A little cocoon lost in nature! A real break away from it all! A special mention for Verveine💜, the 7-month-old dog of Gaelle and her husband, who is a dog lover! I highly recommend this accommodation for a break for two! Gaelle and her husband are adorable and we thank them for their welcome and availability!

Small paradise in the middle of soothing and beautiful nature. Exceptional hosts! The accommodation is impeccable and well appointed. Far enough from the village to be able to enjoy it and stay in a relaxing calm embellished with birdsong and crickets. We had a great time. We recommend it (but not too much, otherwise we won't be able to find a place to come back to😉). Thank you for hosting us 🙏

The word that comes to mind is simply PERFECT We have been traveling a lot on Airbnb for 20 years, Florence and Fred's accommodation is the one that allowed us to really recharge in a few days. A real peaceful outdoor area arranged for relaxation, an impeccable house where nothing is missing, lovely hosts and good advice for visiting the surroundings. The location of the accommodation is perfect for visiting the main sites. The only regret we have is that we have to leave A big thank you to Florence and Fred We'll be back as soon as we can

We had an excellent stay at JP’s house for five nights. Very comfortable and clean, and as described, with all the amenities we could need. Most of all, the surroundings and incredible peace were very special. I would highly recommend the accommodation and the area to walk and explore. JP was a great host and we hope to return.

We had a fantastic stay at Patrick & Jacqueline’s. They’ve done a great job on the property and it’s a perfect location for exploring the dordogne. Thank you for a lovely stay.

It is a very beautiful place, peaceful, very flowery and well maintained. Surrounded by a very green and beautiful countryside. You feel very good right away. With very welcoming owners. The cottage is beautiful . Several activities are available. You can go for walks without taking your car. And finally, the surroundings offer very good restaurants.

This was a return to the Dordogne after a 25 year absence and it did not disappoint. It was a treat to stay in Ben’s wonderful property so close to the chateau at Beynac. The interior has been thoughtfully restored, remaining entirely in character with such a historic building but providing modern convenience. Its elevated position on the hillside is perfect for taking in the views and we especially enjoyed the terrace tucked at the back of La Maisonette which looks straight down and along the river. Thank you Ben - we had a great time.

This was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in!! The apartment is beautiful with great decor. It has been recently remodeled, and Emilie has taken great care to preserve the character of the original building, including the exposed timber beams. It’s very spacious and comfortable for a couple. The location is great, just outside the old part of Sarlat, and you can walk to the restaurants in town in 5-10 minutes. Émilie is a great host and very attentive to detail. Can’t wait to stay again!!

Caroline and Gilles' place is really nice; sleeping in a former station hall is not common and our children loved it. The little extra is that this accommodation is a mini museum since Caroline and Gilles bargain-hunted in flea markets and the internet to find plenty of old railway equipment and this does not prevent them from hosting a family with three boys!!! Well done!!! The condition of the accommodation is impeccable, everything is tidy and everything has a place. Finally, the location is very interesting, we spent three days in Périgord Noir with its castles, rivers, garden, bastides, forests, cities... We would therefore fully recommend this listing!

Estelle and Benoit are very welcoming and kind hosts, always available if needed. The location is perfect, beautiful view, very peaceful and many shops and restaurants 5 minutes' drive away. The apartment is carefully decorated, well-equipped and very warm! Thanks again for this weekend! :)

Perfect central ground floor apartment. Comfy and clean. Thank you to Laure for helping us with the tv as we didn’t know how to work it. Bergerac is a lovely place to visit. Would love to come back again. Next time I need to brush up on my French as most of the locals don’t speak English. Or let’s say, they would rather you speak French. And why not.

The perfect place for a couple to stay in the centre of old town Sarlat. Christophe was incredibly communicative and accommodating!

The location was excellent - very quiet and secure, bolangerie and casino supermarket across the road, parking downstairs, and literally 100m from the centre. The bed was comfortable, shower hot, spacious and excellent living area/kitchen. The only downside was two flights of stairs - not easy for some, but fine for us. Would definitely stay again.

We spent 10 days in Corinne's small accommodation, who gave us good advice on activities to do nearby, and good places to eat! The stay went really well, the accommodation is located a little away from the village (but still accessible on foot), quiet. However, if you don't like the countryside and its charms: Corinne has adorable chickens, roosters and other animals. We weren't woken up once by the rooster the whole stay, he's a late riser! The location is ideal if you want to radiate throughout the Dordogne!

Best ever a truly 5 starts, great location, beutiful place confi bed, free parking is 10 minutes walking, great towels, cotton linen sheets, it my be a little more expensive but is worth every penny….i can’t fault this place in any thing…..

Enchanting stay in a real cozy little nest. The environment is beautiful and quiet. Everything is well thought out for the comfort of the hosts. The welcome is very warm. I highly recommend this accommodation for a very pleasant stay in a beautiful area. Not to mention the gourmet touch of the place to stay and the attentions of Karine.

Beautiful quiet apartment, very well equipped and nicely decorated, very clean, a parking space. We spent two restful nights there on a stopover (both on the way there and on the way back). Very nice view from the living room of a beautiful valley. Very friendly welcome from our guests. Practical side: takeaway pizzas in the village 5 minutes away. I recommend it.

Stephanie was a fantastic host who was a pleasure to meet and taking the time to tell us about all the local places to visit and her apartment was ideally located for walking into Sarlat town centre in just a couple of minutes and it was a very enjoyable 3 day stay, thanks David and Teresa

Location is a gated community that has a mix of residents and rentals. Beautiful countryside view. close to town. 4 minute drive to Carrefour grocery store. Steep hill down to town would be challenging for some walkers. There were a number of stone outside steps up to the apartment level. Very clean inside the apartment with comfy beds. Water power in upstairs toilette was weak. Overall a great choice in Sarlat.

Sandrine and Pascal were very responsive to questions before booking. Pascal welcomed us with friendliness to this accommodation which perfectly matches the description given in the listing. 5 minutes from the historic center of Sarlat, this tastefully decorated apartment has all the comforts you need for a "cozy" stay at Sandrine and Pascal's. We would come back for a future stay in this beautiful Périgord Noir.

Sarlat was special to us! With Christmas approaching, it was complete. The city is small but charming! The Christmas market, very cheerful and welcoming, made a place in our hearts! It was a great place to choose and visit numerous sites in the region. The apartment is exactly as described. The cost-benefit was valuable to us. If I had known Sarlat before, as well as the apartment, I would spend Christmas there! It would have been magical! Thanks host! I'll be back if the world doesn't end first!

Muriel's place was lovely & clean. We enjoyed the little balcony off our living room. Unfortunately, the underground parking space was very small. My husband did 2700 euros worth of damage to his rental. We were able to find a parking space just across the road but it was not always available.
