Simple overnight stay in scenic surroundings - close to the E4an

Are you heading north or south in the land and needs a place to stay overnight? Just 10 minutes away from the E4 you will find this peaceful place in nature, at our retreat center. In our large hall, we rent out two simple rooms with place for a total of five people. An outdoor toilet is located 10 meters from the rooms. Bathroom with shower is available during the summer, from mid-May to September. Kitchen is not available. If you wish breakfast or dinner we can arrange it. No smokers please. Most welcome to us!

Small cottage in the countryside

A small cosy cottage on the countryside, in summer surrounded by fields, cows, vegetable land and wheat field. In the winter you have a beautiful view of the landscape. In the cabin, there is a wood stove, and there is wood, the kitchen is built, and there is also a newly built bathroom. Ej dusch och toalett inne men har en nybyggd utedusch samt fräscht utedass.

Gammelgården is located in a nice village called Övermyra/Österberg, 2km east of Storvik. Distance to nearby towns is Sandviken 13 km, Kungsberget 18 km, Gävle 36 km. Bus stop 4 min walk. The house is timbered in Ottsjö Jämtland and was saved from the death of the wastehouse when it was moved here. The decor is unique with Swedish historical furniture and objects. Newly renovated, fully equipped apartment, in an old house from 1873. 3,5 km to a little, nice beach. Good location for day trips to Stockholm, Uppsala, Gävle, the sea and ironworks villages. You can borrow a bike for free. This is the place for those who are looking for a relaxing environment in the country.

The cottage (‘härbre’ in Swedish) is one of several small outbuildings in a picturesque setting. The building is from the 19th century. The lower floor has been carefully renovated using traditional building preservation methods. There is a kitchenette with cold water, a fridge and a hob. The outdoor toilet is just a few steps away. The shower is in the main building. The forest is just around the corner with good opportunities for shorter or longer walks. Free parking.
