Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lycoming County

Our stay at Thorne Haven was exactly what we hoped it would be and then some. The kitchen had everything we needed (even some things we didn't know we needed...impromptu white gravy with the planned breakfast sausage) and the dining room fit us all (with an amazing view)! The guest rooms were comfortable and private, we had lots of "together" space and plenty of opportunity to step away as well. The activities were endless with something for everyone: the game room(s), the movie and/or reading options, board games, the hot tub, the lower deck, large yard for football/Frisbee/tag and the pond! But I think one of our favorite things was being able to have a fire in the main fireplace every day...so cozy and welcoming (suggest bringing a little of your own wood if you keep it going like we did)! Our family had the ideal get away: from the grandparents right down to the grandchildren & grand dogs! Thorne Haven is truly like a home away from home feeling and we will definitely go back.

Loved the location right by the creek. Swimming pool looked great, unfortunately it rained our entire stay. It was nice to be able to go back and unwind after events at Penn State University and Bald Eagle State Park. Close enough to both.

My extended family and I had the pleasure to spend several days at James' house along Pine Creek. The house is situated right along Pine Creek with easy access to the water and lovely outdoor spaces - including a large patio with a firepit and a wrap-around porch. James' has an array of bicycles of various sizes available for use on the Pine Creek Rail Trail, as well as kayaks and canoes available for use on the creek. The interior of the house is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is very large, looks out on Pine Creek, and had more than enough cooking equipment (including a double oven!) for our large family. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and the bathrooms were very clean. There was plenty of towels and linens and there were washer and dryers available. Overall, the entire family was thrilled with the house and enjoyed each day we had there!

My family of 4 had a great stay. We were in town for the World’s End Ultra. The place was convenient for driving to and from World’s End State Park. We had a few delicious meals in Eagles Mere during our stay. My teen boys enjoyed kayaking on the lake. My family and I also enjoyed walks around the lake and sitting around the outdoor fire pit.

From the moment I booked Patricia’s place it was amazing. She was great at communicating, flexible with us checking in early, and made us feel very welcomed. The pictures of her place don’t give you the feeling of spending time here, it’s a magical place. Quiet, peaceful, and tranquil. Torbert village is the best location on pine creek, and her house location is arguably the best located house in the village. I highly recommend her place to anyone. Planning to stay her next summer. Great house with plenty of room for everyone to spread out or gather together. The light that shines through from the huge private back windows is absolutely stunning. The view from the windows, of the trees and the peaceful creek is calming. We will definitely come back next time we visit Williamsport.

Had a great stay at the Blackwell Activity Center! Eric and the co-hosts were excellent to work. Very kind and always responsive. The house was super clean, well organized and had everything we could need for our stay. We made ourselves right at home cooking on the spotless grill and lounging throughout the property. The great room, the backyard and the porch were excellent places to relax and enjoy the peace after a long day biking the trail. The comfortable bed was very much appreciated too. This area is a perfect for nature lovers who want to bike, hike, fish or kayak along Pine Creek. We would definitely like to return and stay here again.

Christina was a great host. Home was spacious loved the layout of home 3rd floor 2 bedrooms 4 bedrooms and full bath on 2nd floor master bedroom with king on 1st floor.

Our stay was enjoyable. Beautiful home with lots of amenities in a picturesque creekside setting. Lots of room for outside activities and we loved being able to have our dog with us during our stay! Dwayne was very responsive and available for any questions. Definitely hope to book again!

The house was great and was a fantastic location! The Loyalsock creek in the backyard was amazing and the kids had a blast fishing! Linda was great to work with, responsive and very proactive about our stay! I would highly recommend this place for a peaceful, relaxing retreat!

Bills cabin in the woods was amazing! We had a group of 10 and there was plenty to keep us busy through the week- paddle boarding & kayaking, ATV use, corn hole / yard games, fire pit, and a fully ready to use kitchen attached to a great outdoor deck and eating area. We spent almost all of our time outside enjoying the lake, sunshine, woods and hot tub. Bill was an excellent host, meeting us the day of check in to give a thorough tour of the property and all the amenities. Sleeping arrangements were great, and the place was thoroughly clean and comfortable. Thanks again for a great stay, Bill!

This place was amazing. It was beyond our expectations for a river house. The house is spacious, well-appointed and pleasurable even when it rains. The wide deck with a view of the river and hillside was relaxing all day, but especially with a cup of coffee in the morning. The hostess was very responsive and accommodating. With a family group this will be a first choice to rent. It was pure relaxation for three days. Thank you Kate.

The place was wonderful for a family location was close by great fishing spots. Kid friendly house great location close by the general store. Spacious rooms! Also because of cell service amber provided a book with menus, phone numbers and nearby stores in a binder. She also went out of her way to make sure check in was successful and kept in touch to see if we needed anything during our stay. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful scenery, super quiet, and very far away from it all … exactly what we wanted.
