I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

*We only accept ONE group each day and the price is for the entire property rent. The house is located at a quiet place near the famous tourist spot "Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine", with easy access from Kyoto Station(15 mins), Osaka and Nara is abt 50 mins without transit. The house equipped with Natural Stone Open-air Bath , Table & Sofa, Full Kitchen, Queen Size Bed, Tatami, Floor heating, Drum type washer. Free Netflix & Youtube available. A well designed Machiya for a luxury experience.

Reikaku Yasaka | Gion | Historical Machiya

Reikaku Yasaka was a building in ruins with the floor tilted by at least 30cm when we discovered this hidden jewel. The restoration was particularly difficult due to the state it was in but our craftsman’s determination to bring this Machiya back to its formal glory paid off for Reikaku Yasaka. Maximum capacity 10 people. After 4 people the additional fee 6000yen/person/night will be charged. Partying and noise are strictly prohibited. This 100-year-old traditional house called "Machiya" stands in a quiet residential area, a little ways from the center of the city. The renovation work was carried out under the supervision of a "Machiya" expert, while preserving the culturally valuable foundations.

Opened in the spring of 2022. Private lodging for one group per day. Close to Kyoto Station. you can get to almost anywhere in the city without changing trains or buses. You can also use 2 bicycles for free. There are many hotels, hot spa and restaurants nearby for dining. Try to visit Kyoto Aquarium and Kyoto Railway Museum in Umekoji Park if you have spare time.
