Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Missouri River

Unbeatable location for peace and stunning scenary. Perfect for a weekend away to just relax. Home was clean and comfortable. We especially loved sitting on the deck and watching the bald eagle family fly above us. Only note is that the trains can be loud so if youre a very light sleeper bring ear plugs. James was very kind when we got lost trying to find the house! Google took us to the wrong street.

Wow! This has been by far the most beautiful and enriching family vacation we have experienced. The Living Room had breath taking views of the mountains, surrounding farms and wildlife that could be seen from inside the home and from the lovely patio. Whether waking with a Nespresso coffee or tea in hand on the patio, eating meals or playing cards at the dinner table or enjoying a glass of wine in the hot tub the experience was amazing. The word WOW is the best way for us to describe our stay. Mark and Renee were wonderful and attentive hosts. They are very organized and had books that helped us find fun things to do. The home was very clean and spacious. We were able to cook many meals at the Airbnb and had many options for dinning out if desired. We are so grateful to have the luxury of enjoying such a wonderful experience and plan to come visit again in the coming years.

One of my favorite Airbnb's of all time. This house was well thought-out and very comfortable, with gorgeous views of the surrounding farmland and nearby mesas. The hosts are sincerely interested in providing a comfortable and happy experience. The kitchen is highly functional, the living room is cozy and has nice big windows to the surrounding scenery, and the house makes for a very peaceful night of sleep. I enjoyed the variety of songbirds that were visiting the backyard. Lots to do here including horseshoes, horse and burro petting, hammock relaxation, sauna therapy, and meditating in this serene, happy place. Highly recommended.

My family was in the area for our nieces wedding and was looking for a property that could accommodate 16 adults. The Rock Canyon farmhouse and cottage was just perfect. Plenty of space and the kitchen had all we needed to prepare and cook meals for our group. The outdoor spaces were wonderful as well as having plenty of space indoors when the humidity and heat got cranked up. Would recommend this property to anyone that is looking in the area.

We only stayed for one night during our cross country road trip. Loved the property and took several walks around the wildflower meadow with our dogs and one of the farm cats. So peaceful and beautiful! House was well stocked with everything we need and more. Bonus was the friendly farm cats ❤️.

My friends and I had a fabulous time and stay there, we love the atmosphere and the view to the backyard is absolutely incredible. If you have any questions, JOHN answers very quickly. His accommodation was excellent!

Loved our 3 day stay at Nat’s place. Beautiful design, peaceful setting, comfortable bedding, well appointed kitchen and lots of added touches. It felt like we were at a resort with no other people. Loved waking up to the mountain view and having coffee around the fire pit. Definitely off the beaten path, but close enough to town if you want or need to drive in. We found we didn’t want to leave except for a few hikes close by. We did not need a 4x4 but it may have been nice to have… it is a windy dirt road up the mountain. We would love to return.

Our stay at Loon Lake was wonderful! Janie was fantastic to deal with - very friendly and welcoming. Communication was great from the moment we booked. She shared helpful tips for us to prepare for our visit and made check-in a breeze. The property is beautiful and convenient to Hayward. The beds were very comfortable and the sound of the train only added to the charm. We would absolutely stay at Loon Lake again and plan to do so in the future. Beautiful space. We needed a spot rolling through and this accommodated nicely. Comfy bed, lovely surroundings. Stephen was very responsive which is always appreciated too. Highly recommend.

Savannah was a great host. She made sure everything was to our expectations and asked if we needed anything. Great response time if we had any questions or trouble with anything. Definitely recommend her place! 10/10!

Lisa's home is beautiful! Spectacular views! We met friends for an overnight stay. Lisa's place had everything we needed, we spent 90 percent of our time outdoors enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return for our annual get together. Thank you Lisa for an incredible experience!

Megan is an exceptional host. The place is exactly as described. Perfectly clear instructions for entry and departure. We were very impressed with all the details within the apartment. The bed was super comfy….& I will admit I am a bed snob! My husband and I enjoyed it very much. We loved walking around the area and to the Capital. I will book again in a few weeks when I return to visit my son who lives nearby.

This was such a nice place. Very pretty. The snacks and breakfast items were a perfect extra touch!

Loved how secluded the house was. Was nice to get away from the hustle of everyday living and relax. The place had everything we needed and was cozy. The house is very secluded but the farthest park I wanted to go to was only 15min and the others were a shorter drive. I would recommend to anyone going to decorah to enjoy nature or just relax!

We had a delightful stay. We were back and forth to Grinnell for graduation festivities and didn’t have as much time to enjoy the property and grounds as I would have liked. But the cabin is clean and very comfortable in a beautiful woodsy setting. And the hosts made everything easy.

This was our second time staying at Anthony's place and we've loved it both times. The newly added deck out back was great and provided awesome views of the river.

Full cabin experience in a very secluded location. He has an amazing sound system with various vinyls and cds. We saw a bear from the window as well!

We loved our stay at this cabin! Surprised my fiancé for a birthday weekend and we were so impressed by how intentional Marlena is with her space! We felt super comfy and our dog seemed completely at ease as well. We’d definitely stay again and greatly appreciate how welcoming and communicative Marlena was the entire time. Highly recommend :)

If you want to feel the serenity of outside inside, stay here! The views are gorgeous all the way around the home. You feel remote yet accessible to some charming small towns in the area. It’s such a win win! The home itself was beautiful and unique. I don’t know how we will top this place in the future.

Had a great relaxing weekend at the cabin. Came for Father’s Day weekend for my bf and he was beyond happy to be spending Father’s Day enjoying the weather and just hanging out at the cabin. Thank you Adam for the extra treats and allowing us to enjoy your place!

If you are thinking about renting this cabin go for it! It is beautiful and private. The perfect weekend getaway. The pictures are nice but they can’t do this amazing place justice. 5 out of 5
