Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mangorei

Beautiful location and sea views with access through 2 gates taking you to the rocky bay. Huge fully fenced yard great for our dog Judge and our 3 year old son. The chest of games and toys went down a treat for both and the 3 bdrm house had everything we could need for a weekend get away. The house was also lovely and warm AND we could see the mountain from the entrance way. Would definitely come back again. Thanks for having us, great hosts!

Absolutely loved our stay. Plenty of room, lovely home backed right on the beach. Didnt even mind that one day was horrible weather, was cosy to stay in and play with the board games. Cant wait to book again.

We had a truly lovely stay at Linda’s place! The house was warm, clean, and beautifully prepared, it even smelled amazing when we arrived. Linda was a kind and thoughtful host with clear communication. The location was peaceful yet convenient for exploring New Plymouth, and of course we absolutely adored Puss Puss - the friendliest little cat who brought us so much joy. Highly recommend to anyone visiting New Plymouth🥰

This property and host is AWESOME! The property exceeded all expectations and is even better than the photos. The house is beautiful. It is spacious, spotlessly clean and has luxury finishes. The kitchen is huge and has all amenities you could need. The beds were so comfortable. The location is also so convenient to all major sites. Stay here … you won’t be sorry!! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay, the home was warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Jennie was the perfect host, greeting us upon arrival and keeping in touch. Fabulous place to stay, very comfortable beds, full kitchen and great space to relax in. Hosts left great instructions, no issues with anything all weekend. Easy walk to the coastal path and to town, thermal pools over the road were amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to spend some time in New Plymouth.

If I could rate this place more stars, I would do it. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had with Airbnb. Not just because the place was absolutely awesome, but Janet was a great host as well. We are already planning on staying here again in the future. Can’t find a single negative thing to say about this beautiful home. We will definitely try to stay again here when we are around this area. Highly recommended

We came down from Auckland for the International Female Riders Day (motorbikes) and the unit exceeded expectations. Clean, bright and modern with super comfy beds and a lovely big outdoor seating area, with gorgeous views overlooking the ocean. It is alot bigger than expected, with full kitchen and a fabulous bathroom. Plenty of parking space. The location was private and off the main roads, which meant we didn't have to worry about the security of our motorbikes. Wendy was a great host, and I would recommend this airbnb to anyone without hesitation.

Loved our stay at Sue’s place. It is very spacious and had everything we needed. We especially loved the living area where we stayed most of the time watching movies. Sue provided breakfast food which was a pleasant surprise and we greatly appreciated that. Definitely recommended!

Lois was a tremendous host. We had the most wonderful stay and were so grateful for her making sure we were comfortable and she even left us milk and made biscuits for us. Oakura is beautiful to visit and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thank you Lois!

Absolutely lovely! Close to the centre of New Plymouth yet well back from the street, quiet and private. The outside sitting area looks out over the Te Henui bush, the walkway being easily accessible at nearby entry points. The property itself is comfortable, well appointed and tastefully decorated. Could not ask for more!

What a relaxing and peaceful few days break at this beautiful accomodation. Waking up to the sounds of the waves, sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view we couldn’t have had a more enjoyable stay. You won’t find many places like this in the world and we look forward to coming back sometime soon.

Rachel’s place was lovely. Spotlessly clean with plenty of towels and a well-equipped kitchen. Loved the espresso maker and the coffee provided, as well as the selection of tea. It was really quick and easy to get down to the coastal path and bike or walk into town or the other way. Highly recommended.

My stay at Jennifer's was wonderful! She is so kind and welcoming. The place was comfortable and got full day sun which was perfect for reading. Jennifer had great recommendations of coffee, food and shops, and was great to chat with. Highly recommend!

I had a lovely stay in this spacious and beautifully decorated apartment. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, and the kitchen was spotlessly clean. The location is fantastic – just a short walk to downtown New Plymouth, with great cafés, restaurants, shops, and the beautiful Coastal Walkway nearby. The apartment is on the ground floor of an older building with multiple residents, so it felt a bit chilly and dim at times during my autumn visit. Occasionally, you can hear some noise from neighbors, which is to be expected in a shared building. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there!

What a great & groovy place to stay! Friendly hosts & a very welcoming space to spend a couple of nights. Lovingly appointed with curios & comforts we nearly traded our sightseeing to just hang out. The back yard is literally backing onto lush sub-tropical forest yet so close to the CBD. A very easy adventure was to hire Martin’s E-bikes. Wonderful to spend 3 hours riding in a city yet hardly needing to cross roads & traffic. Exceptional bikeways along streams, through parks, beautiful gardens & along the coast. Our stay couldn’t have been better. Huatoki Hideaway is a gem!

We are travelling to NP multiple times a year and I wished, we would have discovered July’s place earlier. For sure our “home away from home” whenever we are in town from now onwards. Excellent location oy a few metres from town centre, large supermarket 200m away, close to the water front. Spotless clean appartment, well thought of amenities, full size kitchen, fast wifi and satellite TV. July has been a great host and super easy to communicate with prior arrival. What else to say…we will be back and can highly recommend July’s place for anyone looking for a “gem” in New Plymouth.
