Villa holiday rentals in Mavrikiano

Beautiful spacious villa set set in the hills above Sitia. Cool, comfortable, stylish and well equipped inside , fabulous large outdoor area with terraces, eating area, shady green garden area and pool with loungers. We enjoyed a great week under cloudless skies chillling at the villa and visting Sitia (good selection of waterfront restaurants ) and surrounds. The best beaches are half hour or more drive away but well worth the trip. The local village Piskokefalo (a short drive away) has a great taverna with simple, good value local dishes. Mania our host was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The welcome pack with home made Moussaka and the surprise little departure gift were lovely touches. Thank you . Highly recommended. PS The Richtis gorge walk is a great outing but wouldn't recommend driving down to Richtis beach - very scary !

Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt, waren immer gut betreut und die Wohnung entsprachvoll unseren Erwartungen. Man muss wissen, dass in den Abendstunden auch das ein oder andere Flugzeug nach Heraklion fliegt. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist direkt vor Ort und zu Fuß in 2Minuten erreichbar. Ansonsten ist ohne Mietwagen ein schnelles Einkaufen oder Essen gehen mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nicht so einfach. Mit Auto alles kein Problem in fünf Minuten in großer Auswahl. Die Aussicht und die Wohnung sind sehr gut. Schwimmen vor Ort zu Fuß in fünf Minuten sehr gut möglich unterhalb der Wohnung. Diese war viel großzügiger als erwartet. Insgesamt kommen wir gerne wieder.

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

Wir hatten einen extrem schönen Aufenthalt in der Villa. Der Pool und die Aussicht sind einfach atemberaubend. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und es gibt viel Platz zum entspannen. Alles war sehr sauber und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Vielen Dank für alles Stavros. Wir kommen wieder!

We hebben bijzonder genoten van de locatie en de villa. alle voorzieningen waren zoals beschreven en nieuw. Uitzicht was adembenemend en de villa bood voldoende privacy en rust ondanks dat er drie zelfde villa's naast elkaar staan. Strandje, restaurants en supermarkt waren op loopafstand. Dus we hadden geen huurauto nodig. Plaatsje Agia Pelagia was ook op loopafstand. Is nog redelijk traditioneel Grieks vissersdorp maar wel redelijke toeristisch. Al met al een geweldig verblijf gehad waarbij de host, weliswaar op afstand en zonder persoonlijk contact, steeds online actief was, snel reageerde en proactief informatie verschafte.

This home is absolutely perfect for every type of vacation you want. Close enough to Herikalon for a quick transfer to the airport, winery, dinner or boat cruise.(make sure to connect with Manos for the best transfers and excursions). Yet also tons of good restaurants and coffee, shops, and small markets that allow you to be more casual if you want to. Then you can just stay in the villa use their excellent and clean kitchen and appliances and have one of the best views of Dia available on the island of Crete. The host Georgia is a 11 out of 10. She was kind enough to stock the kitchen so when we arrived, everything was already there for us to not have to leave the villa and totally relax and get over the jet lag. Then she provides ideas and was there every time I had a question (and I had a lot). The pool is perfect and house is new and precise and cools very well. Very good space and more than enough for the six people that it sleeps with having three private bathrooms was a treat

We read the reviews and immediately booked this gorgeous place. Full of history and modern amenities, it was the perfect launching spot for us to spend 3 days in Heraklion in total style and comfort. The views from every room and rooftop deck were stunning. To wake up with the blue water, harbor of boats and Venetian port was like being in a painting. Georgia was responsive and kind and generous. She shared the ancient history of her home with us—which made our stay even more magical. The piano and guitar were added bonuses that our musical family enjoyed playing! We highly recommend staying here—luxurious, historical, beautiful. We can’t say enough about how much we loved this place. Oh, and the outdoor garden patio at entrance was divine and the sky lights gave so much natural light. We also appreciated the washing machine and efficient and fast air conditioning. You won’t be disappointed if you book this place.

