Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Masonboro Island

We stayed at this Airbnb for three days and had a wonderful experience! The place was super clean, peaceful, and exactly what we needed. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. One of the nicest surprises was how kind the neighbors were someone even left a note on our car to let us know we’d accidentally left a light on. It really added a personal touch and made us feel cared for. The location was great too only about 20 minutes from the beach and a waterpark, Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Wilmington!

We had a fabulous 2-night stay at Sam’s place this week! We came down from upstate SC for our daughter’s freshman orientation at UNCW. The location was GREAT! It was a less than 5 min drive to campus, and anything else we needed was very nearby, too. The house was lovely: cute, updated, super clean, private and quiet. The beds were comfy and we felt right at home. Excellent communication by Sam. I’m already planning to book again for future trips to visit our daughter at college. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We loved our stay at Hydrangea House! It’s clean and homey, in a safe neighborhood with beautiful surroundings, and a short drive from lots of amazing restaurants and things to do. Rachel was a kind and responsive host who gave great recommendations. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Enjoyed my three day getaway. Our stay was very peaceful! The cottage was cute and cozy. The Hosts were great as well! They made sure we had everything we needed. I would stay here again!

Julia’s cottage is PERFECTION! I would move in if I could. Very thoughtfully appointed- nothing was missing that I needed. The bed is very comfortable, and the AC plus ceiling fan ensures perfect comfort. The desk in front of the gorgeous window was great as was the high speed internet. The kitchen had everything I needed, and Julia’s information booklet had great restaurant/entertainment/shopping ideas. So much light in the cottage with all the windows- it felt like a treehouse almost. And the bathtub was awesome! Nice to take a soak after a long day at Kure Beach.

Highly recommend!!! Kristen was such a wonderful host and the property was absolutely beautiful :) Kristen was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed and was easily assessable. We had no issues! Everything was perfect and exactly what was listed. Super clean and charming. The house had all the amenities you could possibly think of. Would defiantly stay again. my girlfriend and I needed a private night to ourselves and Timothy's home was exactly what we needed. The backyard hot tub area was so private and nice. We slept wonderfully in the super soft bed and were able to focus on each other. I'll definitely stay here again

The Seahorse Castle was perfect for 2! Clean, plenty of dishes and kitchen must haves, a soakable sized tub, decorated with beachy vibes, and just as described. If you have 4x4 I recommend Fort Fisher to drive out and set up on the beach. We had an amazing time, ate good food, heard live music, went to CB market around the lake Saturday morning, and can’t wait to return! Jeanette’s place will always be special to us, we got engaged! 💕 Kelly & Pauly

This was our first Airbnb experience since selling our timeshare last year. Andres & Emily made everything easy! Great check in and check out instructions. The condo was very clean, with all of the amenities they listed in their description. The bed was clean and comfortable and the living room was nicely decorated with a couch, coffee table and television. Highly recommend eating at Island Burger and Pops Diner, which are nearby. The boardwalk was only 2 blocks over. I also found a beautiful starfish necklace (I've been looking for a nice one for awhile) at a boutique called Salty Chic...very cool store located in the Publix shopping center. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would also highly recommend Andres And Emily's condo, especially for a couple.

Perfect place to stay in downtown Wilmington! Minutes to the riverwalk amongst beautiful historic homes. Our stay was quiet and we had plenty of space and everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Overall, this was a great experience. She had clear instructions and was very responsive. The place was a short walk from the beach and it was cute and cozy!

Great place to stay! Jarrod and his wife were very friendly and responsive with any questions on the app. They even let us check in early. Accommodating bikes was so thoughtful and fun for us as we biked to coffee places and lunch. We kayaked to palm tree island and that was so much fun! It’s also a great location to walk to the beach as well! The balcony was so peaceful in the morning and at night. 10/10 experience and first time vacationing to Wilmington. Will 100% come back!

Such a special, unique experience! Amazing location, easy walk to beach, as well as coffee, food and shops. The space’s aesthetic was great, and the layout very functional.

Sara is a phenomenal host. Her place was as described and beautifully decorated. We felt right at home. The kitchen is well stocked but the local restaurants, so many within easy walking distance, were too tempting to resist. The furnishings were all comfortable, including the bed, which was much appreciated. If you have stayed at an airbnb with a cheap mattress, you will understand my relief. We enjoyed coffee on the balcony and watching the boats sail by. After breakfast at The Drift Coffee + Kitchen (awesome avocado toast) we set a goal to explore the entire Riverwalk and it was easily done, even in the June heat. Whether boat tours, historical home tours, horse drawn carriage rides, or shopping are on your list, Sara's condo is centrally located and very convenient. So much so, once we parked our car, we didn't need it again until we were ready to leave. And as an additional convenience, the complementary parking pass was so helpful. We look forward to another stay.

My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary at A Wave From it All, and it did not disappoint. We stayed for 4 nights, and were able to enjoy the beach and the activities with no problem. The only downside was that the pool was unfortunately closed for our time here, and we had originally chose this place based on the fact that there was also a pool, however that isn’t something Jenna could control of course as they were doing construction on it; we did not know until we arrived. However, the restaurants and the boardwalk are all very close, as well as the beach access being right across from our house. We walked the pond most nights as well which was nice. Overall, we had a great experience here and will be staying again next year.

Great stay at Gregory's condo. Enjoyed both balconies, which had comfortable furniture and front balcony has 2 views of the ocean! Two beach chairs, towels and umbrella provided, which was nice since we flew. Pier with tiki bar, food and ice cream is a block away- really nice views too! Pool was an added bonus!

Perfect location! Just a few steps to the beach on a coded private walkway. Within easy walkable distance to the boardwalk for us & our small dog. Britts donuts has always been one of my favorite places! Condo was very clean. The king bed was really comfy. Amanda messaged after we checked in to make sure everything was going good & that we didn't have any issues with anything. I would highly recommend this condo.

We stayed for a weekend because we were attending a wedding in Wrightsville. The place is very clean and it has everything you need and more. Gwen is extremely responsive with questions and recommendations and very attentive.The left coffee and creamer available, as well as basics like oil, salt, pepper, sugar. We didn’t cook but the coffee was a great thing to have in the morning as they had also a nice coffee maker to get fresh coffee. The place is extremely convenient. They had a Harris Teeter very close as well as lots of restaurants. The beach is 5 mins away so you can do a lot in less time. I personally recommend the place.

It was the perfect place for a quick work trip! The place was cute, and the perfect size for a couple!

The view is incredible from the balcony. We had coffee out there every morning, and my husband even spotted a dolphin! The location is amazing! The condo is walkable to so many delicious restaurants. We took nightly walks after dinner along the Riverwalk. The hosts always responded so quickly, and added nice touches such as leaving us a bottle of wine and candies. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return again.

Anne was so wonderful to work with and her communication was excellent! Her place was not only beautiful, but it was the perfect location to both the beach and the pool! It had multiple private decks for our family to enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean. The house was spotless and has been very well maintained; and as an extra bonus- it included ALL of the linens including plenty of extra bath towels and beach towels! We will definitely be back for many years to come!

The condo was just and pictured and described. I appreciated the nice gas stove and well stocked kitchen since we cook all our meals instead of eating out. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the covered front porch watching all the activity on the main road. The beach was uncrowded and a very short walk away. Really appreciated the beach tent and chairs that were in the garage.
