The owner was fantastic and very responsive, even took us to the local grocery store. The house is on the side of the hill in an incredibly quiet and serene location with complete privacy. The outdoor hot bath was incredible, too, and a great way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone staying in Atami.

Fantastic host, fantastic stay in a beautiful home.

This was our favorite place we stayed during our 12 day trip through Japan. The house is lovely. We fell in love with the space immediately. It’s a beautiful balance of old and new. The host was proactive in his communication. The Food Mart is very close - a 5 minute walk. I was worried about where we would grab snacks and water, but the proximity of the food mart was perfect. There are also several close restaurants and downtown Hakone is an easy downhill walk from the house. Burger Box is very close (not all the way downtown), and the food was great.

ビーチがすぐそこで、ダイニングに座っていても海が見えて、星が綺麗で、ロケーション、最高でした！3世代の家族旅行でしたが、また来たいです。 電子レンジがないので、小さいお子様などいらっしゃる場合は持ち物に工夫が必要だと思いました。

とても快適に過ごせました！ 施設清潔で、家族でゆっくりとくつろぐことができました。 何よりも感動したのは、ホストの対応の速さです。 ちょっとしたトラブルがあった際にも、すぐにご連絡・ご対応いただき、とても安心して滞在できました。 丁寧かつ親切な対応に感謝しております。 また機会があれば、ぜひ利用させていただきたいです。 ありがとうございました！

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. We highly recommend Abhi's place. good wifi good AC big TV well equipped kitchen washing machine

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

we had a fantastic stay and abhi and his wife were wonderful hosts. my family enjoyed the spacious home which is in the middle of the nature but close to the beach and close to nice cafes. we already want to go back ! thank you so much for the memories.

This was such a wonderful place to stay. The location is so beautiful and peaceful. Kazu is a great host and really helpful. I want to come back soon!!!

Yuji was really responsive and easy to communicate during our stay. It was an old house but I think the owner already tried his best to maintain and clean it (it’s just too old and had some stain and rust on places). There were trees and bushes surrounded the house - beautiful but yes a lot of bugs, and luckily not much got inside. There was not much to do nearby but would be good stopby to rest for a night. Considering the price it’s totally worth it. I’ll still give it 5 stars in overall.

美しい海に、美しい森林に囲まれて非日常の体験ができました！！海は歩いて10分程度なのでいつでも行けるし、夕方(16時過ぎ)でも遊べて最高です！夏限定でお店もぽろぽろあるし、コンビニもあるので飲み食いには困らないと思います^ ^オーナー様も優しく気がきく方です。かなりtalkativeな方ですけど笑 　BBQもできますが、オーナー様より火おこししやすいように焚き木も配置してくれたので感謝しております！！ 　他の方もおっしゃっているように少なからず虫は多いです。山の中だから仕方ないことですが。家の中でゴキブリやタカアシグモに出くわすのは当たり前だと思うべきかもしれません。それすらも楽しめる方なら何も問題なくむしろお得です。 　非常に素晴らしい立地で最高な体験ができたと思っているのでオススメしたいです。

両親の米寿のお祝いに家族皆で宿泊させていただきました。リビング、キッチンがオープンスペースになっているため、皆でのコミュニケーションが取りやすく、とても楽しい旅になりました。必要なものは全てそろっており、調理も不自由なくできました。ホテルのような完璧な掃除ではありませんが、知り合いの家に泊まるような温かみのある印象でした。また大人数での旅がありましたら、利用させていただきたいです。

何度もリピートしていて、お気に入りの宿です。今回は宿に忘れ物をしたのですが、快く対応して頂き大変助かりました。

Mysigt o avkopplande boende, mitt i härlig natur. Suverän terrass där man kan relaxa, äta o umgås. Trevlig o välkomnande värd. Japansk stil, mycket fina träarbete i huset, återanvändt material. Kort promenerad till härlig stor strand o skönt hav. Bra ställe för surfare. Många matställen i omgivningen. Helt enkelt ett toppenställe!😊

Stayed only one night, but it was lovely. The cabin itself is tiny, but qiet comfortable, especially wanna point futons - i usually have troubles cuz it is way too hard for me, these were ok) Another good thing - private bbq place right at the entrance to cabin. Beach is literally in 2 mins, bus stop in 3) The town looks a bit dead....may be it was not a season yet. Nearest 7/11 in 25 mins walk. The host is very friendly and speaks english vell, so communication was easy.

We had a wonderful stay at Mitsuko’s house, and the view on the sea was amazing! The house is comfortable to stay for longer periods, with more than enough cooking utensils, cutlery and plates and cups for cooking. Definitely visit the local hotspring, and Manyo park in Yugawara for a relaxed day out. There are also some local busses for commuting to the nearest supermarkets.

Absolutely amazing place to get away. Very quiet, amazing views and the house had all the amenities you could need. Will definitely be back next year.

大人6人、子ども3人で1泊。夕方のBBQで使う野菜を収穫させてもらいに畑へ行きました。子どもたちはオクラをカゴに入れたり、トトロが持っているような葉っぱの傘をもらったりして楽しみました！近くには水が流れていて、トンボを観察したりもしました。生き物探しや水遊びも楽しめそうでした。 何より、ここの有機栽培のお米が美味しい✨大人も子どもも、お米をもりもり食べました！！子どもがもう少し大きくなったら、ぜひ秋の収穫時期や田植えの時期に来たいと思いました。 夜は、街灯が少ないのでとても暗くて、星や花火がとてもキレイでした⭐️エアコンがなくサーキュレーターのみなので最初は辛く感じましたが（8月中旬）たくさん汗をかいて、風の気持ちよさや冷たい水の心地よさ、ビールの美味しさを感じ、これも田舎体験の醍醐味なのかもしれない、と思いました。 おじちゃんがとてもいい人で、声をかけるといろいろ教えてくれ、お米や野菜を持ってきてくれたり、子どもたちを孫のように可愛がってくれたり、ほどよい距離で見守っていてくれました！

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Minetaka’s place. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The communication with Minetaka was smooth and prompt, making the booking process hassle-free. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and given a thorough tour of the property. The space was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with the close by beach. We enjoyed exploring the area. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We cannot recommend Minetaka and their property highly enough. Thank you for such a memorable stay—we will definitely be back!
