My partner and I stayed at Eugene’s cabin for a weekend getaway from DC, and it was exactly what we needed. The cabin is peaceful, private, and perfectly set up for a couple’s retreat. We loved the cozy atmosphere, the well-equipped kitchen and the fun selection of board games for the evenings. The jacuzzi and fireplace were highlights that made our stay even more fun! The location is fantastic, just a short drive to Shenandoah National Park, local vineyards, and the Luray Caverns. Eugene was a wonderful host! responsive, friendly, and made everything super easy from check-in to check-out. We really appreciated how available he was for any questions.

Amazing cabin with a beautiful view. The hot tub looking over the valley was unbelievable. The cabin had everything that we needed for the long weekend. Would stay here again.

nice private cabin in the woods. very small but accurately described and it had a wonderful porch that wrapped around the house. kitchen and bathroom had everything needed. would definitely recommend

The Herb Cottage is beautifully situated on the Hidden Creek Farm. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the animals move through the fields. I reserved the cabin because it was conveniently located near a dinner we were attending, abut we will return for the peaceful beauty of the farm. We slept soundly in the comfortable bed and woke to the sound of birds softly singing. If it rains while you are there, do not miss the opportunity to rock in the porch chairs and relax to the tune of raindrops drops on the metal roof.

We absolutely loved staying at this cozy cabin. It looked just like the pictures and even had a little welcome card when we arrived on the island. It had every appliance we needed and then some. The location although 20 mins from town was perfect and peaceful. Very private and relaxing. Perfect for a weekend getaway. The host was responsive and very helpful with any questions we needed. It was a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

This is our second property stay from this host group. We have enjoyed both mountain top locations and truly felt like we could disconnect, relax, and have a few small adventures with our pup. Truly Amazing Views!!!! Clean neutral colors and updated amenities. Easy to find things to cook with. **Also- Shout out to The Italian Job Pizza spot. We had crazy rain which delayed our getting to the house from DC, so we shifted from cooking to ordering in and they delivered!!!!!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin! The moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and picturesque the area was. The cabin itself is cozy, charming, and surrounded by nature, it truly feels like a private retreat. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and just take in the quiet beauty around you. River House – 5 Stars My husband and I stayed in the River House for 4 days. We totally enjoyed ourselves there. It was exactly what we were looking for, peace and quiet while gazing upon nature at its best. The house is very clean, neat and crisp with a touch of warmth everywhere. It has everything you could want for your stay, making it home-sweet-home. The house is nestled between trees and situated right on the bank of the Shenandoah’s running river. Enjoy the lush green forest across the river while drinking your morning coffee in the sunroom. You’ll see that this serene setting brings a daily refuge of birds nesting and hummingbirds feeding to the top deck. The sunroom is so cozy and inviting. It seems as if the house is on stilts sitting over the running river. The River House has two large decks, a patio and boats for your family’s enjoyment. THIS is a great house and property!! It’s a beautiful modern feeling cabin. And this place is super clean!!!! I can’t stress this enough. The bedrooms are so comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We used the laundry area and all. Living room is very comfy with great seating. Outside on the back is a patio sofa, fun lighting and a swing. The front entry is very easy to get into. Great gravel driveway and just a few steps to the door. There is a great fire pit with a huge swing. It is private. It felt very safe. And the pool table room was so fun! We spent lots of time there. Plenty of towels, blankets, throws, etc. We highly recommend this property and would love to come back.

This house was the ultimate retreat! If you want a peaceful, secluded place to relax and recharge, this is the rental for you! Amazing views especially at sunrise and sunset. Wildlife abounds. Literally no urban noise at all, just quiet solitude. Don’t let the drive up to the property intimidate you, easily accessible as described with 2WD in the summer. Matt was an awesome host, very responsive! The house itself was spotless and included many welcoming touches. Pictures are completely accurate. Many nice extras included if you are bringing your small kids, including toys, pack and play and high chair. Convenient 15-20 min drive to Shenandoah National Park. We would definitely return to this property!

If you want a place with things in walking distance, this isn't for you. But you can't beat the view from the deck every morning. Place was rustic (which i like in a cabin!) but tastefully done - nice blend of the historic with newer touches. Beds comfy. Had everything you need. Corey sent good instructions on how to find it. Recommend.

Reagan's place was so charming and perfect for our getaway! Everything was exactly as described. I appreciated the secluded and cozy nature of the cabin, but also the proximity to restaurants, stores and hiking trails. I highly recommend this cabin, and hope to return on a future getaway.

We enjoyed our visit to WV. Su’s cabin was the perfect location and allowed us to witness some beautiful sunsets, nightly. The cabin was all Su’s described, quite comfortable for 2 people. Su provided recommendations for restaurants and activities. We went to two of the restaurants, both were delicious. If we’re back in the area, we’d stay at Su’s again.

This place was absolutely beautiful. The cabin was perfect for our stay. We brought our 2 dogs and the cabin and surrounding area provided much ample space for our 2 labradoodles. We went to the national park which was about a 25 minute drive. The cabin was comfortable and had absolutely everything we needed. The cabin is on a property with another house so if you want absolute seclusion that is something to think about. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in the area!

Had a peaceful, relaxing weekend with the family at the cabin! Everyone loved the hot tub and the kids settled right in with the projector / game room. Leah was super responsive and helpful with our questions.

Lou's place is great! We were 5 people, 3 adults and 2 kids. The house had plenty of space for us to enjoy ourselves. The kids loved the game room and roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. The community was also lovely with two outdoor pools and an indoor pool. we really appreciated the guest passes that allowed us to enjoy the pools for both days we were there. Many thanks, Lou!

Loved staying at the Bunkhouse! Really nice and quiet. Perfect getaway for when you want to get out if the city. Lots of cool things to do close by. Maureen was super friendly and fast in all her communications. Would definitely love to come back!

What a beautiful and peaceful place to visit the past and full of history too!! The cabin exceeded our expectations!!! We will definitely make this a place we plan on visiting over and over!!! They even have a beautiful bank barn to host weddings!!! We needed more time to explore the beauty this place offers!! A weekend just isn’t enough time!! Our heads were on swivel the entire stay!! And somehow we ended up just driving around and looking for all the historic gems in the area!! Southern charm galore!! Thank u for being on Airbnb!! We sooooo fell in love with this little gem!!!
