Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Madeira Island

We just finished 2 magical days at Patricia’s home and cannot say enough incredible things of her place. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL, with an amazing pool and jaw dropping views. In addition to this she was so accommodating to us and made sure we were comfortable the entire time!!! Uber’s and Bolt’s are easy to call and extremely affordable. We did not want to leave and are already planning our next trip to her home!!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Wohnung. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. José war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Über die frischen Eier und das Gemüse haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Sehr Empfehlenswert!

Ein sehr hübsches und gemütliches Apartment. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist hervorzuheben, da fehlte nichts. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse über die Stadt zum Meer war auch schön.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely perfect! We were so impressed by the peaceful and quiet location, which allowed for a truly relaxing getaway. The property itself was of exceptionally high quality and very well-furnished, making us feel right at home. We genuinely had everything we needed and more. The heated pool and whirlpool were a fantastic bonus, providing a luxurious touch. To top it all off, our host, Jorge, was incredibly responsive and friendly, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

Absolutely loved our stay here for the week! We loved the ability to walk into town and grab food at any time. We found a number of great restaurants! We also loved being within the energy of the town of Camara De Lobos. It was very warm, welcoming, and vibrant. We loved the home and felt it was clean, beautiful, and the perfect opportunity to slow down life and enjoy the sound of the ocean. The breeze was able to keep us cool (mid February visit for us), the sound of the ocean helped us drift off peacefully, and we enjoyed the opportunity to lounge in the sun on the many decks available. Parking was simple and free right around the house. We had very prompt communication and felt very supported. Overall the location was a great spot to adventure to the rest of the island. If we ever return to Madeira this is where we will be staying!

Die gemütliche Unterkunft war sehr ruhig gelegen am oberen Ortsende. Die Aussicht war wunderschön. Zu Fuß konnte man die Bar Picadinho erreichen. Hier gibt es guten Kaffee, leckeren Poncha und allerhand zu essen. Daneben liegt eine Poncha-Bar. Für alles andere benötigt man ein Auto. An den rauchigen Geruch haben wir uns schnell gewöhnt. Da wir nur vier Tage dort waren, haben wir Johnny (sehr freundlich und prima erreichbar) nicht gefragt, ob es eine Möglichkeit gegeben hätte, das Duschwasser etwas wärmer zu bekommen. Es war nicht kalt, aber für unser Empfinden hätten es ein paar Grad mehr sein dürfen… Alles in Allem gemütlicher Aufenthalt. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Die Unterkunft war wunderschön an einer sehr ruhigen Lage mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht. Es war alles sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet damit man sich ab dem ersten Moment nur wohlfühlen kann. Es hatte alles was man braucht, auch super fanden wir die vielen Küchenuntensilien und der Grill, den wir jeden Tag benutzten. Die Terrasse mit Whirpool,Lounge,Liegen und Tisch waren das Highlight. Wir verbrachten viel Zeit in der Unterkunft, weil wir uns so wohl gefühlt haben. Der Strand Calheta ist 5min mitem Auto einfach zu erreichen und sehr empfehlenswert. Auch fanden wir den Privatparkplatz super. Bruno und Maria sind sehr zuvorkommend und fragten auch nach wie es uns geht und ob wir etwas brauchen. Die Lage war für uns perfekt, sehr ruhig, viel privatsphäre und doch gelangen wir mitem Auto überall hin. Vielen herzlichen Dank an Bruno und Maria. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. we hebben 10 nachten verbleven in het appartement van Mara, een groot mooi en heel proper appartement op de 5de verdieping wat zorgd voor een mooi uitzicht op zee.Mara reageerde altijd en zeer snel, ik kan het appartement in Santa Cruz zeer aanbevelen en ligt vlak bij de luchthaven .Santa Cruz is een aangenaam klein stadje met een ontspanne sfeer, een aanrader voor wie niet van de drukte van BV Funchal houd.

Super séjour à Madère dans un logement plutôt bien situé, calme et paisible avec une vue extraordinaire. Hote bienveillant, réponds aux demande et très bon accueil. Je recommande vivement ce logement.

The #1 thing that stood out for me was how incredibly responsive and professional these hosts are. Some of the best I've ever had. Excellent communication, as flexible as they could be, and just really lovely people. The location of this apartment was absolutely incredible, the best that one could have hoped for, and spotlessly clean. It was quite cozy but really had everything I needed. It is on the top floor and the elevator wasn't working, which I wish I had known because I would have packed differently, but in the end it was 10 minutes of inconvenience for a fantastic stay. a highly recommend for me

à notre arrivée nous avons été très bien accueilli par Ana. Elle nous a tout expliqué et nous avons même pu arriver un peu en avance dans l'appartement. Elle nous a donné des conseils de visite, de restaurant, et aussi elle nous a indiqué le supermarché le plus proche. Ana a été au top !!! L'appartement est parfait, il y a tout ce qu'il faut même encore plus que ce qu'on avait imaginé. Merci pour tout! Nous avons pu profiter à fond de cette île magnifique . Et Gabriel a passer quasiment toute ses soirées dans la piscine 😄 merci encore de notre part à tous les 3

The apartment is nice and clean , lots of restaurants there parking paid on street. Close to Funchal easy if you have car on hire

Manuel hat uns persönlich vom Ortszentrum abgeholt und uns mit dem Gepäck geholfen. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und würden jederzeit gerne wieder unseren Urlaub im Oceanic-Appartement verbringen.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Unterkunft. Tolle Lage mit einer sehr schönen Aussicht auf den Ozean. Der Pool war groß und sauber, der Garten war super gepflegt. Das Appartement ist sehr schön geschnitten und geschmackvoll und praktisch eingerichtet. Alles, was für einen Urlaub notwendig ist, war vorhanden. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig am Ortsrand. In unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft befindet sich ein Tümpel mit Kröten und Fröschen, die insbesondere Nachts für eine gewisse Geräuschkulisse sorgen können, dass kann als störend empfunden werden. Alles in allem eine klare Empfehlung für eine erholsamen Urlaub!

Danke an Joana und Juan für den herzlichen Empfang in eurer Unterkunft. Die lokalen Tipps von Juan waren toll und das Appartement hat alles, was man braucht. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend und alles ist in bestem Zustand. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

A lovely apartment: convenient, well-situated and pleasant views. Good location if you have a hire car; Funchal isn’t far at all, and there are many local shops and restaurants. Host-wise, unless you speak a little Portuguese, it can be slightly difficult; Jose is happy to call and speak for his mother. Very friendly and welcoming!!!

The apartment was perfect for our family, a great base to explore the island. Well equipped for a family though we only used for breakfast, eating out in the many local restaurants . The bakery downstairs is fabulous , serving breakfast, lunch and snacks..

Can’t recommend enough. Clean, fantastic space, great location. Marina really helpful and always responsive. Well equipped kitchen with everything for meals in but equally a 10 minute drive into Funchal. The view from the apartment is beautiful and the location means everything is easily accessible. Supermarket across the road. We didn’t hire a car because the location was so great.
