Family-friendly holiday rentals in Mawgan Porth

We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

This was a brilliant place for an unexpected half term holiday. The property is very spacious and well equipped and an easy walk to a beautiful beach and some shops. Only sad that we could not stay longer.

A wonderful peaceful place which felt like a retreat. The owners were friendly and being able to join in with feeding the animals in the morning was great (not just for children). Sauna and hot tub was great. They would check what time we wanted it put on which was considerate. Was a surprise weekend for our mum and was even better than expected. Thank you for the stay x

Peaceful and quiet location with sheep and alpaca in the neighbouring fields. Sitting outside the shepherds hut we could see the sea in the distance - same view from the hot tub. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything that we needed for our short break.

Honestly the photos do not do this place justice its incredible what a view and the host could not have been better extremely helpful, always there at request, respectful, polite all round wonderful person even made us scones to bake and the the towels shaped in to love hearts was a really nice touch they made us feel welcome and right at home would recommend to anyone thank you sheila for a great experience will be visiting again

We had a wonderful stay at Widemouth Bay! The air bnb was perfect for our family stay. It had everything you needed, was well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated. The beach is literally a stones throw away which was fantastic with the glorious weather we had. We also had a great lunch at The Beach house which is also walking distance from the property. Rachel was a fantastic host and answered all our questions promptly. Thank you for such a lovely stay, we hope to come and stay again soon!

This was our family’s second stay at what is our favourite spot at Retallack. The lodge, being right on the water, feels peaceful and secluded, but is only a few minutes’ walk to the pool, restaurant and other amenities. Mel is a great host, always replying quickly, and the lodge has everything we needed for our stay. We’d definitely come back again.

We had such a wonderful time at Mill Pool Lodge despite some grey and wet weather. The beds were comfortable, the house is simply furnished and had what we needed. Jenni had sweetly made a delicious home made cream tea for our arrival. The gardens are absolutely stunning, tones of space to explore, all with different characters, it was wonderful walking round and spending time outside there, the birdsong was incredible and the Merlin bird ID app identified a tone of species. We enjoyed the hot tub too, and had a very relaxing time. We used the place as a base to explore our favourite North Cornwall beaches and towns. They also kindly lent us body boards as we forgot to bring ours! Would absolutely come back, what an incredible and special place, thank you for sharing it with us!!

We feel we were so lucky to pick up this property at the last minute due to a cancellation. It must have been fate ! Just what we were looking for. A great host in Paul who met us on arrival to give us a guided tour and all the info we needed, and throughout the week was only a message away with handy tips of places to go. The property was spacious, clean and tidy and very well equipped – particularly liked the amount of storage and black-out blinds in bedrooms, the seaside feel with lovely pictures and paintings, the fully enclosed good-sized back garden, own parking space, the quietness of the location but then still only 5 mins walk from all the local facilities needed, like pubs, coffee shops, convenience store and fish and chips, and the proximity to many local beaches and beautiful, bustling Padstow. What a find ! Thank you Paul we would love to return one day.

This was our second stay at Sharon's barn and we will definitely come back again. It's in a great location, has all the bits and pieces you need for a week's holiday and is incredibly comfortable. the bed is very comfy and we slept soundly, waking ready for a walk to the beach for a swim.

We loved our stay here. Philippa was very helpful and had thought of everything, lots of untensils in the house as well as letting us know in advance what was provided so we could pack accordingly. There was also an extensive list of things to do, activities, restaurants etc even including things to do for rainy days. The house was very peaceful and private and a lovely place to stay with access to gorgeous scenery as well as multiple towns. Thank you very much!

I had spoken Keltie a couple of times before arriving so I had a good idea what to expect. We are familiar with Padstow and have stayed close by many times. The House is full of character and interesting. Everything worked and with 6 of us and a baby to accommodate there was plenty of space. The house was advertised as having 2 bathrooms which is correct but the downstairs bathroom was a bit limited in size. That said it was clean and functional so no real issue.

Lovely home right on the river. Excellent location to stay and rest up or explore the local area.

Myself, my partner Claire and our little Pooch had a fantastic stay. The premises was in walking distance to the Fistral Beach. The restaurant recommended at Sea Spray was well received, we enjoyed our Brunch before checking in. Our hosts were great, facilitated an earlier check in than advertised. Would highly recommend staying here, we only wished we had more time.

Really great stay at The Heyloft. Was perfect for the 4 of us - very homely feel and excellent location for visiting lot's of beaches and cycling the Camel Trail

Matt was very responsive to messages prior to arrival. Very helpful and friendly welcome to the property by Matt. The Driftwood was perfect for our short stay with our dog who enjoyed walks on the beach and Tehidy woods a short drive away.Everything was clean and comfortable and would definitely return if in this area again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The property matched the description provided, though the photographs give the impression of a larger space. Nevertheless, it perfectly met our requirements. Chris was exceptionally responsive to our inquiries, addressing various questions we had. The area was clean and filled with ample natural light. Our children thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding land for play, as well as the small game room stocked with toys, which was a welcome respite during a particularly rainy and windy day. The on-site washing machine was available for free use, and the washing line proved to be quite useful. Although the outdoor pool was not heated, it did not deter my children from taking a dip and having fun. I would certainly consider staying at this property again.

My family of four recently stayed at Pamela’s place in Portreath and we had a blissful week in paradise! Everything about the week was great - Pamela and her family are so lovely and friendly and it truly felt like a home away from home. I booked this place especially for the amenities of the pool and hot tub and my kids (11 and 8) loved it! It was so nice to have an uncrowded swimming pool to relax at! The apartment was clean and cozy and was a great base for our week of adventures. It was nice to be able to walk 5 minutes for a morning pastry and coffee from the local bakery. It is clear from its immaculate and beautiful nature that Bassett Acre is a source of pride for Pamela and her family and they were perhaps the most gracious and friendly hosts of any place my family has stayed. We are already planning another stay next summer!

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

Our stay with Stephen was great! Very clean and private space cabin. With a lovely outside area where we sat with some friends. Very quiet and peaceful. Stephen was great and really flexible RE: check-in timings and always had a very quick response to any queries I had before our stay. Would highly recommend.

This was a lovely place to stay. We were 2 couples and a dog and we all had a relaxing time at the house which has everything you need to cook and relax together. It’s a very peaceful place, I am a very light sleeper and I slept so well here! The beds were extremely comfy and cosy. The sauna and jacuzzi were perfect both times we used it we had it to ourselves which felt very special. Highly recommend it.

Great apartment, very clean and spacious. Everything you need is there and it’s really close to the town centre and all of the beaches. This is the second time we have stayed and we will hopefully return in 2023.

Marcus's place was great for our visit to Cornwall. The apartment was very clean and in a nice building. Within walking distance to lots of restaurants and two beaches. When we got lost during check in Marcus was available over phone and he called us again later to make sure we got in okay. Very friendly!
