor is super classy and it is absolutely pristine. Ricardo takes hosting to the next level with his care and kindness - a generous welcome basket awaited us upon arrival, he organised for two tubs of ice cream to be delivered half way through our stay and was full of amazing and helpful suggestions. He even made sure we could get access to a very private and secluded beach which you needed a special pass for. Ricardo is so thoughtful and so charming. Hosts like him are the reason we love using Airbnb. If I could give more than 5 shiny gold stars I would. Do not hesitate. Book this gem of a property before someone else does. It is so close to everything, so special, so peaceful and oh so perfect. X

Everything about this place was above and beyond. I cannot imagine a better location or a more royal feel to a place. Located on the central square, walking distance to many sightseeing places, right next to a street with all the restaurants and souvenir shops. The balcony was amazing (you can actually see it on the cover of a tourist Lisbon map). You feel like royalty standing on that balcony and looking down on the square (reminded me of a balcony the British royals greet people from or the one that Evita was addressing the crowd from in Argentina). The apartment itself is fully stocked and comfortable, with a fully functional kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The windows are soundproof, so if the noise bothers you, you can virtually completely eliminate it by closing the windows. So just do yourself a favor, stop looking at any other places and just book it!

We had an amazing time in this truly gorgeous apartment: very well located, the apartment is tasteful and classy, practical and extremely clean. Great water pressure in the bathrooms, AC worked well thankfully as it was very hot, thankful for the washer dryer and coffee pods. Andre was very responsive and helpful. We would def come back. This tiny home is the perfect mix of remote and romantic. The view is stunning, and the location is close by wonderful towns and beaches, like Azoia, Sesimbra, and Praia do Penedo. We enjoyed relaxing on the property and cooking meals from home, while having close proximity to other activities further inland like horseback riding on beach cliffs with Lits Horses and cave kayaking the Sesimbra coast with Our Roots. It was the perfect stay!

The place had everything you needed, was peaceful and quiet, and Janete was a wonderful host. She made us feel very welcome and set out things for our toddler, and even left a little gift basket.
