There may not be any other place in California that combines serenity, quiet, isolation and comfort like this place, not to mention lake access. Heather puts in a huge amount of effort to maintain the cabins and the area as a whole. I came here in order to recover from some health issues and could not have asked for a better place. Pure healing and pure relaxation. The style / ambience of the cabins is lovingly curated to the last detail.

Oh my gosh, how to say how much we loved this cottage! What a dream. It's the homey, delightful place that's full of charming items and decor that are authentic, not kitsch. And it comes with Brutus the tiny pooch, who makes his nightly rounds making sure all meets with his approval! The setting is breathtaking, with a forest right outside the door, massive trees, fallen logs, a pretty field beyond. Kay is right across the yard; if you need anything she's right there. If not, she leaves you be to have your own space and time. This is close to everything but it really is a separate world. We had just a few precious days, and chose to spend almost all of them just enjoying books and naps. Just fabulous. Grab it if you can - I can see why the opportunity is rare!

Kona Cabin was the perfect place for our Pack (two humans, one doggo) to getaway on the coast. Conveniently located for easy drives to our adventures but also tucked away so we could enjoy quiet, serene solitude when it was time to rest after full days of frolicking at the beaches and walking the coastal trails. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and of good quality. There were also some lovely extra touches - the coffee selection was delightful and they left us a yummy welcome gift. The living room was spacious and even though we're not usually TV watchers, it was nice that the cabin is equipped with cable so we could catch an exciting Game 5 of the Stanley Cup playoffs! Bathroom was also well equipped as far as standards like shampoo, conditioner, soap from a local maker (another lovely touch!). Shower pressure was great and water (in all scenarios) got nice and warm/hot quickly. The bed was big and comfy. We hope to come back!

Such a beautiful stay. A sweet cat greeted us upon arrival and we loved the warm cabin. Waking up on the property with a swing and fresh coffee was truly magical!!!

The property is beautiful. My two kids (2 and 4) loved wandering the grounds, saying hi to the goats, chickens, and dogs. The guesthouse is very well kept and kitchen had everything we needed. My husband and I agreed it's one of the nicer Airbnbs we have stayed at. We will definitely be back!

This was my second time staying at the Tiny House - the first time being eight years ago. Not much has changed, and that's a good thing. A lovely little space for one or two people, as long as you are comfortable with the detached bathroom. Very close to Mendo by car.

Cool place. Haven’t been to Fort Bragg in like 12 or more years. The coast is just beautiful, weather is what to expect for northern coast of CA. I like that this cabin was themed, makes the guest experience a little more special not being just another sterile Airbnb. Really liked being down in the harbor and everything is so easy to access in town.

The cabin was wonderful, very cute and cozy in a beautiful location. Just a couple minutes from where you park the car, but feels like you’re fully in nature, in a forest, far from civilization. Really adorable cozy place and Rosey was always very responsive, very friendly and very accommodating! Will definitely be booking this place again for another weekend getaway!

We had a great time staying at this listing in Gualala! Off Hwy 1, yet close to shops and a few restaurants in this quaint town. Walking around the trees and being able to walk to the coast was perfect for out 2 day getaway! The cabin was cozy and comfortable, kitchen was stacked with everything we needed to cook during our stay. Would love to visit again sometime!

Barking Rocks Cottage is a lovely home, in peaceful surroundings with a wonderful ocean view. Kelly is an amazing hostess, proactively communicating and sharing very helpful local information with us ahead of the trip. Her thoughtfulness is evident in every corner of the very well-equipped cottage, including the generous welcome treats. Every detail is geared towards making your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Nika's place, the Artist Studio was well equipped, clean and warm as outside temps dipped into the lower 30's. Great outside shower accessible from the inside bathroom, so it didn't fell like going outside at all. We had a great time. We were three which worked out well.

This place was absolutely a gem. Brenda made us feel welcomed immediately when we got there. She then led us to the fishing cabin which had amazing views. Overall this was such an amazingly private and gorgeous location. We will absolutely be back.

