It was such a special place. Both the home of Fanny and Mustapha, as well as Tinghir were such a magical surprise for us. Mustapha made us feel very welcomed, he prepared a delicious dinner and it was really a pleasure to get to know him. The view from the room is fantastic and the roof terrace is just another cherry on top. We would definitely recommend also taking time to have a walk around the palmeria which is just underneath the house. We really hope to come again soon and would recommend checking the arrival instructions - as it is in a small village and not immediate to find. The description that we received from Fanny was very helpful, and we managed to find it well.

Our stay at Fanny’s place was fantastic. Communication was smooth and easy. The accommodation was lovely, clean, and offered great value for the price. We especially enjoyed the stunning view over the oasis of Tinghir — breathtaking! Fanny’s husband Mustapha also cooked for us, and the (vegetarian) food was really good! I highly recommend staying here for a comfortable, memorable experience in Tinghir!

An immersive experience for a Berber night and exchanges with Moustapha, who knows his village well! A very nice meeting and I highly recommend this accommodation!

Very good welcome and quality accommodation, beautiful character house with all the comforts required. Very friendly meeting with Lahcen and Rachid, authentic and quality cuisine. The proximity to the gardens of the Valley of the Roses is nice for a walk in the area. We would be happy to come back on a tour with Lahcen who is an official guide.

We have really enjoyed our stay with Lhoussein’s family during our trip. It is an excellent stop when crossing the Atlas mountains. Do not expect a 5 star hotel but if you like to experience some true local Berber culture then this is the place to be. We were warmly hosted by the family. The older children speak some French and English. Lhoussein himself was away for work but communication with him was easy . His wife Aisha is a kind hostess and wonderful cook . We enjoined dinner (you can ask for this in advance) and breakfast. In the bedroom you will find a stack of blankets and we did not feel cold at all. Please note that this location used to be one big Guesthouse but has now been split in 2. One side is Lhoussein through Airbnb only and the other is run by his sister on another booking (!) site. Chose this one!!!.

It was a very peaceful place to stay and Moubarak was an excellent host. We went for a walk in the nearby dunes and the mountains. It was a safe and peaceful experience. I definitely recommend.

Excellent stay in Dar Timitar, with a very good welcome from Ahmed, and the quite exceptional site with a breathtaking view.

We had a nice stay at Abdoul's home - a clean, nice and comfortable place. Thanks to Ahmed who picked us up at and gave us a lift to the bus station, which made our check-in/out much easier. They also arranged us new year eve camel rides and a camping night in desert which was a lifetime memory for us. We'd like to recommend Abdoul's home to you.

Nice simple BnB in a beautiful remote location up on a mountain overlooking the awesome roses valley. We came directly from Marrakech with a small rental car and where really happy to find the exact opposite of the hustle and bustle of the city. We couldn't find this hotel for a longer time because there are several locations in maps.me but after asking some locals we finally made it. It's about 5mins drive on a dirt road off the main road from kalaat m'gouna. Best would be to save the GPS location before coming here. When we finally found it we were greeted by the hosts which are really nice and friendly people that prepared a dinner for us and gave us some tips for the area. Dinner and breakfast were good. Expect couscous or tagine as everywhere else in this part of marocco ;)

Ahmed is really a great host, we truly felt at home, the palce was enchanting and the staff very kind!

We spent 3 days at Omar's, for a family trip. The welcome is excellent and the family very pleasant and warm. The meals are very good ( excellent vegetable tagine!). The location of the hostel is ideal, in front of the dunes and Omar organized a beautiful evening bivouac in the desert. Recommended!

Very open-hearted host. Even though I made a mistake in my booking, we could find an arrangement. And the breakfast on the rooftop terrace was delicious!

We stumbled upon Nkob on our way back from Merzouga and were so glad we did. This vibrant village is full of charm, with well preserved Berber architecture and a lively market for picking up local goods. The Kasbah is cozy and tastefully decorated, with both Berber and Moroccan-style lounges, and two rooftops perfect for stargazing or soaking in the mountain views. Moha, the host, is full of heart and vision. He’s passionate about preserving the culture of his village and finding ways to support the local community through thoughtful tourism. He kindly took the time to show us around the nearby oasis—a gesture we deeply appreciated, and one that made the experience even more special. I’m glad we took this lesser-known route back to Marrakech. I’d love to return for a hike to the prehistoric rock carvings, more cooking classes with the chef, and a dip in the soon-to-be-finished pool. Thank you for having us—this place is full of soul and well worth a visit.

Ali was always very nice and helpful. Hotel staff are always ready for every request. The lovely place, tasty and abundant typical cuisine and truly unique desert experiences (very fun quad bikes and very interesting jeep tour, with a very good driver. I mean , we had a lot of fun. Thank you Ali!!!

We loved Planet Sahara & can't wait to go back. We are travelling around Morocco for 9 weeks and it was our favourite stay with the best hosts. Mohamed & Aziz were the best hosts and could not do enough for us. Lovely tea or coffee available and a great breakfast. Nice room and comfortable bed and very clean. They organised a camel trek with overnight stay in the Sahara desert which was amazing and we could have done a 4x4 trip but didn't have enough time. We were fortunate enough to celebrate the end of Ramadan with Mohamed and he cooked a delicious lamb tagine for us. We loved it so much we booked another night! Can't wait to go back!

We fell in love with this magnificent traditional Moroccan house offered by Farid. The interior decor is typical Moroccan, while being modern, the bedding is very comfortable. The house is located a little high up, which gives a wonderful landscape in a tranquility and an almost absolute calm except for the sound of nature... We feel really good there. Total disconnection from the almost with wifi (which has a good range). Lots of hiking to do in the area. A total delight for nature lovers 😍 We'll be happy to go back. ❤️

We had a pleasant stay in a very comfortable and very clean atypical dome. The pool is beautiful, the breakfast is great and Mostafa is very welcoming .

In addition to the place, a dream site located in the dunes. Very close to the dunes of Er Chebig. The room I expected. No luxuries but with everything needed. A Berber style room. But the best service from part Moha, always ready to fix any incident. I recommend going out to see the dunes or at night to see the firmament. Or just enjoy La Paz from the hostel. Also remember that they produce"moringa oliofera". And in summer they do sand baths. A couple of unforgettable days. I'll be back for sure.

Our stay at Kasbah IFRI was very enjoyable. Mohammed and his nephew are incredibly helpful and kind. The bedrooms have private bathrooms and we have access to the swimming pool. It is advisable to plan to eat before as there are no restaurants nearby, the Kasbah being isolated.
