Holiday rentals in Lower Woods Harbour

I cannot say enough good things about our stay at Lois & Dave's Sandy Beach House Loft! My partner and I spent our Christmas holidays in the Loft, and we couldn't have dreamed of a better spot for a more magical trip! We could tell from the moment we walked in that our hosts had gone above and beyond by the welcoming lights of the Christmas tree and decor, a welcome basket of goodies, and a personalized note. The Loft was well equipped with everything you could think of - drip coffee machine, Keurig, toaster oven/air fryer, blender, kettle, all cookware & utensils. The king size bed was extremely comfy with equally as comfy & warm blankets. The hot tub was absolutely perfect - easy to use & re/cover. My favorite moments at the Loft were spending the early mornings watching the sunrise over the ocean from the front room windows. You just can't beat that view! A big thank-you to Lois & Dave. Do yourself a favour & book this spot for your next beach holiday!

Lorette’s place is a tiny slice of heaven. I highly recommend staying here. The house is older but that’s what makes it so wonderful and have such great charm. The house was on a dead end which made it incredibly private and quiet. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful, bright rainbow and we’re treated to our very first time seeing the northern lights!! Rachel, Lorette’s sister was extremely friendly and helpful and they are both there for you if you need anything very responsive. I have to say it again I highly highly recommend staying here and I will definitely be back. If you have children she had such a wonderful stocked location of toys, coloring books sidewalk chalk and for adults plenty of movies and games and crossword puzzles . The backyard was my favorite with the huge deck and the view of the field and path to the water with the beautiful pine trees at the end. I enjoyed every morning with my tea and the birds thank you so much, Lorette!!

A wonderful stay in one of our favourite parts of the province. The place was clean and tidy, equipped with everything you'll need and the beds were all very comfortable - my son was a big fan of the bunk bed. It was also a pleasant surprise for my son to a finda selection of games and kids books, which he made good use of in quieter times. Silka is also quick to respond to any questions you might have, though we had little need of that as all information we needed to enjoy our stay was provided. The location is fantastic. You could easily kill the whole day just hanging out in the back yard, combing the beach, but you're also within striking distance of numerous sandy beaches and coastal communities, so there's plenty of ways to fill your days.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

Nancy and Darren’s place was a slice of paradise. Our 2 big dogs, my husband and myself loved our time at the Red Door Barn. We started our mornings at Louis Head beach, located a short 5 minutes car ride. We had the beach for ourselves and our dogs loved playing fetch on the beautiful stretch of sand. The Red Door Barn is impeccable and Nancy thought of every little detail. It’s beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. And just perfect. We loved the extra dog friendly touches such as the doggie treats, the water bowl, the blankets and the big basket near the door full of little surprises. The kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked Lobster from the Wharf several times during our 12 nights stay. I highly recommend staying at The Red Door Barn. We can’t wait to come back.

Wow! This Airbnb was absolutely gorgeous! Meticulously clean throughout,& the beds were very comfortable.The view outdoors was stunning and our stay could not of been more perfect.. definitely rate it a 10/10!! Thank you so much Kelley for a wonderful night in your beautiful yurt.I surprised my hubby for his 50th bday and it was a hit! He loved it 😁 if you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful retreat this is it!

We came for a week to do a bit of business and a lot of R&R. The home was clean, well furnished and with comfortable beds. Great launch point for day trips and cozy place to wind down in the evenings. Amanda offered clear instructions for getting to and into the house, local requirements for household waste and recycling and was very responsive to texts. Would definitely recommend!