If you are seeking R & R in a charming and comfortable setting this is the place! The little house is very bright, cozy and has everything you need to relax with many thoughtful touches. Town is close by and has some good restaurants to try out. Scarlett was also very helpful in giving us river spots to try. For those seeking complete quiet just be aware that a family with children does live close by and while the noise was never excessive it is within earshot. It was never an issue for us. We felt very fortunate to be able to book this place last minute on a busy holiday weekend. And if you don’t want busy… the town of Hopland is the place to be!

Beautiful location on a huge property. Very private setting with plenty of wildlife. The river is a great place to spend your day. Highly recommend this place for a romantic getaway, family outing or remote getaway. Wifi works well if you need to work, kitchen is well stocked, and the views are incredible. We will be back!

Fi (age 9): “The hot room was the best ever, and I could play at the pond forever.” Huddy (age 7): “I loved playing darts.” (Mom adds, a little wearily.) We truly enjoyed our short stay and only wish we’d had more time. The hike to the waterfall was incredible—we spent an entire afternoon basking in the sun and catching frogs in the falls. We didn’t have a 4WD vehicle, which made the drive in a bit dicey in the downpour we arrived in. But after some white-knuckled moments, it was absolutely worth it. Christopher was a wonderful host—he made us feel extremely comfortable and checked in just the right amount. :) We’ll definitely be back!

We loved our time at Juliette’s Place so much, we didn’t want to leave, either to explore Mendocino (which is quaint and beautiful and definitely worth seeing), or to come home! But Juliette’s is so cozy, so simple & peaceful yet imbued with personality, I would have been happy to sit by the wood stove reading, or lounging in bed, or sitting in the lush garden, for many days more. Peter was the very best of hosts—kind, hospitable, communicative, full of information about everything from walks and restaurants to check out to the history of Mendocino to birdcalls of local birds. Can’t wait to go back some time.

We had a nice stay here, it was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Just a few spiderwebs on the wall behind the bed that could have been cleaned. Also, there was only one fork, one spoon, 2 knives. Otherwise everything went well!

Awesome, quirky, and cute. Hot tub is nice, as is the whole seating area out there. If you are a fan of creative spaces, different styles of stays, and don’t need or do fancy, this place is ideal. It is creaky and if you are over six feet tall you’ll have to duck at one spot, but that stuff adds to the cute factor not subtract. Good spot

This place is a gem! Comfortable, well-prepared, and beautifully and very thoughtfully designed. Martha and Stephen were welcoming and helpful from arrival to departure. Plenty of peace and quiet here, and a lovely space to sit outside as well. I’d be delighted to stay here again!

We can’t wait to come back here!! Glenn and Suzanne provided very detailed driving and check-in instructions and even provided a map to help out! We talked with them for a while once we checked in and again at check-out, and they provided some local recommendations! The property is beautifully enclosed by nature, and we were able to watch the stars at night; however, it’s only 10 minutes from downtown with great restaurants. It’s a perfect combo!! I’ve already recommended their place to friends, and we will definitely be back ourselves!!

Tabitha and her family were fantastic hosts! They made us feel like part of the family as soon as we checked in, even inviting us to eat our first dinner there with them. The place was perfect for our family of four. I was impressed by how clean everything was. Our toddler loved playing with the toys outside and the chickens were so much fun. This was a very difficult trip as we were visiting my father who was at the end of life, but the stay made things feel more manageable for us. The location is also very convenient and we were able to walk to local restaurants and even the park. My family is local here, so we will definitely be back!

Such a stunning little cottage and property! Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming, and thorough with their responses and detailed information. Highly recommend staying here as I felt very at peace. One of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in!

This was my first time in Point Arena with my dog. We felt right at home and loved the outdoor space and water tower. Bed was very comfortable. There’s a wildlife preserve right behind it that’s easy to book a tour. We also were able to find the Stornetta Lands South Trailhead about a mile mile away and it was a beautiful hike towards the lighthouse. We had a wonderful time! They were great hosts.
