We are nestled in the beautiful rolling countryside just between the city of Castelo Branco & Fundao. This beautiful yurt is situated right on the edge of our land. In a lovely peaceful space between the trees, with a view to the Gardunha mountain. We offer a double bed, small kitchenette with pots & pans, gas cooker, fridge with small freezer compartment, compost toilet, shower & wood for the log burner in colder months. Towels & linens provided. Discounts for weekly bookings.

Na Casa do Curral pode encontrar todo o conforto para uma boa estadia longe das multidões e na pacatez de uma pequena aldeia serrana. Os passeios a pé pelo vale da ribeira Teixeira, pelo antigo caminho da mala posta, oferecem paisagens diferentes em cada estação. A Casa situa-se na Ramela, freguesia portuguesa do concelho da Guarda com 218 habitantes composta por 4 aldeias anexas : Aldeia Nova, Aldeia Ruiva, Serra da Borja e Dominga- Feia.

Casa medieval, de origem judaica (pensa-se que pode ter origem nos judeus sefarditas que foram expulsos de Espanha em 1492 pelos Reis Católicos), inteiramente recuperada conservando por inteiro toda a sua originalidade. Apenas foi incorporada a inevitável modernidade mas nunca entrando em conflito com a sua arquitectura tradicional.
