Sean's cottage is an absolute delight, we moved in as though it was our own home. Worth reading previous reviews mentioning building works next door. As we were prepared for this (they started 8am promptly Mon-Fri), also ants (which didn't show up) and the racoon in the bins (which did show up) none of this was an issue, and was reflected in the reduced rental. Sean was an excellent host, replied speedily to any queries, including calling a plumber for a minor problem. The cottage is the most homely of places, there's everything you could need, the kitchen is generously equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The pretty patio is full of flowers and birds. Since it was April, we were not outside in the evenings, but it seems noise is an issue with neighbours. There are polite but firm notices requesting no outside noise after 9pm which could be difficult on hot summer evenings. This was one of our favourite Airbnbs, the location is fabulous, so much to do, we were busy all the time

I can’t boast about this place enough. Holly went above and beyond to communicate with me. She gave lots of recommendations for food places. We tried Manuel’s, Venus, Pizza my Heart, and The Hideout. Hands down, hideout was my favorite! The home was BEAUTIFUL! Literally, a dream! Our kids (12 & 7) loved it too. We celebrated my son’s 7th bday there. We beached every single day! Their home was beautiful, clean, and magical. The hubby and I slept with the doors cracked open upstairs and literally fell asleep and woke up to the crashing waves. Walk across the street and you’re on the beach! It was heaven. I told my family I was depressed coming back home. HA! The backyard was darling! The lights were my favorite & I didn’t realize there was a little sandpit. Such a great gem. We were welcomed with a basket too. Filled with local bread, taffy (my fav), cookies, wine and coffee; Even with a hand written note. I can’t wait to book their home again. It was a dream. Thank you for having us!!

Cute little home in quiet neighborhood, about a mile from downtown Capitola. We were there for a family wedding so didn’t take advantage of all of the amenities, but the kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels for bathrooms, nice backyard space, and even an iron which came in handy day of event. Host was very responsive and even checked in while we were there to see if there was anything we needed.

Dean’s place was great in terms of location, size and privacy. We’re familiar with pacific grove/monterey area so we knew what we were looking for. The house has (2) bathrooms which is great and appreciated as (1) bathroom abnb in the area are commonplace but with more than 3 people it’s great to have 2. House is located directly across from ocean walking path. You cross street and you are on the water-10 min walk to aquarium, cannery row, 10 min walk the other direction and you’re at lovers point restaurant. 10 min walk to downtown PG for many restaurants. Clean house, would stay there again for sure. Wife and I were there this time with 17yo nephew, 14yo and 12 yo sons. Plenty of space.

The place is beautiful and only steps away from a beautiful spot on the beach. Two of the rooms have a beautiful patio that provides an look into the ocean. The parking was a little bit difficult just because it is street parking and if you go on a crowded day you may have to circle around a couple times to get an open spot. The host was very kind and answered texts very quickly. I would stay here again in the future for sure.

The cottage was extremely cozy and comfortable for our family of 3 (with a 5 y/o kid). 5 minutes away from a gorgeous ocean with a little private lagoon, very friendly and clean neighborhood. It is really a gem! Carolyn was super nice, sending us local recommendations and tips about the place and surrounding areas. Totally looking forward to coming there again and recommending others to check this place out!

We had two families with young kiddos and Kate's place was perfect for our weekend stay. The driveway is a bit narrow, and the street you enter from can be busy due to beach traffic, but it's totally worth the effort. Once you're in the Kate's Airbnb, you feel comfortable and relaxed, with the beach and the ocean visible from the front of the house and the front yard that was perfect for the kiddos to hangout in. Kate was super responsive and incredibly pleasant and made our stay as comfortable as can be. We love visiting Santa Cruz and will definitely keep Kate's beach house on our list of places to stay the next time we're in town!

The place was very clean, comfortable and well located to do lots of fun stuff, near the village/ downtown and near a great walking / view area at Los lobos, as well as 17 mile drive.

We had a family vacation and wanted a place where we could walk to the beach and back since we had elderly and a toddler in our party. The house was perfect for that. There was a crib and toys and books which we got to use with our daughter. The internet connection was non existent (it would say connected and say no connection) but we didn’t mind much as we were just there for vacation and didn’t need constant access to internet. Overall, our family had a wonderful time and made good memories.

This place was exactly what my family needed for our beach getaway! The layout of the house is so cozy and it felt like a home away from home. The 180’ of ocean views was truly amazing. We watched a pod of humpback whales go back and forth throughout the day and got to watch a feeding frenzy of thousands of birds all from the balcony! We drove 20 minutes to Henry Cowell Redwoods State park and walked around Pacific Ave in Santa Cruz. From the spot we walked to the beach (with all our boogie boards, sand toys, towels, umbrella, etc.), took advantage of Venus’ happy hour and really didn’t need to use our car for two days! This will definitely be a spot we stay at again!

We had a lovely stay at Ken’s beautiful home in Santa Cruz. The location was an easy walk to the beach and a short drive to the Boardwalk. Ken was easy to communicate with. Overall a great spot! Will definitely be back!

Wonderful host and an ideal place in a very quiet neighborhood with friendly and helpful neighbors. The provided area guides and home instructions were extremely helpful and the provided beach supplies were ideal to keep our personal packing nice and light! Would definitely stay here again ⛱️👍🌊

The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

As mentioned by others, the place is super comfortable, has a lot of amenities and is super close to the boardwalk and the downtown area. However, what really stood out to us was the host’s hospitality. They were super accommodating when we mentioned we’d be getting to Santa Cruz a little early and if we could use the bikes to go cruise around in the meantime. We only stayed for one night, but were able to enjoy a full day of fun because of that. We rode to Brommer park, played pickleball, went back to check in, headed out to eat, walked around and then went back to enjoy the spa and ping pong table. The whole house was spacious and the beds were super comfortable. Definitely recommend David’s place.

You will not regret staying here. Debra and David were so incredibly nice. The house and the outdoors/garden are beautiful. We loved the hot tub being off the master suite and the fact there are no neighbors so it’s incredibly quiet. It’s in a great location near both downtown and the fairgrounds. We can’t wait to return. We might need to add more nights because we had such a fantastic time. Thanks Debra. So great to meet you and David!!

My family and I spent a fantastic week at Jackie's house. Sunny, comfy, and well-equipped with everything visitors might need, the house is a perfect spot to start and end a day of exploring beautiful Santa Cruz. We hope to return!

Had a beautiful stay here. Home is beautiful looks just like pictures . Has everything you need !! Great kitchen beds are comfortable. Linens are great.!! I would just say the driveway is very steep if you drive a low profile car like I do I couldn’t go up the driveway but there’s plenty of parking down below. My son does have mobility issues, but he was able to manage. Thank you again for everything. 😊😊

I couldn't be more happy about this place. The location was great for the four of us for our three-day stay. And Carolyn seems to have thought about everything anyone might like to have or use during a stay. The nice laundry room in the detached garage was a nice surprise to someone who doesn't read the details enough ahead of time. The place was very clean and quality furnished. The house is set back from the street with lots of trees and shrubs, and while there are neighbors, I guess the lots are big, making the place feel very private, while at the same time being close to places to shop up and down the street.
