Rosemary's Nest is awesome! The view off the front porch is a different movie every night. Old Rag, White Oak Canyon and the Skyline Drive are about 40 minutes away, Culpeper is 16 miles away. I suppose we were a little different type of guests, as we stayed ~six months. I was there to recover from a full hip replacement and the steep-ish driveway was perfect for physical therapy. Rosemary and Joe became like family, kept an eye out for us and they invited us upstairs for many delicious dinners and a Civil War quiz. If I have to get my other hip done in the next year or so, we certainly will be returning!

Great place. Cozy and perfect for 2. The space was cute and clean! Host responded to any questions quickly and continued to communicate as needed.

Communication with Isabella was a breeze. She was responsive and friendly. Location was good - just a few minutes to JMU, grocery stores, and restaurants. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities - stove, oven, fridge, microwave oven, kettle, and coffee machine. There are also washer and dryer which are able to handle big loads of laundry. The bedrooms are comfortable, as were the beds and pillows. Even though the bathroom is small, the shower water pressure is very good. Isabella and Lorenzo provided us with helpful information and recommendations of where to eat and things to do in the area. Thank you 😊

we had a wonderful long weekend golf getaway! This place is in a super cool location! Lots of golf within a 20-30 min radius. Tons of neat little shops and stuff to see within walking distance. The town is very clean and the people were super friendly. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area! We will be back!!!

Thank you for hosting us for the night! This airbnb was exactly what we needed. Amazing views and peaceful scenery of the mountains, yet an easy drive to the town. The Airbnb was really clean and cozy, and has all the amenities you will need.

Everything was exactly as advertised and then some. This place was perfect for me and my two littles. Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed, and check in was incredibly flexible. My only complaint is that I wish I found this place earlier in the ski season. 10 out of 10 hands down.

We are repeat guests at Paula’s and it’s always a great time. Visiting our JMU Duke and staying at the Southern Charm Retreat is always fun, convenient to the campus and relaxing. House is roomy and super clean. The game room is a fun bonus and the back yard deck is beautiful, well maintained and great for entertaining. Thanks as always Paula !

We spent two nights at Lindsey's place in Luray to hike in Shenandoah NP. The location was fantastic, easy walk to restaurants, shops, movies. The apartment had a nice front porch that overlooked the river and greenway path. The house was had two floors and was roomier than we expected. Everything was spotless and the neighborhood was scenic and quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much.

First off, Rob and Jen are genuinely kind and nice people. That contributes greatly to being super hosts who treat their guests with kindness and concern. Their apartment is just as the photos depicted. It is very clean, has a private entrance and private patio, and has all you need for a comfortable stay. The pasture raised eggs, personal note, and local coffee add a really nice touch. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, it is a short walk to town, and very close to area wineries, hiking, and fishing. Their sweet Golden Retreiver Sadie may greet you. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning.

Cindy and Bill were extremely friendly as if they've known us forever! Their home was perfect, very roomy and spotless. We stayed for the weekend because our daughter graduated from JMU, but could've easily stayed a lot longer. We didn't feel cramped at all! My only regret is that I didn't know about Champion's Nest all this time!!! Thank you Cindy and Bill for making us feel at home <3

We had the most wonderful anniversary celebration. Kerry's place The Engham Apartment at Before & After is perfect for a romantic get away. The breakfast is delicious and the staff friendly and inviting. Sperryville has so much to offer and we will be back soon.

I would certainly give this Airbnb a recommendation! The condo was unexpectedly large and pristine, just as depicted. Jessica, the hostess, was quite the welcoming presence—she met us at the meeting place, fielded all questions we had, and even shared some most useful intel about the area along with splendid suggestions for local spots. The check-in and out were smooth, and altogether, the condo was very cozy and well looked after. We enjoyed watching the sun set into the mountains a few feet from the golf course. Even my 6 and 7 year old came out to sit and watch the stars. The one downside—no fault of the host—is that the unit is on the first floor, with another condo directly above. At times, it sounded like the upstairs guests were walking around in steel toe boots. While it was a bit disruptive, it didn’t take away from the overall positive experience. Jessica was a wonderful host, and I would happily stay at this Airbnb again!

This was our second time staying at Brenda and Jack's. We were celebrating our daughter graduating from JMU and their place was a great home base. They were always responsive to any questions and made the stay easy.

Susan's place was perfect! It was extremely clean, spacious, cozy, and in the cutest town just a quick drive to Shenendoah national park! I felt very at home and will absolutely stay here again next time I am in the area.

Jennifer’s place was amazing! A fully private guest house with tons of space and well stocked. Beautiful location and we were excited to use the hot tub. Would definitely stay again when visiting Shenandoah.

Perfect for a quick getaway for my friends and I! The best part was being super close to the ski slopes/snow tubing and the late check out. We originally planned on just one day of skiing and snowboarding, but got to get in a couple extra hours with the late check out and close proximity. Thanks Carissa!
