House holiday rentals in Montale

Amazing place! Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Lucca hills. Very peaceful. Lots of birdsong. We saw a deer in the garden! The grounds are brilliant and the place is the perfect size for a couple. We loved eating on the terrace with the great view, and swimming in the private pool. Only a short drive to Lucca which has some amazing restaurants (our favourite was Osteria de Pasquale). There’s some great vineyards in the area - our favourite was Fattoria Sardi. If I was reading this review I wouldn’t think twice about booking!

Incredible stay and Bernardino and his family were incredibly welcoming and pleasant. They helped us check in later and were there to help us with any questions we had. Absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful Tuscan retreat.

Ilaria was a wonderful host. The house is located on top of a hill, with a huge and very nice garden and wonderful views. Perfect for kids to play.

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

We loved our stay at Michaela’s house. The views were beautiful and it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Great location, very short walk to the town or easy bus ride into the center of Florence. We will definitely be back!

What a great place to stay while visiting Tuscany. The home is a renovated medieval watchtower located up a dirt road, tucked on a hilltop overlooking the valley. Jacopo, the host, was so kind, hospitable and responsive during our 5-day visit. Would definitely recommend this place to explore Tuscana.

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful this apartment on the hillside is. The apartment itself is nice and cosy and spacious, and the kitchen contains a little bottle of olive oil produced from their own olives. But it is the location, the gardens and the little farm and the view across the valley which can take your breath away. Sonia is happy and welcoming and patient. She showed us around the wine and olive farm and was always approachable when we contacted her. There are two guest apartments side by side, but it is quite private nonetheless. Note that you can hear sounds from the other apartment quite easily. I cannot recommend this enough! Would love to come back.

Yet another fabulous stay! Thank you Lyndall for sharing your special space. Getting in on the village pizza night was a surprise bonus and so fantastic to enjoy the local community. Until next time :)

Many thanks to Patrizia for all the advice she provided during our stay. The apartment is very well located in the city center. We had a great time. Prato is a very pretty city and pleasant to visit. I would recommend this place without a second thought.

We loved staying in Carolina’s house in Montecatini Alto. It was a lovely welcoming place to wake up in and return to at the end of the day. The view from the windows and the patio is extraordinary and sitting out enjoying it was one of the best parts of the holiday. The house had all we needed. Carolina was a wonderful host; friendly, quick to reply and extremely helpful. The village is a lovely quiet place to stay and we wouldn’t look anywhere else if we return to the area.

Nice house in the hills above Pistoia. It is a few degrees cooler than in the city, and you have a beautiful view. We enjoyed the chickens scratching around and the sweet cat. Also, in the evening, a lot of fireflies could be seen. Annalisa is very friendly and caring.

Sára is a great host. She responded to questions very quickly. The whole, large house is at your disposal, cozy, you feel at home. Above-standard equipment, everything beautifully clean. There is no air conditioning, but we didn't mind. The house has a large stone terrace with an amazing view of the countryside. Parking by the house. We'll definitely be back🙂.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect. Carolina and her mother were most helpful and assisted when we had questions. We found the property so peaceful and beautiful. 10/10 stay. The breakfast was wonderful every morning. Thank you! Would recommend renting a car for this property!

We spent 6 days in a cozy, tastefully decorated place. Allessandra and Egizia were very welcoming and very concerned about our well-being. If we come back to this area, we'll be sure to get back in touch. Good compromise to visit Florence. beautiful Pistoia region.

Benedetta was the perfect host! The location was perfect for us with a small park to exercise our dog and a fenced garden. There is a pastercceria a stone's throw which did excellent coffee too. We also made use of the local butcher who had some very appetising produce.

Rarely had such a nice hostess. As a welcome, there was a Tuscan specialty prepared by Domenica herself In the 2nd week, a homemade pizza and homemade jam as a farewell gift 👍 I can only recommend all of this 100% And what is particularly worth mentioning: the PEACE

Cannot say enough about how great this little gem is- great location for outdoor activities and stunning beautiful scenery. Very quiet on the top of this hillside Road… With lemon trees in an olive Grove how much better can it get! You can see the town of Vinci and way beyond from this height. The hosts could not have been any more kind and generous with their time and suggestions. Simply a wonderful Airbnb!

The house is located in a quiet area with lots of greenery. Easy access to the road that leads to Florence and other cities in Tuscany. Comfortable beds, equipped kitchen and various amenities. Paola and Francesco are exceptional hosts, demonstrating attention and kindness in all interactions. We received valuable tips from Paola, who even helped us find and book tennis and pickleball courts. Highly recommended space for families traveling with children. We will definitely return more often!

We were very happy with our experience here! The hot tub was great, and the area itself was truly idyllic. It was amazing to be surrounded by olive trees and grapevines. There are many great restaurants within walking distance that we can highly recommend. We're very pleased with both the host and our stay!

We spent 2 weeks in June in Castello di Cireglio. After a long drive, we were greeted by Britta and Marco with Prosecco. The place is beautiful, peace is guaranteed. Nevertheless, it is about an hour from the sights, mountains and beach. We got to know a piece of Tuscany and many nice people in the 2 weeks. But our favorite people have become Britta and Marco🫶🏻. The two are great people and more than just Airbnb hosts. They have created a place of well-being from the house, where tradition meets modernity. We slept wonderfully in the bed, although it was hot outside, it was always pleasantly cool in the house. We cooked in the very well-equipped kitchen and had breakfast and dinner on the terrace. The decoration in the house is incredibly beautiful, from the ceramics to the paintings. Thank you for the time in your beautiful house and the time with you. Our house is always open for you!

We were there from May 31 to June 13, 2025. A great stay in a beautiful authentic house, with a swimming pool in the spacious garden. Car was inside the lockable gate. That's nice. Stefania is a friendly and warm host. She responds very quickly when you send a message. Thank you for that. There is nothing to complain about for us, highly recommended! Maddie and Peter
