Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Marquay

Everything you hope for in a AirBNB/ Gite in France! We stayed one week with our teenage kids this October. The house is old but has every comfort needed including a large fire place and a washing machine. The atmosphere is right and every room is decorated in a unique way. The garden is large with lots of places to sit, lounge and a table to have breakfast, lunch and even a bbq for dinner. We spend lots of time in the hot tub and at the very nice heated pool. Pascale is a wonderful host, she waited for our late arrival, she had snacks and even breakfast for us to get started, she provided nice bathrobes and towels for the pool, had great local recommendations and was always available for a chat. The place is a little secluded but that was just right for us. Lot’s of fields and forests with plenty of wildlife, we did lots of long hikes with the dog. And for a visit to the market, a restaurant, castles, etc most places are less than 30 minute drive. Highly recommended!

Françoise is very kind as well as her husband and son, the room is peaceful with its balcony and small garden lounge to admire the landscape and the hot air balloons. We had a wonderful stay and we plan to come back. I recommend

Linda and Alex's villa is in a beautiful & peaceful location, it has a fantastic swimming pool and beautiful gardens with lots of things to do – table tennis, swimming, boules, & relaxing 😌 The area is wonderful with lots of River swimming and beautiful towns all within a 10/15 minute drive We will definitely be returning

Christiane's apartment is in a beautiful location and is well placed for visiting numerous attractions in the Lot and the Dordogne. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. Christiane was a superb hostess. She gave us a very warm welcome, explained everything to us carefully and was extremely helpful. I can wholeheartedly recommend both Christiane and her apartment.

We arrived, my 2 sons and I, on motorcycles earlier than expected and were hosted very well by Odile. The motorcycles were parked in the garage. We ate the Périgord menu prepared by Odile which was excellent, quantity and quality. We slept well, the bedding is comfortable. Breakfast was perfect too. Thanks Odile

We really enjoyed our stay. Christophe was very friendly and we enjoyed our visit with him on the terrace. A nice breakfast was provided that we really appreciated. We were able to park our motorcycle right in the enclosed yard. Thank you to Christophe and his wife for sharing their lovely space!

Emmanuelle is very friendly and provided us with her breakfast room for dinner because many restaurants were closed. The room is very nice and the breakfast is delicious and hearty (fresh bread and croissants, brioche, fruit etc.) A beautiful place, quiet, to visit the surrounding sights and cities.

A wonderful weekend , beautiful and very peaceful setting, 😊my partner and I will return to Beatrice's with great pleasure

Philippe's and Alison's place was so lovely. A home away from home with lots of outdoor space, great for families. My kids particularly enjoyed swimming in the pool, playing ping pong, and football on the field. The breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend.

Thanks to Laurence and her husband for the exceptional quality of their welcome and their incredibly well-located accommodation close to the majority of tourist places in the region. We had a pleasant stay. As for breakfast, it was perfect!

We enjoyed our short stay in the Dordogne in part thanks to Susan's hospitality and kindness...she takes great care of her hosts ...generosity and kindness are at the rendezvous... nice room... comfortable bedding...everything is fine!!...And cherry on the cake. .. hearty breakfast with delicious homemade jams... all served in a beautiful garden ...go there without hesitation!!

Impeccable cleanliness and very good bedding. Hearty breakfasts with pastries, which is very pleasant. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful place – a true gem for nature lovers! The surroundings are peaceful and perfect for anyone looking to disconnect and enjoy nature. The host's communication was excellent from start to finish, always attentive and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and the highlight of our stay was when he showed us how he trains his horse – such a unique and special experience!

Very nice room on a quiet property. Kathy is a thoughtful host who welcomed us with great hospitality. The room is well decorated and the amenities are as described. The bedding is of very good quality. Gourmet and varied breakfast. Always good advice that allowed us to discover unusual places or good places to eat, thanks to Phillipe too. We were hosted very well and will be happy to go back.

The house and vast gardens could not have been more beautiful! The manor house has a chateau on either side of it. The Magnolia Room was luxurious with windows all around and pretty views from each one. We had the run of the gardens and most of the house; Sarah and Glenn were friendly and helpful. There are great walks and drives from the house. Autoire is small and charming, in glorious countryside. In cold weather the house was chilly, and I lacked drawers or shelves to put away clothes, although I had hanging space. I especially enjoyed strolling in the flowery garden, watching the birds fly over the stream, and petting the donkeys.

A big thank you to Jocelyne. Warm welcome but never intrusive. A beautiful person we would like to meet more often. The accommodation is completely independent and Jocelyne who lives next door is very discreet. This little nest is very pleasant, impeccable and comfortable bedding. Soothing view of nature. Jane, Duncan and their son Lorne are amazing. So friendly and kind and so helpful. Helped with translations on the phone, were great to chat with but also give us our space. This place is a gem. One of the most beautiful views we’ve seen. Thanks so much!

Manuela and Manu are naturally charming hosts who know how to welcome guests in the best possible way. their accommodation is a small cocoon in a warm Corrèze, a very good starting point to visit the area or to rest in this oasis, they know the area by heart and are excellent advisors,

Our 1 night stay with Gaby and Werner was just wonderful! We could have easily have stayed a few nights longer if time would have permitted. The B and B is located in a beautiful location, the house is nothing short of stunning, we really appreciated the history of the home and the fact Gaby and Werner were happy to explain the history of the home. The house is so warm, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We opted to enjoy the 3 course meal, wow, the quality of the food and wine was first class. We loved meeting Kiki the dog and the four cats, makes it so homely. The absolute best part for us was the conversations we enjoyed with Gaby and Werner, such kind and friendly people. We recommend this B and B, try to stay more than one night!

We had a wonderful stay at Aurélia & Julien's in Autoire. The mansion is beautiful, the village delightful, the waterfall very beautiful! We enjoyed the warm welcome, the aesthetics of the place, the welcome pool in August as well as the recommendations of our hosts (favorite for restaurants: Ernestine and Philia's Trip). We will be happy to stay in the beautiful Leda room!

Everything was perfect, I had a very good welcome, the room is perfect and there is a magnificent point of view. I recommend it.
