Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lucerne

Very nice outhouse a level below the main house. Private entry and exit. Facing a lawn full of roses in all colours and distant greenery. Felt right at home along with kindness and caring nature of Jennifer. Luzern station was just 15 minutes by bus and we faced no challenges in transportation. Place we clean and nice with comfortable bed and nice fixtures. Extremely pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

We really loved getting back home, it was quiet, just like the photos and much more peaceful than the tourist areas. Tricia was the best with her recommendations and adding slight personal touches to the place. It had everything you would need, and the best part it is truly a bed and breakfast, loved meeting Tricia for breakfast and learning so much. If I visit again, which I plan to I would definitely want to stay here.

Fantastic place for excursions to the area full of sights. Ideal place for a vacation in the heat, because in this apartment it was wonderful to cool down.

We had an amazing stay! The view was unbelievably beautiful! The home had all of the amenities we needed and comfortable beds! It was walkable to the bus stop. Yi-Tai and her husband were very responsive and helpful to us!

Adrian's place is stunning. It's a perfect spot for our family vacation- central to all that we wanted to accomplish. Off the beaten path in a very secluded quiet location. Great walks right out the door. Watched a brilliant sunset over Lucerne as we settled in for a fire along the hillside one evening. Enjoyed watching the local Shepard move sheep from one field to another. Adrian was a great host with excellent recommendations and even took the time to show us around the property. We would love to come back again. As commented before- the approach road to the community is very narrow but with a small car you get used to it after a few passes. I came to appreciate it as part of what makes this property extra ordinary and beautiful. Thank you Adrian for opening your home to visitors from Seattle.

Absolutely loved this place! A friend and I were taking a trip around Europe and this was by far our favorite stay! It felt like we were in a family members home - Everything was so cute and cozy. Not to mention the location! It is very walkable and there is a beautiful park a few minutes away! It is also conveniently located near the train station, ferry port, and lots of food and drink places. Elaine was also so kind and helpful. I will definitely be recommending her bnb to anyone I know who is going to Switzerland!

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. Stephen was very responsive and was quick to help us with a family emergency that we had. The accomodations of the home was exactly as desribed. The washer, dryer and all of the amenities were easy to use. We enjoyed how quiet the neighborhood was while still being close to restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend this place. Stephen was an excellent host.

The views from this place are stunning. The house is spacious and homely. Lovely balcony and garden. It has everything you could possibly need. We ate in every evening and the kitchen was very well equipped. The bus was reliable and free with the Guest Pass which was a bonus. It only took 10 mins to get into Luzern, a lovely town. Grocery shops are a little far away so we used the shopping centre at the station. A fantastic base to explore the region... I highly recommend this place.

Honestly, one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed at! Dieter was a really nice host, and checked in to see how we were going. Checking into the apartment was super easy and it was all very clean. The best part of this Airbnb is definitely the location and amenities. If you’re looking for an Airbnb with amazing views from your window, that’s still close to Lucerne city (both walking distance and easy bus access), then this is the one! All the appliances and furniture also seemed brand new, which just added to the really nice feel of the apartment.

The place was just as described — clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. I was able to check in early. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive when I had a quick question. The apartment had everything I needed for my stay. Would stay here again if I visit again!

The apartment is well maintained, spacious and comfortable. Everything is clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped. The host Reto is responsive, and provided all the necessary information in details before check-in. He also checked on us if everything is well during our stay. It was a bit of my concern that the bath tub is a bit slippery as I was travelling with elderly. Reto immediately brought and put an anti-slip mat in the tub the next day to solve the problem. Many thanks to Reto!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Dario's apartment with beautiful views. The apartment is as described and pictured, very clean, sparse decor. Host is helpful & responsive, flexible with check-in which was much appreciated. We had everything we needed (did not cook in) to enjoy our time there, though a couple more comfy chairs on the terrace would be a great addition since that's where you will want to be. Easy to walk into town (uphill to get back but not an issue for us). No a/c and quite warm while we were there, so be advised. Fans provided but no screens on windows so moths/mosquitos have free access. Carpet on stairs is worn but everything was in working order. Coffee, bread, jam, & butter were graciously left for our enjoyment. There was painting happening on the outside of the building, so part of our view was marred with scaffolds, which we did not know about until arrival, but views still amazing! We would certainly recommend this lovely apartment for a great stay.

We enjoyed staying at Tania’s apartment. It is centrally located to everything in Lucerne and very walkable! The entry was seamless (the key box is a little hard to open but just give it a jiggle and it’ll pop open). Overall, great spot!

We had a wonderful stay. René and Regula are excellent hosts: very responsive, and check-in was seamless. Beautiful neighborhood, with the number 10 bus running regularly to town centre. Beautiful views from the kitchen and spotlessly clean. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The host was very understanding, accommodating and flexible. We had to drop off our luggage before check in time as we had excursions planned and the host was super kind to let us leave our luggage in the apartment. The house was spotless, fully renovated with a balcony and laundry was a big plus for us. Bed was super comfortable as well. Really close to the train station about 7-10 mins walk. We had an amazing time and an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the hosts for being so friendly and kind 😊

Ana has a spacious penthouse with a big terrace. The space was clean, had modern furniture, even a clothes drier. Its a short Uber to the center. It is also accessible by the main train station. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes from the main train station to the nearby station and another 5 to 10 minute walk from there. She was responsive and check-in was easy.

We want to sincerely thank Vesko and his lovely wife for their warm and thoughtful hospitality during our stay. A special appreciation goes to his wife for going the extra mile to make us feel so welcome — her kindness truly stood out and made a lasting impression. The house was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay incredibly pleasant and convenient. We truly felt at home and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Our family had a great stay at Tina’s place. The home was clean, well-maintained, and felt very safe. All the necessary amenities were provided, including fresh towels, clean bed sheets, and linens. My daughter especially loved the cozy bunk bed—it was a big hit! We would definitely recommend Tina’s place to anyone who doesn’t mind a short bus ride from the main station.

The place is super clean and modern, fully renovated. Sven was very responsive and brought the items we needed. The unit has laundry downstairs and feels like a home away from home. It is in a very nice neighborhood. While a bit walking distance to the bus station, Uber is super convenient and cheaper than taxi, which we used often. Overall it is a great place!

They stay at Simon's was wonderful. Simon was very helpful and we really liked the flat with the terrace and the view. The kitchen was very well equipped, even with some food that we could take. We would recommend Simon's place to anyone.

This is a lovely property in a beautiful neighborhood. You are just 10 mins away from downtown Lucerne in a quiet neighborhood with gorgeous mountain and meadow views. This place is out of the world good and the owner Thomas and his family is very courteous and friendly. It is absolutely clean in a quite serene environment. You will hear the cows moo in the morning if you step outside. There is a COOP grocery less than 5 min away. Thomas welcomed us and did a walkthrough of the property and explained us all the amenities and how to operate them. The communication was very prompt. He allowed us to check in early and frequently checked in to see if we were comfortable during our stay. They have everything in the kitchen to cook. The big formal living area is huge with beautiful furniture and huge dinning table. The bedroom is quite big with closet space. My trip was made more memorable, thank you for the kind hospitality and wonderful house. We would definitely to come back here soon

Location, location, location!! Clean, easy to come and go within the town. Remi was very responsive and provided lots of local suggestions.
