Charming, open-plan, Derbyshire barn - 2bed 2bath

HinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had the most wonderful stay at this beautifully decorated barn house in Melbourne. As a family of four, it was perfect—spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and so peaceful. We all slept soundly in the cosy beds and felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Eve had left some lovely surprises for us, and our children were delighted to relax in the garden with biscuits and squash after the journey. My husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine out there too—it was the perfect start to our stay. There was plenty to keep everyone happy, from books and DVDs to a great TV setup, and we made full use of the spacious kitchen for family meals. The location is brilliant too—within walking distance of several pubs and cafes. We had a lovely dinner at Harpurs and enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Birds Bakery. The property felt very private and secure, and Eve was a fantastic host—warm, helpful, and responsive. Thank you, Eve, for a perfect stay—we’ll definitely be back soon!

Riverside Bridge Barn - Swarkestone, Derby

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our couple of days at Bill and Sally’s. We received a warm welcome from Bill, and appreciated the milk and biscuits. The barn was perfect for exploring the nearby area. Melbourne was especially beautiful. The pub is literally across the road, with friendly staff. Would recommend.

We had the most magical weekend getaway staying in this charming hobbit house! It was the perfect escape, peaceful, private, cosy, and full of character. Everything was spotless, and even the towels smelled incredibly fresh (a small detail with big impact!). The beds were super comfy, and we loved waking up to the stunning surrounding landscape. Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. Helpful, friendly, and gave us space to just relax and enjoy. A lovely local pub is within walking distance, and best of all, the place was dog-friendly. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a unique and restful stay.

Autograph 2 Bed

JenniferRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The lodge was amazing. Very roomy with everything in you could possibly want. We loved the special touches on arrival Prosseco, small butter & jam to go with the fresh thick cut loaf. Tea, coffee & sugar in the canisters. Towels, robes and slippers for the jacuzzi. Plenty of toilet rolls. It all felt and looked lush. We had walkes at the reservoir and if you want fantastic food go to The Black bull in Repton or The Swan in Milton (all 5 mins drive away) it's awesome. The lodge is 5 mins drive from garden center if you want a full cooked breakfast or dinner and plants. We didn't get the chance to use the swimming pool on site, but we will be back as this place is a gem. Negatives are so trivea but will mention the toilet seats when sat on kept moving, but even this we all just laughed at as the whole place was so tranquil, chilling, but with 4 ladies in their 60's enjoying the luxury lodge and amenities what more do you need. Thank you, thank you Hoseasens x

Idyllic Cottage Village Centre overlooking canal

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Me & my friend visited this cottage in June. We had a lovely break, enjoyed the location looking out to the canal, the pub next door was incredible. Cottage was very clean, with well equipped kitchen. Lots of information at the cottage about the area, beds were very comfortable, I stayed in the small single & I overlooked the canal, the bedding was fresh & crisp, the lovely sea kelp products were divine, what a treat! I loved the lampshade soo much. We had tea, coffee & fresh milk waiting for us, along with a snack basket, we took these out on our walks which kept us going. The cottage had great parking availability Magical cottage & location
