Situated in a quiet neighbourhood and surrounded by other quality homes, this recently refurbished home is only a 10 minute walk to the beach, close to Splash Town and local cafes. There is plenty of off street parking and also vehicle access to the fully enclosed backyard for a boat or caravan. A boat ramp, golf courses, beaches and jetties are all close by. Come relax and enjoy all Moonta Bay has to offer.

Cottage in Moonta Mines

A quaint and crooked Cornish cottage

This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! We loved that it was situated within an old cornish mining village and that the beach was just 5 minutes drive away. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND BATH MATS, THANK YOU.

Large one bedroom unit, set on it's own block of land. Located in a quieter part of Moonta Bay. You are a couple of minutes drive to the shops of Moonta and the historical Moonta Mines. A couple of minutes drive to the Moonta Bay beach and jetty, which includes a free water park for kids to play at the foreshore. 5 minute drive to Pt Hughes boat ramp. There is plenty of off street parking and room for children to ride bikes safely away from the road. Small dogs are permitted outside.

Master bedroom, one queen bed, shower, separate toilet and powder room. Happy to have a discussion with regard to bringing your pet. Three minute walk to south beach, jetty, local store and Tavern. Room for boat outside. 9 hole Greg Norman designed Golf Course close by. Owners live upstairs. Shared laundry. Dog on site.

'BEACHED' - Step Off The Deck And Onto The Sand

From the moment we walked in the door at “Beached” we knew we were going to have a great week. As soon as we opened the blinds, the most amazing view of the entire coastline of Wallaroo greeted us. The home was well stocked with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, and most importantly, plenty of wine glasses. It had everything we needed and the location was just stunning. The description is absolutely spot on. Step off of the timber deck straight onto the sand, which we did many times during our stay. If we weren’t out walking along the beautiful sandy beach, we were sitting on the deck, with a coffee, or, maybe a glass of wine or gin and tonic in hand, watching the ferry come and go, boats out fishing, and amazing, and at times, spectacular sunsets. There is a super little café a 5 minute walk from Beached which serves great coffee. Carole is a fantastic host and made sure our check in was smooth and easy, with comprehensive instructions. We will definitely be back.

This place was absolutely stunning. It was like a home away from home but with all the extra comforts. We took our gorgeous 4 legged girls as our 12 yr old girl is in the last few months of her life. Having a pet friendly accomodation, with secure fencing, was so important to us. It meant we could share some memories with our girl one last time. Everything was clean and easily accessible. Across from the park and a short walk to the Main Street. The spa was a luxury to enjoy. Yes it ran slow, but we took the opportunity to run the water and make some yummy food and it went by quickly. No issues there. Thank you so much to Deb & Rob for allowing us to stay with our furkids. It meant so much to us. An absolutely perfect retreat!!! Thank you !!

We stayed at Tammy's Airbnb in Moonta for two nights and had an amazing experience. The house was absolutely spotless, showcasing meticulous attention to cleanliness. Tammy's styling and thoughtful touches throughout the property made our stay even more enjoyable. The home felt welcoming and comfortable, a true home away from home. We stayed one night at this beautifully renovated property while passing through the Yorke Peninsula. The barn doors add a beautiful rustic touch, and the space is well-appointed, comfortable, and full of charm. Peaceful and secluded, yet walking distance to the Moonta Old Sweet Shop and Moonta Mines Museum. We made the most of the sunny weather on our departure day and explored the Moonta Mines Walking Trail, including the recently restored Hughes Enginehouse and Smiths Shaft—so much fascinating copper mining history in the area. We’re already looking forward to returning in winter to enjoy the fireplace and soak up the cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend for a relaxing and convenient stay.

We had a great time at Carmelina's place. Great location, right next to the beach and the North Beach Cafe was outstanding. The place was neat and clean along with a great backyard. Highly recommend for a short stay.
