Fletcher Bay Garden Retreat

This private and completely separate 300 square foot space is located 100 feet behind the main residence. Enveloped by mature forest, you feel as though you are staying in a treehouse. The loft features hardwood floors, internet, queen sized bed, cozy sitting area and kitchenette. Marj's attention to detail and love of vintage finds is evident in the charming and welcoming space. Relax and listen to the water trickling in the pond outside your room. The loft comfortably accommodates singles, couples, children or a third adult. We accept up to two dogs but ask that they not be left unattended in the bnb unless they are crated. We also ask that you keep them off the bed and other furniture. Amenities: The loft comes equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig coffeemaker, hot water kettle, and mini-fridge and is stocked with coffee, tea, yogurt and granola. There is a comfy queen-size bed and also a twin blow up Serta mattress with an internal pump that maintains pressure at your desired comfort setting. You can work or eat at an expandable table that has two comfy chairs. Internet tv is also provided. Luggage racks and an ironing board are stored in the closet. Wander this beautiful property and explore the unique and exotic garden offerings. You’re welcome to schedule a private tour of the grounds with Nick, owner and lead gardener. Your privacy is respected. You can remain quietly nestled in your getaway, and come and go as you please. Fletcher Bay Garden Retreat is located in the center of Bainbridge Island, about 10 minutes drive from the ferry terminal. It is minutes from Pleasant Beach Village and the newly renovated Lynnwood Center including the Tree House Café and Historic Lynnwood Theatre. The Village includes fun shops, a wine bar and various restaurants including the lovely Beach House Restaurant. Near and dear to all Islanders hearts, is Walt’s Grocery where you can pick up necessities and sample Walt’s home beer brews and large selection of wines. If you care to venture further, you can visit the Grand Forest, acclaimed Bloedel Reserve, golf courses, quaint downtown Bainbridge Island and the new and highly acclaimed Bainbridge Island Museum of Art. Nearby towns include Poulsbo and Port Townsend where more shopping, touring and eating are plentiful. And of course, Seattle is only a 35 minute ferry ride away! Drive on the boat or arrive from the Kitsap Peninsula. If you don’t want to hassle with a car, grab a taxi from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal or ride your bike (storage is available). Eats Your hosts will make sure your place has a few breakfast basics for your morning including coffee fixings, granola and yogurt. You can plan your day while sipping your morning coffee!

Our stay was amazing! Although we stayed for only a few days, the experience would be unforgettable. The beach was small but productive- we got three buckets of clams in just a few minutes. The downstairs couch, which transforms into a usable bed, is useful for a big family. On its own, there’s already an exceptional amount of prepared amenities. Not to mention, waking up early enough, you can catch a glimpse of the amazing view of the sunrise. Sometimes just looking at the owner can change your view of the whole trip. In our case, Renee, the owner, was always in contact with us and communicating. She gave detailed descriptions of how to check in and check out. If we had any questions she’d always answer kindly. This changed our vacation, too. Having this vacation house for the weekend was an incredible opportunity, and I highly recommend this house, short stay or not!

This was the best airbnb experience we have had, the place was very nice, accommodations were exactly as pictured, this is truly a "peace garden" which has been lovingly cared for and nurtured, our host was absolutely kind and proactive around any questions or circumstances around our travel and stay. We will absolutely seek this location and host again when we are in the area, can't put enough stars on the review to express our gratitude for a wonderful location and host.

The space was great for me and the view amazing. David pointed out access to the high speed passenger ferry- 30 minutes to downtown for $12 round trip. Entry is accurately described as through the garage but I didn’t mind. Everything was very clean. Good walking on the road around an estuary. Grocery store at the ferry is small but actually well stocked with a good variety.

Melissa’s place was amazing for my daughter’s birthday trip. It was so comfortable for our family of 10 and everyone enjoyed the hot tub as well as the beach. It was so a great stay with great memories. Thank you to Melissa and team for providing us with a nice space to enjoy our family:) 100/100 recommend Melissa and team responded fast and helped us so much with things like the ferry and places to go or do thank you 🙏🏼

Light-filled Lake House

The “light filled Lake house” was exactly that and more. Extremely comfortable beds and living area. We were able to have our family visit us and enjoy a meal together because the kitchen had absolutely everything you could possibly need to make a meal. This home is very private and peaceful so a vehicle is necessary to get out and about for daily activities other than spending a day by the lake which is right outside the back door. Kristine had coffee, trash bags, sandwich bags and other necessities available that we did not expect, which was a pleasant surprise. The Kayaks are not available in the Winter which is understandable, however our days were busy visiting family and sight seeing. Gig harbor (gorgeous!) 20 mins drive away. Seattle, one hour away with a thoroughly enjoyed Ferry ride. We highly recommend this home as your accommodations.
