Great host who responded to any communication swiftly and reassuringly. Property is superb with individual querks which make it unique. Magical information given to us beforehand which was of great value. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Stunning Character Barn with a hot tub

EleanorRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A perfect stay for the family and 2 dogs. The hot tub was set up ready to go which we enjoyed throughout our stay, and we played monopoly on the huge table when it was rainy. Also used the bbq one night and toasted marshmallows on the fire pit. Really lovely and accommodating host. Highly recommend a stay here!

Pippin Cottage

SoniaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Clearly a lot of thought has been put into the cottage. Jane really has thought of everything. The wine and biscuits on arrival was a nice touch. The cottage is set off the main road and is unbelievably quiet. It was lovely watching the lambs in the field at the back. There are plenty of walks right on the doorstep. We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Black Bull. Do check your bill though! We cannot wait to return to Pippin Cottage.

Bumble Cottage - Sedbergh (19 miles to Windermere)

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This Airbnb is wonderful and we would definitely stay again. The location is perfect - within close walking distance to the pubs and restaurants of downtown Sedbergh, yet in a quiet, peaceful spot on the edge of town right on a great walking path. It's also a good location in the sense that it's close enough to the Lake District to use as a base for exploring that area, as well as being in the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The house is clean, well-equipped, and the photos are accurate. It's a very nice place with no real negatives to mention.

The Barn at Blease

JennyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We absolutely loved our stay at The Barn! Joanna was a fantastic host – warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. She greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and gave great local recommendations. She was also really responsive to messages and flexible when we asked about early check-in and late check-out, which made everything so much easier. The Barn itself is even more beautiful than the photos – cosy, spotless, and full of thoughtful touches like bathroom minis, a great selection of books, and fresh apple juice in the mornings. The welcome manual was clear and helpful, although we didn’t need to refer to it much thanks to Joanna’s warm welcome and explanations. The location is perfect for exploring the Lakes, and the peaceful surroundings made for a great night’s sleep. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend staying here – and we’re already hoping to return. Thank you so much Joanna for such a lovely stay!

Stoat Cottage

Our first visit to Lakes and Cottage was absolutely fantastic! The countryside was so peaceful and serene. We had an amazing stay, and Emily was so thoughtful in providing us with an extra foam roller. I had a Fred Whitton event the next day, and it was a lifesaver! Oh, and the home-cooked cookies were absolutely delicious one of the best I’ve ever had! Thanks a million for that. Even our usually fussy cat, Noah, felt right at home. Overall, we highly recommend Lakes and Cottage and can’t wait to come back soon!

Sandbeds Farmhouse

MontezerRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Brian and Diane were incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive throughout. The property itself was phenomenal—immaculately clean, cosy, and peaceful. We stayed here ahead of our hike up Scafell Pike, which was about an hour and a half drive away, but the scenic route made the journey a pleasure. After a long day on the mountain, the place was perfect for rest and recovery before heading home. Highly recommend for anyone exploring the Lake District!

The Wash House - cosy & centrally located bothy

BillRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Very pleased with accommodation and facilities as described - the Wash House was clean and nicely furnished with a wood burning stove if required and table and chairs outside. Great location in the centre of Sedbergh with shops, pubs and food to hand. Beautiful walking country on hills or along the river. Thank you Nicholas for an enjoyable weekend.
