Holiday rentals with a patio in Matala

This was one of the nicest AirBnB apartments I have rented. What was responsive to questions prior to the trip, arranging taxi service from the airport. Even though our flight was two hours late and we didn't arrive until 10 pm she was there to greet us and show us the apartment. Her restaurant recommendations were outstanding. Finally, the location on the outskirts of Old Town Rethymno could not have been better. I enthusiastically recommend this place!

I can’t say that enough about Nikoloaos and his wife as hosts! They were so incredibly kind and responsive. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable and fun. By far the best Airbnb hosts I’ve encountered in my travels. I would very highly recommend a stay at this Airbnb. If you don’t, you’re missing out!

The apartment is spacious and the terrace is very large with electronic canopy. The hot tub was well heated and very clean, including an outdoor shower on the terrace. The sunset is beautiful to watch from the terrace and the restaurants are within walking distance. The access road is adventurous, but doable. Very quiet neighborhood and beach about 100 meters away.

Giorgio’s place was beautiful and well maintained. He was always very responsive (Ben when we locked ourselves out) and gave us recommendations for the local super market and an AMAZING place for dinner. The home was very comfortable with a beautiful sea view and had everything we needed.

The apartment was very nice with a spectacular view. It was all within walking distance. And the hosts were super friendly and always available.

This was my favourite stay of our whole vacation. We stayed in Lena Villa which was perfect for our family of 4, laundry is such a bonus. The villa is a bit of a hike from the parking spot especially with roller bags but it's worth it. Down in the little village there are 3 amazing Tavernas all in close proximity to the villa. I highly recommend this stay!

Pretty nice, modern and clean. You have to take some minutes to get to the center.

We had a great time in this apartment, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The terrace is great and the views are wonderful. We were warmly welcomed and our host was very responsive and kind. We'll be back with great pleasure.

This was the best AirBnb I've ever stayed at, and it really made our trip to Crete. Maria was an A+ host. She was extremely responsive and helpful and pointed us to all of the best beaches and restaurants. The house is in immaculate condition, very clean, and very spacious, and is only 10 minutes from downtown Chania. Thank you for everything, Maria!

The house is truly something special. The interior and design of the house is super tasteful and combines traditional Crete with modern elements. Everything in the house was spotless and brand-new. The view from the terrace was breathtaking and the courtyard was very cosy. We can only recommend this gem of house at Crete. The location is a little remote but perfect to relax and enjoy Crete off the beaten paths. We hope we will come back. Also the village where the house is located is so picturesque. Amazing local tavern with great authentic food are in walking distance.

The Location was amazing. Quite and private. Everything was amazing there was nothing to complain about probably the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. Marianna is absolutely amazing. The sweetest and most caring host ever. She gave us so many recommendations and was beyond helpful. I would recommend mend this place to everyone!!

A little piace of heaven! This is not just an incredibly beautiful villa with a gorgeous garden and pool. There comes so much more with this stunning location, from the peaceful surroundings to Irina's attention to detail and kindness. If you are looking for a place to relax, recharge and enjoy Crete far from tourist spots in complete privacy this is your place.

Me and my family of 4 (kids 13 and 8) had a terrific time at the Eco House. A very light, clean house on spacious premises with a superview over the Lybian Sea, and under an immense sky full of stars. We had diner on the terrace, used the firegrill outside. Agios Pavlos was our favorite beach with a tasty taverna and superfriendly staff (a 10 minute drive). We made trips to Agia Galini, Knossos, Rethymnon, the mountains, monasteries and many other beaches, all within 20 minutes to max 1,5 hour driving distance. I rented a mountainbike and cycled the challenging peaks and routes in the beautiful, green area. I highly recommend the place and the host was extremely helpful over the phone and e-mail when we needed some info.

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the roof terrace and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought the sea would be missing, but that wasn't the case at all. We really came to rest – walks in the area were enough for that. Actually, we planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice excursions, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. We had an amazing quiet time, the villa matches the photos. Note that the occupants of the villa above can see you, which has bothered us a lot, and that if there are children in the house next door it takes a little off the side alone in the world with the noise. If not, it's great.

A big thank you to Konstantinos and Stelina for providing a beautiful apartment for their guests. We were delighted with the layout of the rooms, very modern with floor-to-ceiling windows, a kitchen where nothing was missing (even a salad spinner and a measuring cup were there!) and with a comfortable bed. Towels are changed every 3rd day and linens are changed every 5th day, real luxury! It smells very pleasant, thanks to the well-selected fragrance sticks. For me, a good-smelling apartment is always very important and we appreciated it as well. The balcony is airy and after 10:00 in the shade, it is pleasant to endure and the beautiful view of Souda Bay is simply magnificent. Downtown is about 10 minutes by car, so you are quickly in the center, but also quickly outside in the evening. Ideal for people who want to enjoy city life but prefer to have it a little quieter. Thank you again for everything!!

Loved the huge deck. Across street from beautiful beach where you could rent chairs and an umbrella and order food and drink. Walk to dozens of all kinds of different restaurants right on the “the strip” and in the old town.

Very nice apartment in a very good location, close to the sea, shops and restaurants. The bed is comfy, the kitchen has everything you need. Marirena provided me with all the clear and accurate information as soon as I arrived. I spent almost 3 weeks there, a real joy, I would go back without hesitation! Beautiful stay! Such tasteful design, spotless home with really wonderful staff to help. The team was very responsive and had really set up the place to make it very warm. It had everything you may neeed and more! Super strong winter net too so we enjoyed working there. Loved it and would definitely suggest!

Very nice accommodation with its large balcony. It's nice to be welcomed and to have breakfast available. Very good location to visit most of the must-see places. I recommend it!

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!!
