Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Lower Garden District, New Orleans

Well appointed and comfortable home with nice bed, good water pressure, great AC and friendly, helpful host, living right on the premises. Walkable to great restaurants and bars on Magazine street. About a $15 uber to French Quarter and Marigny.

Not only was this Airbnb one of the most gorgeous and thoughtfully curated that I’ve ever stayed in, but Miranda truly went above and beyond to make us feel at home! Upon arrival, she met us at the property to greet us and had candles lit, lamps on and music was softly playing in the kitchen where chocolates awaited alongside a list of “local favorites.” The space was clean and so well decorated, it felt more like a retreat. Miranda also was sure to check in to make she we had everything we needed! Every detail felt intentional and beautiful. The location was also perfect and we were able to walk to some delicious restaurants and shops. I could sing my praises forever!

Booked Mandie's location for a tenant due to a work project on their rented unit. She enjoyed her stay and stated it was comfortable and clean. Also Mandie responded to all of my questions with the correct information and with timeliness.

Imbrie's place is clean, comfortable and convenient. We felt right at home and especially enjoyed the very comfy bed and the large shower. We didn't have a chance to make a full meal in the house but the kitchen was gorgeous, clean, and featured everything you would need in terms of spices and cookware. All the kitchen appliances seemed to be new as well. New Orleans is a hot and humid city but the bedroom has an excellent ceiling fan and the thermostat and AC were updated and worked great! The neighborhood is quiet and walkable to more restaurants, coffee shops, bars and breweries than we could enjoy even with 8 days in town!

We had a great stay at Jenee’s place - it was a perfect tranquil counterpoint to the quarter and more raucous neighborhoods. You have to be willing to use the ferry to get back and forth , but it’s 1.5 blocks away. There are limited choices for restaurants / attractions , but that is maybe why it’s so charming and perfect. The porch was lovely for coffee and sitting in the evening too for people watching.

The house was beautiful - if anything, I feel like it *exceeded* my expectations. Super spacious, lovingly decorated, all that good stuff. And the location was perfect, too; close to everything you want to be close to, but with enough privacy to get a good night's sleep. But that's just the house itself. Jason & Michelle were INCREDIBLE hosts. Just extraordinarily accommodating/communicative. I had a kinda wacky shipping request (due to my line of work/reason for being there), and Michelle wasn't just "okay with it", she was my dang partner in the whole ordeal. Simply above and beyond. I wouldn't just recommend this spot to a pal; I would chastise them for going elsewhere. 6 stars!!! <3

I had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described in the listing. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. The location was perfect—quiet but still close to everything I needed. The little touches like fresh towels, a well-equipped kitchen, and fast Wi-Fi made the stay even better. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful stay over Memorial Day weekend in the garden district. A block away from magazine Street where there are many shops and places to eat in the area. Very close to the World War II museum, which is a must see when in New Orleans. Sean‘s place was very comfortable very quiet and well located.

The place was very spacious for a group of five. It was clean and everything was within walking distance. The Ac worked great because the trip was definitely hot and humid. Would stay there again.

Brenna & Nick’s place was the perfect home away from home for our party of four. Spacious rooms with modern conveniences and vintage pieces mixing well together. The decor is thoughtful, chic and invokes the spirit of New Orleans without being too precious. High ceilings with fans and AC that kept us cool in the June heat. We didn’t spend much time cooking to be honest. But the space was welcoming with basic cutlery, glasses and dishes available. Lots of seating. Very close to Magazine Street with its antique shops, eclectic bars, various restaurants and just a stroll away from St Charles for the streetcar. Loved sitting on the balcony during the lightening storm watching the rainfall. Truthfully I can’t complain about a single thing other than my visit feeling like it was over too soon. But that’s my own fault. Hopefully I left Brenna & Nick with a good impression and they’ll have me back as a guest. So I can embrace one of my favorite cities again and again!

Very beautiful area of New Orleans with very easy trolley access.

We loved Tim’s place! I work in New Orleans often, and this is one of the most convenient and comfortable homes I’ve Airbnb’d. Tim was helpful and responsive and it’s clear that he puts a ton of work into making folks feel welcome in the crescent city.

Loved my time at this apartment! Super easy to communicate with the host. Very clean place, and it looked exactly like the photos. Great location, walkable to French quarter and also Garden District.

Andrew was a very nice host and the apartment felt clean, safe, and private. It was only a couple minute walk to the trolley which we took into town each day, which saved us the hassle of renting a car. Would stay here again!

Our stay at Katherine's home was wonderful. Close to Magazine Street which has several stores and eateries. A short Lyft ride into the French Quarter. The home had everything we needed. We greatly appreciated Katherine's quick responses and flexibility on early check-in and allowing us to keep our luggage at the home until our evening flight. Thank you so much!!

The place was clean and as described. It was walkable to the French Quarter. I do think it was a little overpriced, considering I looked at the Andrew Jackson hotel and it would have been cheaper to stay there and obviously saved on some walking. They do provide espresso but the coffee is not actual coffee so prepare to buy your own if you like yours black or a full cup. All in all, it was not bad, there are a ton of homeless people and beggars about a block away from the place so be mindful when walking.

Michelle’s place was as advertised with lots of room, clean, relatively quiet for its location and a great Mediterranean restaurant right next door as an extra bonus. Would recommend to anyone looking for a close location to the French Quarter but far enough away from the crowds.

My wife & I stayed at Brad & Ben's loft in downtown New Orleans for a couple of nights while in town for a family wedding. Loved it! Great location near the French Quarter and other local destinations. The loft is very nice, clean and most importantly - great beds & sheets! When in this kind of location and being out & about, that's really the most important thing to get recharged. Very nicely appointed and clean, zero complaints. Brad's communications and instructions were very clear and well organized, making everything simple. Much appreciated and would definitely stay here again.

Jared‘s place was just as described! We enjoyed how close it was and we were able to walk to Bourbon Street, Frenchman Street, and the Civic theater where we saw a concert. We spent enjoyable times inside the place playing cards and cooking meals. I would recommend staying at Jared‘s!

Great location & comfortable space. Beds were very comfortable too! Having access to a parking space in the garage is a huge value add. The neighborhood is central to walking downtown or towards the Garden District. Lots of restaurants, bars & shops close by. We loved it & hope to return.

Had a perfect stay in New Orleans, walking distance from Canal Street, French Quater and other attractions. Host had given us clear instructions for checkin. Apartment had all amenities. Clean Toilet and Cozy beds. Just one things which was not comfortable that was sofa bed. Other then that perfect stay.

This is a lovely spot in a great location, right on Magazine street in the heart of the Garden District. Walkable, with restaurants, coffee shops and sweet shady neighborhood streets showcasing New Orleans' architecture. The space itself was exactly like the photos - very stylish, comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Jo Ann was very accomodating, responsive and an excellent host. It was a fun stay for our first trip to NOLA and we're glad to have had the chance to experience it.

This was a perfect Airbnb! It’s clean and just as described. The instructions were clear. We drove to NOLA and it was great that the Airbnb had its own private parking lot right next to the building and that we had our own designated parking spots. The building was secure and safe. The neighborhood was safe. The Airbnb is walking distance to the French Quarter but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of streetcars and bus stops nearby if you don’t feel like walking. I would definitely stay here again!

The place was perfect for a trip to New Orleans with our toddler. The location is convenient for exploring the Garden District, and a short trip to the French Quarter by bus or street car. The host was quick to communicate instructions and answer any questions we had, and the place matched the pictures and description in the listing. We would stay again on our next trip to the city!
