The centre can be reached on foot by walking along the lakeshore or the park, or by a few bus stops (which directly connects the flat with the station and the city centre). The flat has just been refurbished, has all the comforts, furnished with care and with artwork that makes it unique. The terrace has a spectacular view of the lake. Francesca was an excellent host during my stay in Lugano. She was very responsive and replied to any questions I had within a few minutes. We stayed with Silvey (and her sweet dog Liebe) in Perledo to wrap up our 20th anniversary trip, and it couldn’t have been a better way to end it. Her son Daniele was also around to help host, and both of them were incredibly kind and thoughtful. Silvey made us breakfast each day and even served us a delicious dinner one night. She truly went above and beyond, even tidying our room and making sure we always had fresh cold water. The room was perfect—clean, private entrance, en suite bathroom, and everything we needed. The outdoor space was something else: infinity pool, hot tub, outdoor dining area, a huge umbrella for shade, and beautiful plants everywhere. The home is tucked among olive trees, and there’s even a wood-burning sauna nestled in them. The view of Lake Como was stunning—one of those sights you just stop and take in. And it’s only a short drive down to Varenna. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful stay with incredibly thoughtful hosts.
