Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Mainz

This is an adorable cottage managed by lovely people. Thanks to Stephen, his partner, and his mother for their gracious hospitality! I am very grateful. This is a historic half-timber home with wood floors and stairs, high upstairs ceilings, and an updated interior. We found the bedding comfortable with bedroom blinds adjustable for sleep promotion, kitchen and bathrooms clean and stocked, patio delightful with sun and bird songs, and overall decor attractive and soothing. The air temperature is adjustable in the bedrooms and living room with both cooling and heating options. The coffee maker is a Nespresso type, and we appreciated the basketful of coffee pods and bottle of wine upon entry! This home is in a peaceful and safe location behind a locked gate with both the owner and the owner's mother to each side. The S-Bahn stop is a short walk away and will take you to central Frankfurt including Romer (download the RMVgo app to buy and load train tickets).

The fisherman's house in Kaub is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. Dirk is a super nice host and provided us with a lot of practical information and greeted us personally upon arrival. The cottage is lovingly renovated and every room tells history(s). You can feel that every item is not in place for no reason and that there is a reminder of this. We loved spending time here. A bit like in a museum and yet you don't feel like you can't move freely and live in the house. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy the outdoor seating with a glass of wine in the evening after hiking. The Rhine Valley is particularly beautiful at this point, so the accommodation is the ideal base camp for hiking in the area. We would come back any time!

Stephanie’s place is the prettiest and loveliest Airbnb we’ve stayed in to date. The pictures accurately represent how beautiful her home is. It’s incredibly homey, with all the touches that make it feel like you’re coming back to a home after a full day out. The view of the horse farm is so nice to observe while having breakfast in the mornings. And the backyard was lovely to have a beer in the afternoon while listening to the sounds of nature. The location was nice as it was away from the center of everything so we had a reprieve from the business of it all. It was a great location to explore so many towns in the Rhine. Stephanie’s recommendations were so helpful too (loved the winery/wine bar that’s just 5 min from the house!) I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this place. The natural lighting, the space, I could go on and on!

We had an all-around super nice stay - the house is tastefully decorated, very clean and quiet. The cozy courtyard with barbecue facilities was a highlight. Communication with the host was straightforward and super friendly! Absolutely recommended- we'd love to come back!

We, three friends, had a wonderful weekend in the apartment. Each had their own beautiful bedroom, which could be darkened with shutters. The apartment is spacious, modernly furnished and really clean. The bell is attached to one of the mailboxes in the yard. From the beautiful surroundings we liked the monastery Disibodenberg most, or its remains with its long history, the almost mystical atmosphere and the great views.

I cannot say enough good things about Sarah & Lars and about their house. We were able to drive to many activities and yet were far enough away to enjoy peaceful evenings in the garden and on the porch. The black out blinds/curtains and insulation allowed us all to sleep soundly. We cooked every night in the kitchen and usually sat upstairs on the porch for an after dinner drink. They provided wonderful directions, recommendations and promptly responded to every inquiry. The fresh eggs in the morning were so wonderful. It was fun to sit and listen to the chickens and frogs. The house was spotless and the welcome bottle of wine was truly appreciated. The house was spotless. You will not be disappointed.

This place was so quiet and peaceful yet so easy to get to the Frankfurt am Main Airport from it! We were well-rested and calm from staying here before a 9 hour flight. Also, loved all the birds and nature in their beautiful garden! Thanks for such a great stay!

We had a great three-day stay in Svenja's apartment. Communication with Svenja and Eva was extremely friendly, courteous and uncomplicated. The small apartment is very lovingly furnished and everything you need is there. Very clean and a great location in the old town. We'll be back for sure!

Good as many times before.

Taso’s place was very pleasant to stay at, full of light, cozy and efficiently furnished. The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine made the place great for longer stays. Taso was very responsive and accommodating. Would gladly book again.

We had a wonderful week in the nice, well-equipped apartment of Rosi and Wolfgang. The apartment is located directly on the Rhine cycle path, so we could explore the beautiful landscape on the Rhine and Nahe by bike. Rosi and Wolfgang lived above our apartment and were always available and very helpful in every situation. They had good tips for our excursions. We highly recommend the address. Thanks again for saving us from the storm!

We had a great stay at Erika's place. It felt very cozy and home-like, and we particulalrly appreciated that the apartment stayed cool even during the very hot days. It was also nice to have access to the garden full of roses in bloom!

Good location - plenty of space - good surroundings

Tobias’ charming Airbnb was perfect for us! This newly renovated, sparkling clean apartment is in the heart of the suburb of Mainz-Gonsenheim. We enjoyed the excellent public transportation and the free covered parking spot. Breite Straße offers a fantastic selection of bakeries, a butcher shop, various retail stores, pharmacies, grocery stores and restaurants - all within walking distance. We especially loved the “Bürgerhof” (on the ground floor of the same building) with its friendly and welcoming atmosphere and its delicious choices of traditional German fare! At night, the surroundings were peaceful and quiet and we appreciated the comfortable bed. Tobias is an incredibly attentive and responsive host. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

We loved our stay at Isabel’s! The apartment is so cute and has all the kitchen appliances one could need, and the block has so many nice restaurants and cafes.

Arrive and feel good! A fantastically beautiful old apartment. The high rooms and the tasteful furnishings - simply great. The old town is in walking distance. The communication with Myriam and Olli was great. They always responded very quickly and in a friendly manner. I enjoyed the stay very much! Love to come back!!!

Very nice, modern apartment in a fantastic location adjacent to the vineyards. We felt very comfortable with our 8-year-old daughter and also enjoyed the terrace and garden. Very friendly hosts with great tips - thank you, we will be happy to come back!