Could not recommend this place enough. Me and my 4 mates went to this villa. (5 lads, all 21 years old) it was amazing, Magdalena met us at the villa when we landed to talk us through all that we needed and show us around. It was huge, 5 bedrooms and plenty of things to do inside the house, multiple TVs, big kitchen with all the things you’d need, blenders, coffee machine, cutlery etc. The views from the villa were incredible as we were on top of a hill. The pool was the perfect temperature in the day and even at night it was never really cold like most pools. The gym is small but you can manage well if you know what you are doing. It has a good pool table, table tennis, loads of card games and a PS4. Whenever we needed any help Magdalena would always respond in minutes. The price is great for what you get it is the best I have found. It is only 15-20 minutes drive from the city of Heraklion where there is plenty to do such as food and drink. I’d also recommend renting a car.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

Very friendly host, we accidentally got their key with us and he agreed on us shipping it back. Moreover, we took on our way out a bag of groceries that we thought it was ours and he was extremely kind although it was our mistake. The place is super spacious and with great views, totally recommend it!

Wonderful modern place. Exteremely spacious and we loved relaxing by the pool and enjoying the views. Simos was excellent - super responsive and provided extra tips and recommendations such as restaurants and supermarkets. All our requests were met, with an infant cot and high chair provided for our baby and the washer and dryer were very handy!

We had a wonderful 5-day vacation at the villa. The property was stunning! It was tastefully designed, offering full privacy, and was super clean. We used the brick oven to make pizza and also enjoyed the pool. Everything was just as it looked in the pictures, and the villa was equipped with everything we needed. Pandelis, the owner, was very responsive to all of our requests and questions. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic villa, we couldnt have asked for more. The house is amazing and immaculate with everything you could need. Elina was the perfect host and went above and beyond and was proactive with extra information and tips. We couldnt have asked for a more welcoming and warm host. 5 star house with a 5 star host. we will be back.

What a wonderful stay! Antonios was incredibly communicative and greeted us warmly during check-in with fully stocked fridge, raki and a delicious platter of tomatoes, cucumbers and feta. The grounds were immaculate, the amenities were exactly as described on the listing. The location is wonderful - multiple small grocery stores located within walking distance, as well as a handful of delicious tavernas and restaurants along the water and in the nearby town. The location was excellent relative to activities on the island - we visited Knossos Palace, Skotino Cave (MAGICAL), Heraklion's Archaeology Museum, Star Beach (for some scuba diving + waterslides with the kids), and an Easter music event in a nearby town. We even rented a dune-buggy for the afternoon from the rental centre right next door. The villa itself had a great outdoor bbq, air conditioning units + smart TVs in every room, a well-stocked kitchen, laundry, clothes lines, beach chairs, pool toys, you name it, it's got it!

My husband, our 7yo daughter, and I stayed at Michaela's house in Crete for five nights in April, and we enjoyed it very much. The inside is clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely, but the outside living space - the pool area, the outside dining/grilling area, the terraces - make it special. Michaela's mother Eva, who lives next door, is an exceptionally welcoming and kind host. While she was nearby to help make our stay as comfortable as possible, there was no loss of privacy in the proximity. The house is in a quiet residential area, and we rented a car to get to grocery stores, restaurants, beaches, etc., and to explore Crete in general; this was easy and worked out very well. The weather during our stay was still cool enough, especially at night, so we didn't make full use of the AC system, but the house seems well equipped to handle summer heat. All in all, we recommend and hope to stay again sometime!

Met een groep van 9 vrienden een fantastisch verblijf gehad. Het huis was prachtig en de tuin met zwembad ook ook. Ook erg aardig dat we bij het uitchecken nog konden verblijven in een ander resort van manolis voordat we naar het vliegveld moesten. Dankjewel namens alle boys!

We had a great time at Villa Adagio in Vrachasi. Great base to visit other places like Agios Nikolaos to find some sunshine and beautiful surroundings during the first few days of our stay before enjoying the heated pool at the weekend. In Vrachasi you’ll find some really good tavernas with the nicest people. Charis, George and Sofia were very attentive and responsive throughout our stay catering for all our needs. Simply excellent hosts!

