House holiday rentals in Montaren-et-Saint-Médiers

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Magical!! Andy and Jess have an absolutely beautiful place that embodies what Airbnb is all about! The decor is well thought out and gorgeous with beautiful French antiques and comfy furniture. The yard was massive with a perfect swimming pool, big grassy area, and places to sit in the shade. We made dinner one evening and sat and chatted with our host which was probably one of our favorite nights. Andy was so warm and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for cute towns and markets. The animals were the happiest pets I’ve ever met and it was fun to hang out with the 2 sweet dogs and friendly cat. Can’t say enough good things about this property. You can feel the soul of it as soon as you enter and I only wish we’d had more time here on our trip through France. Thank you Andy and Jess for your hospitality!

Couldn’t have asked for a better house - ticked all the boxes and was conveniently close to Avignon without being in town. The house was spotless with all amenities thought about. Pool, loungers, outside dining was brilliant. Will definitely be back.

This old converted water mill makes a lovely family house, perfect for all generations. It is isolated (no need to worry about children screaming in the swimming pool) and surrounded by beautiful countryside, with signed hiking trails in all directions. You can walk to the very attractive village of Lussan for an ice cream or drink, (but any sort of food shopping does mean a car journey.) Our group comprised grandparents, parents and three children (aged 3 to 8). The children loved the pool, the trampoline and the bikes. The adults enjoyed boules and molkii. (There's also table tennis and lots of board games.) Vincent, the owner, lives close by and we were amazed at how quickly and efficiently he came round to deal with any little problems.

The place is simply sublime. The house is beautiful and the environment is a real postcard. It is a peaceful place, between stones and nature. The owners are adorable and Blandine is really responsive. Thank you very much.

The lodge is located in the middle of a beautiful natural environment. You can completely unwind there. We slept a total of 2 nights in the lodge because of our transit and went to explore the area by car. There is plenty to do for those who love sports activities and you can find nice wine farms and cheese shops to take home. The house was beautiful and the interior was well thought out. We recommend everyone to stay here!

A beautiful accommodation in the midst of beautiful nature. Adrien was always friendly and helpful as a host.

House with a lot of character and located in a very beautiful region near Uzes and the Pont du Gard. Marie-Laure was very kind and attentive to arrival and departure times. Her house is very neat and beautifully decorated. The exterior is very pleasant at any time of the day. Recommended.

We had found exactly what we expected - a super quiet place - you think you are in the middle of the forest. We loved the really beautiful furnishings of the integrated bedroom and shower room. Everything is very tasteful and of high quality. The air conditioning is outstanding - with a high-quality air conditioner, which cools the sleeping area down to the desired temperature, absolutely noise-free and draft-free. The kitchen area is located in front of the house - a kind of conservatory, which can be opened almost completely to nature via two large sliding doors, in a cool industrial look. The large pool area is just a few steps away - very well maintained and offers a spectacular view of the Pont du Gard. And - every evening we played a relaxed game of boules on the integrated playing field. The apartment is the perfect starting point for beautiful bike tours, or to get to one of the very good restaurants in the village center on foot. Great accommodation. We'll be back!

Great stay in the very peaceful hamlet of Bourdiguet. The pool - chlorine free and stunning - is that star of the show (probably the best we've experienced) but the house and garden are lovely too. Jacques is on hand to help but never intrudes. Great cycling and hiking from the bottom of the drive. Highly recommend

We had a great stay at the magnanerie du Monteil. The place is quiet and charming. We were able to benefit from Lydie's many tips on activities (hiking, canoeing, swimming in rivers, visiting charming villages, lunch in good restaurants). A perfect stay!

We had a lovely stay. Indeed, everything is there for a superb vacation: welcoming hosts, quiet and well-equipped house, pleasant outdoor area with the pool. In addition, the accommodation is well located for discovering the region. We thank Pascal and Marie for their kindness and simplicity.

the weather being mixed we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool, the outdoor terrace and the barbecue. the location is great for discovering the Gard from end to end. Sylvie is very good advice, we recommend the accommodation.

A perfect little house to escape to! Ideally located in the Cevennes, super quiet, decorated with great taste and well equipped. With extra pool and beautiful pétanque track... And hosts available, responsive and very friendly!

Very good stay in Jennyfer and Vincent's farmhouse. This large house, full of charm, is perfectly suited for a large family, we were 10. The equipment is numerous and in perfect condition. Air conditioning is welcome in this season. There are many stairs, but you can bypass the steepest to access the rooms. The pool is very nice, grassy spaces to play, shade for naps... and a beautiful terrace for meals around the BBQ. Mosquitoes are kept at bay by insecticidal coils, flies are at home... This is a beautiful location for sightseeing, canoeing, hiking or mountain biking. Very good welcome by Cassandra and her sister, very responsive to solve a small technical problem. I would highly recommend this home.

A corner of heaven! I was looking for the charm of old stones, nature, the tree-lined garden and the functionality of a modern home, I was captivated, it was perfect! We stayed with our 2 children aged 6 and 8, the dream for them. I was afraid that the pool would be too small but not at all, it is larger than in the photos, they had fun there for 5 days without getting tired. I often rent on Airbnb and rarely find gems like this place.

The villa is surrounded by quintessential Provence countryside and the views are spectacular. The villa is very comfortable inside and is finished to a very high standard. The pool is large and the garden is beautifully maintained, making the outdoor spaces very pleasant to relax in. We were just a couple with a young baby, but the villa would be ideal for a larger group. The village of Villedieu is a short (5-10 min) walk down the hill, and is very pretty and peaceful. There is a nice square where you can sit and have a drink, and there is also an Epicerie for essentials. Other recommendations include: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (particularly Le Verger des Papes), Avignon and Pont du Gard, which are all within driving distance (45 mins to 1 hr). The host (Simon) also had some other good recommendations.

this house hidden in nature is the ideal place for nature and peace seekers. it is big enough for a large group without neighbors to hear or see any thing. a real recommendation in the hills of france

Staying in Beth's accommodation was a lovely experience. Cozy, comfortable, quiet and close to town, it was wonderful. Also, the pool was very welcoming on a couple of hot days, after exploring the local region. Beth is a very kind, friendly and helpful host. We loved our visit to St-Remy and Beth and her accommodation were a large part of that experience! Wonderful!
