Take it easy at this secluded, waterfront cabin near beautiful Magnolia Beach. Fish or launch kayaks from your front yard. This rustic property is located down a dirt road that can be very difficult to access when it rains a lot. 4x4 vehicles recommend. During dry times, the road is fine. Wildlife of all kinds are sometimes seen, many species of birds, bobcat, deer, and sometimes snakes. Alligators live in Old Town Lake, much like any body of water in South Texas. Swimming not recommended.

This home has its own private beach (this is a shell beach, not like a gulf beach), immediately adjacent to Magnolia Beach Park. Only 200 yards from the boat ramp, this cozy cottage has amazing views of Matagorda Bay with a patio to enjoy the sunrise. Five miles down Magnolia Beach is Indianola Fishing Marina, which has a bar and restaurant with great food, and a fishing dock.

Your days will start with colorful Matagorda Bay sunrises and equally spectacular Powder horn Lake sunsets. The 360 degree views from the crow's-nest, are a favorite for bird and dolphin watching. Fish the bay out front or lake in the back. Just a few yards away, the Indianola Courthouse monument and Cistern monument are remainders of the catastrophic hurricanes of historic Indianola.

We enjoyed our stay here, it was so peaceful and quiet. Our kids loved hanging out on the dock on the river and enjoyed seeing the fish jump up out of the water. We would definitely suggest bug spray because the mosquitoes are no joke but worth the risk for this riverside experience. Corrine was very communicative and welcoming. She really helped make our first Airbnb stay seamless and comfortable. We will definitely be booking with her in the future and recommending her listings to others!

Our group of six was in need of a place to stay ASAP. I’m so glad Summer‘s place was available. I booked it without really getting to see pictures because I didn’t have the greatest cell service. Everybody thought it was perfect. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms, room for everyone. Nice big dining table to gather around. Everything you might need in the kitchen. As soon as it was ready,Summer let me know we could check in a little early. Thankful it turned out and that it exceeded our expectations.
