Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Marathon

Absolutely loved the beautiful cottage and gardens.

Great stay in “downtown” Alpine. Walkable to everything. This unit is attached to another unit and on the same lot as 2 additional units, but it still felt very private. The space is well decorated and had everything you could need. Very quiet area. Covered parking was a great addition. We’ll be back!

The apartment captures the spirit of Marfa perfectly. I had a fun time exploring all of the quirky details in and around the apartment. It's just far enough to feel private and isolated, but close enough to feel "in town." The bed was super comfortable and I loved the linens and pillows. I enjoyed the locally roasted coffee, too! It was a perfect last-minute stop after staying in Big Bend.

We have stayed at this location several times and Karen does a wonderful job of making everything so comfortable and accommodating. There is nothing she hasn’t thought of. We enjoyed the comfortable bed, private courtyard and the nice roomy space. We actually asked for extra days and she was very easy to work with. We will definitely return.

We had a great time during our stay! Got to enjoy the little cowboy pool to help with the scorching heat in Marfa! The nights are super quiet and dark you get to appreciate the starry sky.

Like a home away from home! Very nice decor. Special extras like coffee, biscotti, and cookies were quite a treat. Wonderful experience.

This was a lovely place for our vacation in the area. It offered all the amenities we needed for our 12 day trip. The garden area offered a beautiful place to relax and eat alfresco. The host couple was warm and friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Nopal Suite. I was in town for the Spirits of the West Festival and Karen’s place was perfect for me. The apartment is thoughtfully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It has all of the amenities a person could need. I would definitely stay here again!

This eclectic place was exactly as described. Random deco that fits the location “almost in the middle of nowhere “! But well appointed for guests! Comfortable beds. Stocked kitchen , including bottled water, coffee and more. The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries! Little things also, like plug adapters for devices, extra outlets, lighting and books aplenty about the region. Super helpful. The directions and photos to the home provided were helpful- the GPS had no idea!! Marathon is pretty tiny and John’s tips for food were great. The direct path to Big Bend and Panther Village visitor Center made our morning starts very smooth. Couple other pluses: the back porch breeze, stars and the lightning show…. Impressive! Memorable stay!

Very comfortable, roomy and impeccably clean accommodations in a beautiful part of the country. Russell is a great and thoughtful host.

This is a great home base when visiting West Texas. We walked to a local coffee shop each morning, enjoyed sitting on the front porch, cooked meals in the well stocked kitchen, and enjoyed the screened in porch at night! Holly’s place was comfortable, clean, well stocked, and provided a wonderful place for our family to stay.

My family of three shared Jessica’s place with my brother and sister in-law’s family of four and in the words of my sister-law, “This was the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had!” The location was walkable (even for tiny legs) to all the stores and eateries. The house had plenty of space for family game night, cookouts, and even a laundry room for after swimming at Balmorhea. The split floor plan was excellent to give each family privacy and my baby wouldn’t wake the whole house up in the middle of the night. I must also include we got on the road early and energized because we weren’t running around ragged with a lot of check out procedures and cleaning. Leaving was so quick and simple! Jessica’s place is a STEAL OF A DEAL and an Airbnb dream.

This home was very comfortable for our family of five - plenty of room, and it was easy to make meals during our stay. The a/c had an issue, so it got a little warm, but they took care of it right away and it was working again before the day was through. Impressive that they could find someone in such a remote area to take care of it on a Friday night! Has a washer and dryer as well as a dishwasher. The house was what I expected based on the photos and description, and was much more spacious than a hotel room. Everyone we had contact with was very nice. Would definitely recommend it to others, and I would stay again!

Had a great time staying here on our traveling family adventure. Beautiful scenery around making this a perfect spot to stay and visit the surrounding areas.
