House holiday rentals in Midlothian

We had a fantastic weekend staying here to celebrate my best friend. The house is gorgeous with so much space! The photos do not do it justice! There was a lovely pool and hot tub. Sarah came by to make sure we’d settled in and was available if we needed anything. We’d even got a later check out which was a great bonus. Everyone had a great time! I will definitely recommend booking The Granary! I would love to come back for another trip. Sarah had also left us a bottle of Prosecco to welcome us which was a lovely touch we appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Scots place was beautiful. Lots to do inside and outside. Kids had lot of fun as there were toys scooter and bike. There was colouring books and pens card games kids did not get enough time as we only booked for one night. Scott was kind and he extended our check out. Kids made the most out of it. Not far away from Edinburgh castle which was our holiday plans to explore Edinburgh city. Clean kitchen and toilet and shower. We had everything we needed in the caravan. Thanks Scott for making the one night stay comfortable. You are a star

A brilliant place to stay as a small family. It’s not slap bang in Edinburgh but all the better for it: blissfully quiet (you really cannot hear the airport), a genuinely beautiful garden to relax in, but just 5 minutes drive from the free park and ride, which is 20 minutes into central Edinburgh. And made all the better by hosting from Robert, who was super friendly, a genuine pleasure to chat to, but without being at all intrusive. Would firmly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Old Rectory. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful, quiet and cosy manor tucked away in the heart of West Linton. Dave, our host, was so polite and prompt. Though we didn’t meet, there was good communication which was very helpful. The home itself was perfect for our family with 7 adults. My parents and aunt found the space so special and welcoming. Our anniversary celebrations and my dad’s birthday were made special in this home.

Just what we needed. We had a busy few days planned in the area, and needed a base outside Edinburgh with parking. Jennifer's cottage was spacious, clean and warm. Nice touches including board games provided, some breakfast cereal and milk.

We arrived a few hours earlier than expected and was allowed early access to the property which was great. Easy access to the property and lots of parking available in the shared car park. Keira is a lovely host, very accommodating and responds very quickly. She has a beautiful home and was the perfect place for us xx

Thank you for hosting us! We loved the house so much! The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was convenient and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The host was friendly, responsive, and gave great local recommendations. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Convenient place to discover Idenburgh, easy parking and direct bus. Only 1 toilet in the bathroom. 1 convenience store in town, no restaurant in town apart from a Chinese take away "Joe"

We cannot recommend Thomas’s property enough. It is exactly as it looks and more. Spotlessly clean, has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, including the coffee machine and chocolate tea cake biscuits! It was peacefully quiet, lovely and warm, (we had rain and wind), was nice to have a very tidy backyard with seating. Lovely comfortable lounge and velvet dining chairs, comfy beds, definitely everyone’s favourite was the huge tv to chill out and watch movies after long days travelling and sight seeing. Thomas was super helpful with every question we asked about local information and excellent at responding quickly too. My son left his suit behind and Thomas is now arranging for its return to us as we have already made it to our next destination. Nothing a bother at all. After seeing how busy Edinburgh is with tourists we were thankful to drive just out of the centre city to have a relaxing stay at Thomas’. One of the best places we’ve stayed at. 100% would stay here again!

Whilst there were a few problems with check in the hosts were extremely responsive and incredibly helpful. The location was conveniently close to Edinburgh and the house was spacious and well equipped. Overall a very enjoyable stay

We really enjoyed our stay. A very lovely family home in a quiet neighborhood with short walks to the shops and the bus stops. It was easy to feel very at home here. We would 100% stay here again.

Ruth house is great. Lovely garden and spacious rooms. We spent a week there, we are a couple with a 3yo girl and we recommend this house for families. It is clean with many useful things in the house because it is a "real home". Quite a few of buses around just walking 5 minutes. Thanks!

Great place for our team. Working night shift so it was ideal, nice and quiet. Clare was great, very quick to respond to any questions I had.

Crookston House is by far the best place we have stayed in the UK. Georgina and Malcolm were the perfect hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The house and grounds were stunning. We felt we were being invited in, not only into someone's home but, to share and experience a piece of history. The whole place is beautiful, fascinating and so relaxing. We had the Yew Tree bedroom which was fantastic. We also had access to the downstairs rooms and after a day of hiking and sightseeing was a lovely way to relax with a glass of wine surrounded by family portraits and so much history.
