Holiday rentals in Little Petherick

This is our second trip to the Roundhouse which of itself, says a lot. We love the tranquility of the cottage & the ready proximity to Padstow with all that it has to offer. As dog owners, knowing they’re as warmly welcomed as we are is really important for us to truly relax. I often reflect that it’s the manner in which you overcome challenges that is the true measure of a person. During our stay we had a small emergency. I contacted Scott and within minutes help arrived. We were so well supported during a challenging a few hours and truly well looked after. Thank you Scott for your quick reactions and, thank you Mark for your kindness and support. So, a lovely cottage in a beautiful location and supported by a fabulous host. What more could you ask for?

The cottage was lovely, very cosy and well equipped. We were a family of 4 with 2 grown up adult sons. Plenty of space. Location wise it is easy access to Padstow and a short drive to nearby beaches. Despite being on a very busy road, once the windows are shut it’s pretty quiet. Although this would spoil sitting outside in the front garden. The footpath to Padstow is just down the road. It’s a lovely, but somewhat challenging walk, definitely not for people with pushchairs or very young children. The negatives: the property is on a very busy, narrow road with no footpath either side. There is nowhere to park outside to unload the car. We parked in the road just opposite and down a bit. But this only has 2 spaces and isn’t guaranteed. Otherwise there is a parking pass provided for the local church, about 600m away. The internet connection here is very poor, barely 1MB/s. This was an issue with even general internet apps and browsing. The owners should invest in Starlink really.

Pristine home, beautiful settings and cozy furnishings. Ann went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Very quick to respond, flexible for us travelling with a young baby. It made us have the most beautiful trip for a first time in Cornwall. It was heaven sitting on the patio in the evening to admire the views and sun going down. Restaurant on site is fabulous. Staff so helpful at reception. Peaceful location- only 5 mins on the bus to Padstow! Hoping to come back very soon!

This place was incredible and the photos do not do the views justice. It is in the perfect location for exploring the north coast of Cornwall, close to the camel estuary and the coastal paths and no more than an hour to St Ives and the south coast as well. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you should need for time away. Great to have the barbecue to cook on as well. Everything was spotless, the showers were strong and hot, and the bonus for us was the outside shower so that we could wash dogs easily after their escapades on the beaches. The supermarket is a short drive away in Wadebridge. Wr recommned walking on Watergate bay at low tide, coastal paths from Rock to Polzeath, around Trevose head to Booby bay, Fistral beach to Crantock and beyond, swimming in Porth, Crantock and Harlyn beach. If you want to visit Padstow and St Ives go early for parking and to avoid the crowds. Thank you Cate and Ben. We will be back.

We have just returned from an 8 night stay at Glebe Cottage, it’s so well situated just a short drive away from Padstow and many other beaches that we visited. The cottage itself is beautiful, feels incredibly private with the lovely views of the fields from the garden area. The cottage had everything we needed & David the host was very quick to respond when I had a few question for recommendations etc. Thanks for a great stay!

Highly recommend this cottage! We’ve already saved it for a return visit and have passed the details onto a number of family members & friends. Great location - so close to Padstow and a host of stunning beaches. Beautifully furnished. Wonderful outdoor space. Friendly & helpful hosts!

I had such a lovely stay here! The first thing I noticed was how spotlessly clean the space was from top to bottom. It was exactly like the photos (if not better!), and I instantly felt at peace as soon as I arrived. The location is really lovely too quiet yet well-connected, and as a female traveller, I felt completely safe the entire time, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for a beautiful, relaxing stay! I’d absolutely love to return! 🌿✨

We booked to stay in The Star Shack in Little Petherick because it looked so different than the usual places we'd look for. The Star Shack looks great in the photos but is even better in person, it is cozy, peaceful and holds so much character. The hosts have thought of every detail to ensure that guests have everything available to use during the stay, the log burner was particularly fab! The hosts are warm, welcoming, helpful and kind. They even gifted us a bottle of bubbly to enjoy when they heard we were on our mini-honeymoon - genuine super-hosts! We hope to visit again another time!
