Blacksmith's workshop

In ancient times, the house was a blacksmith's workshop with his small adjacent home. Recently renovated in a contemporary style, it has become a two-story residence of about 80 square meters. On the ground floor is the living area with the dining table, kitchen, bathroom and a wine pantry, reached by a wooden staircase with staggered steps. A second black iron staircase leads to the intermediate mezzanine where the study is organized. The balustrade becomes the worktop and overlooks the double height. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom. The floors are in resin-coated concrete and part with tiles in recycled cement paste; the upper floor is finished with parquet. Particularly unique are the vintage furnishings, the lighting of the rooms and the contemporary art paintings by a young Sicilian artist-designer. The house is equipped with winter and summer air conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV and dishwasher. A few kilometers away is the beach of Porto Palo (Blue Flag) with the possibility of boat trips, ultralight flights and bike rentals. Nearby, less than a 25-minute drive, you can play golf at the beautiful Golf Verdura Resort. The most important archaeological sites of Sicily are easily reachable: Selinunte (15 minutes), Cave di Cusa (25 minutes), Segesta (45 minutes), Eraclea Minoa (40 minutes) and Agrigento and "Scala dei Turchi" (50 minutes) To visit: the city of Sciacca, Sambuca di Sicilia (Borgo più bello d'Italia 2016), the Literary Park of Tomasi di Lampedusa in Santa Margherita (15 minutes), the "Cretto di Burri" in Gibellina (30 minutes), the Stagnone di Marsala (Mothia), the Saline and the city of Trapani, Erice (all about 60 minutes by car) The city is well connected to Palermo's Falcone Borsellino and Trapani Birgi airports, both within an hour's drive.

Our little house is in the middle of the countryside, not far from the town of San Giovanni Gemini. It is ideally located for those who are traveling the mid-western part of the Sicilian island. In this area, you can hike in the beautiful “Cammarata Mountain Natural Reserve”. The place is only 20km from the Andromeda Theatre and the Hermitage of Saint Rosalia, 45 km from the Greek Temples of Agrigento, 40 km from Farm Cultural Park in Favara e Sant’Angelo Muxaro.

Villa completed in 2016. This is located on a small hill and overlooks the entire coast. The view from the house allows you to admire the coast of the Torre Salsa nature reserve on the left, the Bovo Marina beach in the center, and the Eraclea Minoa coast on the right. The house is located inside the WWF Reserve of Torre Salsa, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, in one of the most enchanting and pristine areas at 800 meters from Torre Salsa beach, accessible on foot or by bike through a narrow dirt path. To reach the house there is a road in very bad condition, so we recommend renting an SUV, about 2 km long, and it is precisely the difficulty of access to make this place magical, away from noise.

Casa Corte on the Gulf of Eraclea Minoa

30 km from Sciacca and the Valley of the Temples of Agrigento on the Gulf of Eraclea Minoa, in a hilly position but a short distance from the beautiful beach of Bovo Marina, stands a beautiful house-court from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view. From the living room window, the view runs from Torre Salsa beach (nature reserve) to Capo Bianco. Bovo Marina beach is not very crowded even in the middle of summer.
