Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Midlothian

David's and Melanie's place was really good. We stayed there for 2 night and we really enjoyed it. The place is 25 mins away from Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport too. I'd definitely recommend staying here on your trip to Edinburgh.

This is literally a home from home. We got an Uber from the rail station to the property, and then another to the airport the following day. We didn't use the kitchen as we took a walk to the local Parilla restaurant and had the best burgers we have had in our entire lives! This was a recommendation in the welcome pack. Everything was a next level of clean, and easy to use. If I fly from Edinburgh again, I would definitely book this over a hotel anyday.

Outstanding property. Well appointed, comfortable and high quality. Great responsiveness and communication from Heather who was a lovely host. Excellent vistas and views. Enjoyed several beautiful sunsets from the outdoor area of the property. Peaceful and quiet but great location to travel to the Borders or into Edinburgh. Superb property - highly recommended. Great location and place to stay. We very much enjoyed the hot tub and visited Edinburgh on the park and ride at Newcraigshall. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh as a family.

Our booking was a very last minute family emergency situation. I was dealing with Charlotte who was absolutely brilliant. The house was made ready at only a few hours notice. The house provided everything we could possibly have needed, especially peace and comfort during a very stressful time. Communication throughout was outstanding with genuine care for our situation. Amazing porters lodge, beautiful attention to detail, very comfortable. Hot tub was an absolute treat. All the facilities to cook during your stay. Perfect place to escape for a relaxing weekend with some lovely walks on the doorstep. Will absolutely be back one day!

Nos gusto mucho el lugar, muy lindo igual que en las fotos! Los anfitriones dispuestos a ayudarnos, lo único dificultoso fue adivinar el lugar, ya que no era una casa como parece en la foto si no un lugar en el patio de está acondicionado para quedarse, por lo que teniamos que entrar por un portón trasero

What a wonderful find! Our stay couldn’t have been more straightforward and comfortable and being on the estate was idyllic. Do explore the grounds or you’ll miss out - I think our young girls discovered their enchanted woods! Thank you, Gwen.

Schöne Wohnung mit Allem, was man für einen guten Aufenthalt braucht. Nicht mehr ganz zentral, aber dafür ruhig gelegen (und trotzdem noch fußläufig zur Innenstadt). Nikki - die Co-Host - hat uns nett empfangen und in alles eingewiesen. Dazu war die Kommunikation sehr nett und man hat immer schnell Rückmeldung bekommen.

A great place with lots of character! Property was a little cold but the heaters helped to warm the rooms. Huge well equipped kitchen Plenty of hot water The area was lovely and peaceful and not to far from Edinburgh town

The cottage is very clean and tidy with a lovely garden and very spacious. The parking is outside the property next to the road We just had to be careful with getting our dogs in and out the car But grateful there is parking with the accommodation. kitchen facilities are very limited. No coffee machine No welcome pack just UHT milk packet coffee It would of been nice to have a few welcome treats . Communication very good I would recommend this lovely Cottage

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, Valerie war sehr freundlich zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Man hat sich direkt wohl und wie zuhause gefühlt, ich komme definitiv wieder und würde diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen. Es war alles tadellos sauber und wir hatten alles was wir brauchen.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.

We had a wonderful stay at Suzanna’s peaceful Airbnb in Edinburgh. The location was quiet and ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The home was exceptionally clean and well-kept, and Suzanna was an outstanding host—very responsive and easy to communicate with. I truly appreciated her hospitality and attention to detail. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Edinburgh and would love to stay here again!

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.