Great villa in a stunning location with incredible views and set next to an Olive grove. A car is a must really as too far to walk to Plaka. Taxi prices were reasonable if you do want a night out without driving (15 Euros from Elounda). Pool was spotless (and warm) and cleaned/serviced twice during our stay. Caretakers were extremely helpful. We did have a problem with one of the Aircons breaking down at the end of our stay but were given a fan straight away and an appropriate refund when it could not be fixed that day. Obviously stuff does go wrong and the host's response in this case means I am happy to give a 5* rating. Villa very well equipped with everything you could need. Only potential issue could be for those with extensive reduced mobility as there are steep steps to the property (we are late 60's and NOT an issue for us).

We had a wonderful holiday at the beautiful Villa Cristina! The view is unforgettable, sunrise is especially magical! The Villa has a tranquil setting in the hillside but there is a lovely little seaside village nearby. Liza was very responsive to any requests and helpful with recommendations. We would highly recommend!

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Lage ist top – ruhig und privat, und trotzdem sind Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Strand bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit Pantelis war reibungslos und sehr angenehm. Er hat uns herzlich empfangen, uns tolle Tipps gegeben und sogar ein paar Getränke sowie frisches Obst bereitgestellt. Auf unsere Bitte hin, das Poollicht länger anzulassen, wurde direkt reagiert. Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt: Es gab recht viele Insekten, auch vereinzelte tote Insekten in der Wohnung, was in dieser Gegend aber nicht ungewöhnlich ist. Mit Sprays aus dem Supermarkt ließ sich das Problem aber gut in den Griff bekommen. Also konnte man problemlos drüber hinwegschauen. Insgesamt können wir die Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen – wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Wij verbleven met drie personen in dit huis in april. Het huis is prachtig, vooral het uitzicht is adembenemend en de tuin met zwembad. We werden verwelkomd door een heel vriendelijke poetshulp Theodhora en haar dochter, en voelden ons meteen thuis. Het weer was wel niet zo goed (fris en regen), waardoor we niet veel gebruik konden maken van de buitenruimte. Binnen was het OK voor drie mensen, maar zeker niet te groot. Het nadeel van de extreem steile helling naar het huis losten we op door onze auto te parkeren naast restaurant Terrassa aan de hoofdbaan (35.232842,25.728091) van waar er een kort wandelpad naar het huis leidt. Heel mooie stadjes in de buurt, en de kloof van Kritsa is ook vlakbij. Aanrader!

Hospitality is considered one of the oldest cultural assets - particularly on Crete. Both, Giannis and Eleftheria, are hospitable people par excellence. We enjoyed our stay in the villa very much. Efcharistó!

Patīkama uzturēšanās dabas ieskautā teritorijā ar sakoptu dārzu, ziedošiem augiem, kokiem. Iespēja baudīt dabu, vidi un sauli dažādos diennakts laikos, tam iekārtotas omulīgas nojumes un lapenes dažādās vietās dārzā , pie baseina un pie mājas. Maltīti iespējams pagatavot pašiem virtuvē, vai uz dzīvas uguns dārzā. Vēsākam vakaram vai romantikai mājā ir iekurināms kamīns. Ļoti patika, ka ir dabas tuvums, nav pilsētas trokšņu un kņadas, tai pat laikā pilsēta Herakliona sasniedzama vien aptuveni 10-12 minūšu braucienā ar auto. Jutāmies omulīgi, saimnieki atsaucīgi un viesmīlīgi.

Nous avons passé 3 nuits très agréable dans la villa. La villa est neuve et la vue est vraiment très belle. La villa est bien située pour visiter la région. La boîte à clefs nous a donner une grande flexibilité pour l’arrivée ce qui était bien appréciable. Je regrette juste que pour le prix il n’y ait pas de lave vaisselle.
