Beautiful place with lots of different types of spaces to hang out in! Great set-up that it allowed individual privacy while still having larger group areas. Very minor inconvenience but the wifi didn't reach to the bottom floor. Kitchen had all the basic necessities and was great for group cooking and meals.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The home was absolutely beautiful clean, cozy, and full of charm. The M&M theme throughout the house was such a fun and unique touch that the kids absolutely loved. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully set up to make guests feel right at home. There were so many activities to keep the kids busy, from games to entertainment areas it really made the trip stress-free and enjoyable for the whole family while it rained for days. One of the most thoughtful parts of our stay was the host’s attention to detail and care. My daughter has food allergies, and the host went above and beyond by providing alternative candy just for her. That small act of kindness meant so much and truly stood out. The location was also great close to everything we needed but still peaceful and quiet. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would absolutely recommend this home to others. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

Great house for a group in the area for a wedding. All the bedrooms were a good size and the downstairs area was newly redone and almost like a separate apartment. The pool was not open since it was too early in the season, but looked like a nice place to hang out in the summer months. Kitchen, dining/living area, and deck were well furnished and the fireplace worked well and was a nice touch on a rainy day. The yard leads down to a small lake where you can kayak or use the 2-person paddle boat. All in all, we had a great stay.

Vanessa's home was perfect for what we needed on our trip. It was cozy, spacious and my family was able to gather around the dinning room table to do a puzzle. Vanessa was very friendly, accommodating and responsive. We look forward to returning in the future!

We loved this home!!! We were in NJ for a wedding and it was the perfect spot for us to meet and unwind in between all of the activities associated with the wedding. We loved seeing the deer each evening and enjoyed walking down to the pier and sitting at the lake. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for our family. In fact we were so pleased that we were considering bringing the family up again for a vacation this summer. You truly have the best of both worlds…the convenience of being near NYC and yet so close to the peace and serenity of the lake. Thank you for sharing your home with us!!! We hope to come back soon!

We had such a great time staying here! The place was super clean, cozy, and the photos don’t do it justice. It had everything we needed for a relaxing girls trip, and the location was perfect for what we needed, and quiet for a peaceful night. The host was also really friendly and quick to respond, which we appreciated. If had to suggest anything, it’d just be adding a few extra blankets or linens, and maybe some paper towels, especially for guests who may run cold or are staying with a group. Honestly, such a great stay. I’d 100% come back!

This is a spectacular property and the photos do not entirely do it justice. The interior is cozy and welcoming while also feeling very open and spacious. The flooring, bedding, and furniture were clean and pleasant. The home renovation was done thoughtfully and with careful attention to aesthetic and functional detail for comfort and joy in every aspect of the guest experience. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained and fun to explore. The fence effectively and safely allowed our dog do roam free, which added to the convenience and relaxation of the weekend. We eagerly look forward to returning!

We had an amazing stay at Darrel’s lakehouse on Lake Hopatcong! The home was comfortable, the beds were cozy, and the views of the lake were absolutely stunning. Darrel was a fantastic host—extremely responsive and helpful with any questions we had throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the whips on the dock, which made docking our boat safe and simple. We grilled dinner every night out on the deck, and our dog had the best time enjoying the space and surroundings. It’s worth noting there are steps from the house down to the dock, which was clearly described in the listing. For us, it was a nice little workout, but it might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. All in all, a beautiful spot with a great host—we would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway! We are looking forward to the next time we can stay at this home!

Absolutely a dream to stay at. Modern and high end with warm touches throughout. The location is an a great neighborhood and easy to get to the city or around the north NJ area easily. From the comfortable bedding to the coffee bar everything is thoughtfully curated for a stress free stay. Stephen communicated quickly to any question and I highly recommend and would be thrilled to stay at any of his properties

House was large, old but charming, comfortable. Location was great; back deck looked directly out onto a pretty lake, perfect for evening conversation. Hosts went out of their way to provide instant information and were very accommodating to our uncertain arrival. My friends and I couldn't have been happier with our experience in Stanhope.

This is an absolutely gorgeous house in a stunning location. The photos don't do it justice. We were there in the dead of winter, and I can't even imagine how beautiful it is in the summer. This is an absolutely ideal spot to come together with family or friends and spend a wonderful time cooking, eating and/or working together. Every piece of furniture is comfortable, the lighting is warm and inviting, and the atmosphere is such that you never want to leave. Every amenity you could need is 7 minutes away, but when you're on the property, you feel like you're in your own little world. Many, many thanks for a magical week. We hope to come back.

Highly recommend! We loved this place for a quick weekend getaway. The house exceeded expectations from the layout to the decor. We were always comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out. The lake views and wildlife were the cherry on top. Zach was extremely responsive and generous in helping us get settled in.

Had a good time with my family. A recommendation I would suggest to add photos of Mohawk Lake, mention close by restaurants also grocery stores.

Marc made all aspects of our stay easy. He was very responsive when we woke up after our first night to six inches of snow on the ground. He had the driveway plowed before we wanted to leave. House is located on a very nice piece of property nestled in the woods. The driveway leading to the house is a bit steep, however we had no trouble navigating to the house. Marc really wanted us to have a pleasant stay and we thank him for that!

My family had a terrific vacation at the lake! The place was fantastic, in a great location, very roomy, and very well appointed. Alyxie was extremely helpful and responsive. We had everything a family could want on a lake house vacation. We would definitely recommend the place and will stay again on a future lake vacation!

I’ve stayed at Mike’s place few times and he is very consistent. The place is always clean, very comfortable bed and linens, shower pressure is great and the location is wonderful close to everything. I definitely will come back again.

Truly an oasis, the pictures do not do it justice, a perfect property and layout for our group. Our teens were on the lower level walk out and we were on the upper level with our little ones. Ambers kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our group, and we made great use of the front porch, dock, floating lily pad, and mini kayaks available for use. The property is beautiful with its peak jutting out into the lake and the natural rocky boulders up against the waterline. It really felt like we had left the city for the weekend and wandered into a peaceful oasis of nature. Thank you to Amber, such a wonderful host!

John was a great host! Friendly and super responsive! The house was just as described and pristine condition.

Had a really nice stay at this place. Check in and checkout were really easy. Yvey is excellent and quick with communication on anything you need. We got cold with the changing spring to summer weather (as things go with May) and extra heaters were provided so we were comfortable. Taps in bathroom were switched around so I got confused when trying to take a hot shower, but that was the only thing we were confused about. Rooms were clean and everything was well taken care of. House is also in a great spot to walkable restaurants. You’re getting what you paid for if you need a nice place to stay with a really attentive host near lots of excellent food options.
