As a medical student, I was again in the Airbnb of Dr. Thuraiya. I had already been very enthusiastic about the last stays, but this time I was particularly impressed by the way problems were handled. Our air conditioning had not worked and that same evening, despite it being a weekend, someone came by to fix it. Communication works really well and if you have any problems, you will be supported 24/7. The entire staff is very nice and helpful.

Doreen’s place is spacious, peaceful and quiet. I love the view from the window, almost like being in a safari park in the middle of the city. Overall I’d say it was the money. Doreen was also really accommodating with some of my demands and communicated pretty well. Would I stay again if come to Dar es Salaam? Definitely yes.

Even though we arrived after midnight, the guard was waiting at the gate, as though we had called. It took a while to get to Homeland.Bro, due to the road had been flooded due to the rain. Luckily we asked a guy walking, he was very familiar with Homeland. He hopped in our van, and took us directly to our location. People in the neighborhood were very friendly. We simply loved the pristine landscape, such a private, futuristic living space.

Wonderful stay. Rita and family have built an inspiring space, connected to culture and nature. I enjoyed the short walk to the spacious and mostly private beach, the delicious and healthy meals at night with the family, and the thoughtful conversations with a community of artists and cultural workers.
