The Mill

Recently refurbished to a high standard. The Mill nestles on the banks of the River Lyvennet. It is a tranquil setting surrounded by wild life. This property accommodates up to six people. The Mill is surrounded by footpaths to explore. There is free fly fishing for guests along our private stretch of river banks. Kings Meaburn is a small farming village 5 miles west of Appleby and 10 miles south of Penrith. You will find the White Horse Inn in the village serving local ale/food.

It's open plan, with a wood-burning stove to keep you warm on an evening, with well-equipped kitchen and dining area. It has large windows with lots of natural light. The garden is abundant in wildlife throughout the year, and has a lovely terrace to sit out on with comfortable outdoor seating. The house, dating back to 1837, has been refurbished to a very high standard. The lake is across the road from the property boundary, so there are lake views from many rooms and from the large gardens and meadow. We have 4 luxurious double bedrooms, all ensuite, there is a beautiful kitchen and dining room, and an elegant drawing room. Close to Ambleside (centre of the Lake District), with easy access to other villages, the lakes, and the fells. On site parking. As good as it gets!

The Fenwick Arms gastro pub is a short 12minute walk away at the bottom of the private driveway. Whilst adjoining the main house the accommodation offers a great deal of privacy and includes a separate entrance & private outdoor area.
