It is located 200 m from the edge of the forest and is the ideal starting point for hiking or cycling trips to the "Kroppacher Switzerland" and with connection (1 km) to the Westerwaldsteig. A playground is only 100 meters away and there is plenty to discover, e.g. Hachenburg with the historic market square, the Marienstatt Abbey Church with monastery garden & brewery, the Westerwald Lake District, Bad Marienberg with climbing and animal park.

Simple but functionally furnished, clean room with daylight in the basement of our single-family home in Altenkirchen/Ww. Private bathroom 2 steps across the hall opposite the room. The hallway leads to our basement rooms, which means we sometimes have to go through the hallway. Mini kitchen. Wi-Fi. TV. Near DRK Altenheim. A travel bed can be added to the bed (1.40 x 2.00, for two people to sleep) if necessary. For guests with a baby, a reservation is possible after consultation.

In a picturesque location, outside the Westerwald town of Hachenburg with its picturesque market square and the open-air museum. Close to Marienstatt Monastery. Located directly on the Westerwaldsteig. Quiet and steeped in history. The first Chancellor of the FRG, Konrad Adenauer, stayed here. A commemorative plaque on the house commemorates his stay.
