Joy Cottage was a wonderful space that accommodated a large group well! The cottage was beautiful with stunning lake views. Despite the rainy weekend we had there were tons of activities to keep us entertained. Would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone. If you stay at Joy Cottage check out the fresh honey sold by the neighbour, it’s delicious!

Arushi was a great host during our stay, responded in a timely manner to questions. The home was beautifully decorated and clean. We look forward to returning!

We had a fantastic stay! The home was clean, quiet, and nestled in a beautiful, peaceful community — the view from the balcony is perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. There are walking trails just steps from the front door, and it’s a great jumping-off point for exploring Horseshoe Valley or spending the day at Vettä Spa. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub since we opted for the spa, but having access to those amenities is a great bonus for anyone staying longer. The hosts were friendly and responsive, and the space had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful escape with nature close by.

We had an amazing stay, the place was clean and comfortable. I had requested a pack n play for my 5 month old to sleep in and Kat had purchased one for our stay, which I really appreciated and it made our stay much more comfortable. The beds were comfortable, the backyard was beautiful, and Kat replied very quickly to any questions we had. I visit the area yearly and will most definitely be back!

Stayed here for the long weekend to do a few activities in the area and have to say that the space was amazing. Would 100% recommend anyone coming to barrie to come stay here!

We were so happy to stay at this cottage! The house was cozy and welcoming, and both our child and our dog had an amazing time. It was the perfect place for a fun and relaxing family getaway. We would love to come back again!

We loved our stay at Mark and Betty's chalet. The place was quiet and clean. There was plenty of space for our two families, a beautiful deck space for enjoying a morning coffee, an indoor pool for the kids to use at the nearby resort (at a reasonable cost and only a 5 minute walk from the chalet) and plenty of hiking trails nearby. The hosts were responsive and offered helpful suggestions for things to do in the area. We especially enjoyed Mark and Betty's art collection, the many klompen (for the Dutch in us!) and the giant pileated woodpecker that would visit the birdfeed in the morning.

Beautiful cottage with a spectacular view of the lake! Very quiet and peaceful for rest and relaxation. The fireplace made the cottage even more cozy on some very cold winter days during our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the entire cottage was well set up for a relaxing atmosphere. Everything was easy to find and anything you could possibly need was there. We loved that amenities like grocery stores and restaurants were close by and easily accessible.

It was a great location, especially if youre going up to arrowhead. The property was good for anyone with kids and pets. Even though it was winter, would definitely come back in the summer

We had a fantastic stay at Amy's beautiful home among the trees! So easy to get to Sir Sam's, which made long days on the hill super easy. Excellent communication from Amy.

Beautiful, cozy & warm stay! A little slice of paradise. Nothing better than a beautiful ski hill right out the back door! Marta was very quick at communicating with us. Our accommodation was clean, spacious, and very reasonably priced. Soaking in the hot tub was a great way to wind down after a day of skiing. Marta also prepared a delicious breakfast to send us on our way in the morning! We will definitely stay here again in the future!

We stayed here with a big group of friends and we absolutely had a blast! The pool was a lot of fun, house was well-stocked with kitchen and living room things, extra pool towels, had a bunch of the streaming services set up on TV with a guest account, and even board games. You can tell someone did/does actually live here when it's not an airbnb. My one complaint was that although they were extremely responsive, respectful and helpful while we were at the house, it took a LOT to get answers (there would be multiple days without replying to questons, and having to constantly send reminder texts to answer simple questions) at the very start in preparation for the trip. It made me very apprehensive about the trip, BUT ultimately the place ended up exceeding our expectations and we have all agreed we'd want to return next year!

A lovely little cottage in an amazing area. The cottage was very clean and up-to-date! We had everything we needed and more: wood and kindling for the fire place, extra blankets for cold nights, and coffee for an early morning. Communication wasn’t directly through the host but an automatic system, which was absolutely fine as it provided all necessary information! We’ll come back again!!

Renting with nomadics vacations rentals was easy and painless place was great super clean and cozy and inviting after a long days work. It was a little bit more space than was needed for us but, once again it was immaculate very private and a great place to wind down after a days work. Thank you to Nomadics team!

Amazing location and the cottage was perfect for our extended family reunion! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms were better than any other cottage situation .. gave everyone privacy and made the getting ready process very fast! The beautiful surroundings were so peaceful and enjoyable...we loved hanging out on the dock, used the firepit, the canoe and pedal boat. The town of Huntsville was had so many great restaurants and art murals ... can't wait to come back someday! Thank you Dee, you're the best!

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful escape from the city, and this place was exactly what we needed. Even with the constant rain, we had such a relaxing and memorable stay. Helen and her husband were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and genuinely funny—it really made the experience even better. The property is absolutely beautiful, with scenic trails and the calming sound of birds everywhere (such a refreshing change from the usual city noise). The cabin was cozy and thoughtfully set up, and the outdoor bathroom and shower were no problem at all—especially for us, since we’re comfortable with camping. One of the highlights was the animals—the horses and dogs were so friendly and affectionate. It was such a treat for us as animal lovers, and really added to the charm of the stay. We’d definitely come back!

Only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer. Best Grad trip we could have asked for. Hats off to Kat 👍

Our family had a great stay at the lodge. The kids ran around the back yard trying to catch frogs and we made the short drive down to the beach every morning. Brett was extremely helpful in responding to a question about the BBQ, and the place was exactly what we wanted. Thrilled about our time there and we'll book again!

It was a pleasure staying here. The host was very responsive and helpful; everything matched the property description and was clean. We are having a really good time here celebrating the New Year. I recommend this cozy house to everyone looking for a quiet place with a good cost-to-quality ratio.
