Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Mitchell County

We absolutely LOVED Meredith's place! It was newly renovated with beautiful touches and an incredible view of the mountains. We were in town for an event which kept us busy coming and going over the rainy weekend, but while we were at Meredith's, it was nice to enjoy some peace, surrounded by nature. We'd love to return on a sunny day to enjoy sitting on the deck, read a book and practice a little yoga! If you are looking for a quiet retreat, Meredith's place is perfect!

My husband and some friends celebrated his birthday at Jayne’s Airbnb, and they had a wonderful time. The house was great, and Jayne was very responsive to questions. Highly recommend.

The communication was fantastic! Never took them any time at all to answer any questions. From the moment we pulled up, going through the house everything appeared as it did in the pictures and description. House was very clean. AC took us a couple minutes to figure out lol but worked fantastic. They had so many extras, aside from the dishes, cups, silverware, etc. There are plenty of paper towels, trash bags, Ziploc, water in fridge, snacks, and beehive, cookie jar etc. I have never stayed in a Airbnb or VRBO that had so many towels and wash cloths, very much appreciated. there was already hand soap, plenty of toilet paper and a fresh hand towel hanging on the rod. had four adults taking showers every day always plenty of hot water. There are TVs in both bedrooms and in the living room. The table in the dining area was really big. That is where we sat most of the time.Everything was thought of to make you feel very welcomed and at home! Thank you Andrea & Rachel!

The host is fantastic! She really wants to make sure you are comfortable. The location is private, quiet and well maintained. We had a very nice stay!

This house was wonderful. The host was very responsive and welcoming. The setting is beautiful. Our dog loved the fenced in yard and my wife and I loved the welcoming living room and spacious kitchen. We will definitely be back.

This is a large beautiful home. The porch and mountain views were a great escape and a joy to wake up to. Will definitely be back!

This home is beautifully designed. From the floor plan to the decor- it's such a clean relaxing place. The location is peaceful and private with a view of the small vineyard which reminded us of Italy. The beds were comfortable and the linens are great quality! The closets had plenty of towels with extra pillows and blankets. The kitchen was stocked with anything needed to cook along with some items to use in the pantry. Courtney and Reese are amazing hosts. They provided us all information we needed to access and enjoy the home. Any questions we had were answered with a quick replies. Truly a pleasant experience and would love to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. Rodney and Dulcy were very accommodating. Their apartment is conveniently close to a relative we were visiting in Woodfin.

It is very cozy for a short stay. It is about 14 minutes to Grandfather Mountain. Great communicating with Amy prior arrival, she greeted us at the entrance.

From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless—check-in was a breeze, the space was spotless, and every little detail felt thoughtfully curated. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The home was cozy, stylish, and had all the comforts you’d hope for (plus a few extra touches that made it feel special). Communication was quick and friendly, and they made sure I felt welcome the entire time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommend!

Warren’s place was great for us and we had everything we needed. A beautiful location, very relaxing. Next time we are bringing the s’mores supplies!

Their place was exactly what I needed during my trip to Asheville while searching for a new home for our family. The location couldn't have been more ideal—centrally situated with easy access to main roads, local restaurants, and all the conveniences the area has to offer. The home itself was immaculate, thoughtfully appointed, and incredibly peaceful—an oasis of calm that made it easy to relax and recharge after long days. It had every amenity I needed for a comfortable multi-day stay, from cozy furnishings to a well-equipped space that felt like a true home away from home. I absolutely loved my time there and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Asheville. Huge thanks to Paul and Sonomi for their exceptional hospitality!

Lynn's place was perfect for our family. The backyard is gorgeous and the view is truly incredible. Lynn went above and beyond as a host to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Asheville.

We had a wonderful stay in Asheville, and we're very comfortable in this peaceful setting. Kelle and Max have created a beautiful space to stay. Had the pleasure of meeting Issac. Very good folks. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Very close to restaurants, shops, grocery store and entertainment. We were very pleased and looking forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Issac and Tiffany.

We had a great weekend get away. I really didn’t want to leave . The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. My family loved it and already wants to go back . There is a steep climb up the mountain you will need four wheel drive .

Beautiful!! Great stay

The home along the creek is very nice, it is 100 years old and one can imagine all the history gone by. We like to go down to the lower end of the property to hang out along the creek. It was very peaceful there. The weather was cold and wet, but Saturday finally got sunny:) One does not even hear the traffic going by, not that there is any. The kitchen was great for any cooking that you want to do. There is plenty of seating in the living room. The bedroom that we used the back one has a view of the creek. There are plenty of games and puzzles to keep one busy. The main road has been recently been paved and the main road into Newland is back in order as well. We didn't try the AT as it was raining, which has a trail at the end of the road that the house is on.

It was raining lightly when we arrived, we had no idea Hurricane Helene was also coming to the mountains. We lost power the second day and water, Kenny and heather came to check on us and brought us a propane stove to cook on and boil water. This community has been hit hard by the storm, but it was incredible to see how quickly people came together to help each other. Kenny knew someone who had satellite internet and solar power, and they were happy to let people use it to get messages out. Another person had a satellite phone and offered to send messages for people. There is a local monastery, and the monks worked hard to clear the roads of mud and debris. When this area recovers, you must show them some love and support. The property is beautiful and the area is worth a trip. Please pray for them.

Wonderful place…so peaceful, beautiful backyard hot tub fire pit and very pleasant cozy interior. Stocked with coffee pods, soap, cooking oil and spices. Clean and lovely. Will def stay again!

A nice little cottage very retro. Unfortunately , it's a little difficult to find because of the flood damage and bridge out. Rick provides good instructions.There is a pretty waterfall hike nearby.

The location was awesome, the only downside was not Kurt's fault at all, but my friends and I brought a Ford Transit to get to the house and that was unwise. Now this ended up turning into an awesome adventure each day walking down and up the mile and a half gravel hill, but I understand some people would rather not do this on vacation. Lol The description says you need a 4-wheel drive vehicle for a reason!!
