Anne's Fairytale Cottage feels very homey, it is well decorated with personable items, it's cozy, has a well equipped kitchen, with laundry, and had everything we needed to enjoy a home cooked meal. Anne was super helpful on arrival, and responded really quick in case of the occasional question. Most of all, Anne was really friendly, it was nice to meet her.

River Road Retreat was a delight to stay at, and Peter and Rebecca lovely hosts. The cottage is beautiful, clean and in a gorgeous setting surrounded by fields, and with stunning views to the hills in the distance. We loved the welcome bottle of wine and yummy nibbles, as well as the delicious breakfast served every morning. The air is fresh and clean, the water absolutely pure, and after three days we’ve returned home refreshed and reenergised. Wonderful!! Big thanks from us!!!

Peaceful, eclectic cottage which has been tastefully restored to pay tribute to the original building, plus some stylish new touches! Loved the story of how it all came together, and the proximity to Kaikōura was great. Thoughtfully put together space. Thanks for having us!

We felt very much at home in the Blue Cottage - loved the wood interior and it was a very comfortable stay. Would certainly be keen to stay again.

Lovely cottage and great view highly recommended

Really enjoyed our one night stay! We had lots of fun with the records and games provided. Super close to the main town so we could walk to pubs/bars/restaurants and shops - also could walk to the whale encounter. Sauces in the fridge were a nice touch - as we considered getting fish and chips! Quite close to other houses though so not very private. Overall very happy with our stay, it was a lovely little spot!

Location was excellent so entertaining watching the boats come and go. Bedrooms were cozy and very comfortable beds. Graeme and Raylene were so friendly and helpful :)

We stayed at Alexandra’s with our 6 month old and had plenty of room as well as everything we needed. It was a treat getting to enjoy her beautiful garden, introducing our baby to the fruits, flowers and songbirds that made up this little corner of paradise. The bed and pillows were extra comfortable, giving us extra good night sleeps after hiking and exploring the Nelson-Tasman area. Alex gave some great recommendations for walks right from our doorstep, giving us beautiful views of the farmlands and vineyards surrounding the area. We stayed nearly a week and had everything we needed and more!

This is a very special place, I wish I could have stayed longer. The house is incredibly cosy and atmospheric, and we felt so spoilt with the great breakfast. This is a true getaway whilst everything you'd like to do and see in the region is close by. Highly recommended!

Beautiful, peaceful place to stay in Kaikoura with incredible views over the South Pacific. Waking up there in the mornings with that view was really special, and the stargazing from the huge deck is also really stunning. It’s very well equipped with everything you could need in the kitchen, has really comfy beds, and is in a great location for exploring Kaikoura. We mostly drove but there’s a 10 min track downhill to the town/coast which is less than a 2 min walk up the road. If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay with plenty of space and 10/10 views, definitely book this cottage!

Great location! And a very comfortable place - with a spectacular morning sunrise view! A little bit of a walk to reach the beach and coffee shops - but the quiet location was worth it!

Great stay at Gina and Martins place. Super responsive hosts and brought us tasty filter coffee for the mornings. Absolutely stunning views and super clean property. Highly recommend staying here. Peaceful and tranquil

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Jenny's cottage. From the moment we pulled into the drive, we knew we'd found a great spot to 'hang our hats' for a few days. The setting is just lovely, with the beautiful flower garden immediately adjacent to the cottage as well as the great farm and mountain views, especially from the living room and outdoor patio. Jenny and her husband Tony were top hosts. We enjoyed several wine tastings, morning jogs on the nearby bike path, and generally kicking back in this very comfortable home.

We had a lovely long weekend staying at this cottage outside Mapua. The views were incredible out every window, we loved the woodstove in the evening, the bed was comfortable and it was so peaceful! It was a quick 5 minute drive to great coffee in Mapua (recommend the Java Hut!) and we explored the Abel Tasman, the Taste Trail and even used the cottage’s kayaks on the inlet. A great stay!

Walking distance to the lively and fun Mapua Wharf area and a lovely little cottage with character and everything you need. Was a pertfect rest spot after doing the Abel Tasman walk
