Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Leichhardt

We have stayed here a number of times now, it is the perfect location to explore Balmain / Rozelle Inner West), and the CBD is only a 5-minute bus ride away. It is so homely and comfortable. We have already booked our next stay.

Beautiful studio with attention to detail (great supplies in kitchen, good quality linens in bedroom and bathroom, good air con, easy to open/close shutters for privacy). Easy access to surrounding suburbs/restaurants/pubs/parks. Would stay here again when visiting Sydney.

Stayed over Christmas and New Year and had a great time. A couple of issues were immediately rectified by Kate and we couldn’t have asked for any more. The only minor issue was that the place was dusty when we first arrived but this did not affect our enjoyment of the stay

We had the most wonderful stay at this Balmain townhouse. The views of the Harbour Bridge and city skyline were beautiful, especially at night with the lights and occasional fireworks. The home was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Both bedrooms are spacious with great views, blockout blinds, comfortable beds and tons of wardrobe space. The kitchen was very well equipped and having a separate office space was a big plus as we needed to work remotely for a few days. The private courtyard was a highlight, perfect for our morning coffee and evening wine. The building’s indoor pool, spa, and gym were an added bonus. Check-in was seamless, the hosts were responsive and thoughtful, and the location couldn’t be better - close to cafes, shops, and the bus into the city. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend.

I really enjoyed my stay at this wonderful Airbnb, a great location to see everything Sydney has to offer. Very tastefully designed and holds the charm that is Camperdown/ Newtown houses. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this Airbnb to anyone.

Delightful stay in Newtown :-) Only a block back from King St but no traffic noise or noisy pubs. Hard to believe I was staying the hub of Newtown. Easily caught buses, trains, and an uber from my accommodation to the city CBD and airport. All services were regular - did not have to wait longer than 5 mins for any transport. Easily walked to RPAH, directions to access the accommodation were very easy to understand. Felt like a home away from home, very cosy bedroom with all amenities, extremely clean, tidy, warm (stayed late May), good shower pressure, all needs catered for with fridge, toaster, kettle, table and chairs, a light and bright space. I really enjoyed my stay which was a chaotic visit for combined work and pleasure but felt relaxed as soon as I walked in the door. Also felt safe walking from the train station to the accommodation after 8pm. Lots of people around and well lit streets.

Fantastic location close to restaurants and shops. Easy walking to the train stations and even managed to get street parking out the front for our hire car. Fabulous for a fun weekend in Sydney.

Peter, Cheryl’s husband, personally welcomed us at check-in and gave a quick, informative tour; such a gentleman! The apartment and the neighborhood exceeded our expectations. Everything inside - from the furniture and appliances to the bedding, pillows, and towels - was of good quality. We truly felt at home. The building and location are ideal for families. One pleasant surprise was the indoor pool and gym, which weren’t shown in the listing photos. Our kids loved swimming on a chilly, foggy day - the water was clean and warm! Despite being so close to the CBD, the neighborhood was incredibly peaceful with very little noise. A perfect stay all around!

Great place to stay while in Sydney for work (or leisure). Location in Newtown is fantastic with easy access to top quality bars and restaurants and easy access to the city. Apartment is well fitted out and spacious and big balcony is plus.

Peter & Stephanie’s apartment is great. Perfect for a single or a couple and in a lively location. Comfy bed and very quiet. Would definitely return here.

The host is very friendly and helpful. Everything was great and also ready for stay in winter season. All day parking was 4 minutes walk away but, it was fine.

Beautiful place with plants, very colourful apartment with great sunny balcony. Close to city and parking not so bad being close to city. Will be back next time when visiting Sydney.

Unfortunately only got to stay one night, but Mariannes place was a great base. Bed was super comfy and the windows to the street are just gorgeous. Thanks again!

Stayed in this beautiful little studio. awesome location with the ability to really enjoy Newtown and its surrounding areas. The room itself is well equipped and cozy. Enjoyed using the rooftop area as well, awesome place for a nice red and cheese platter. Isabelle was an extremely generous host and extremely pleasant. Would def love to stay here again.

The unit was neat and clean. Penny generously provided a baby bath and high chair and set up the portacot for us. We had two small children so it was a bit small for us but would suit kids that would enjoy the bunk beds. It’s good for people who could walk the hill to the beach. The park across the road was helpful

I've rented Brendan's apartment a few times the past few years. It's in a great location, a Central station entrance is right next door, and plenty of local eateries nearby. The apartment was spotlessly clean as always and has everything you need for a long stay (washer, dryer, ironing board, reliable Internet, tv connections). Highly recommended!

What a pleasure it was to stay in this spacious, comfortable and well equipped home. Emily provides everything you need right down to umbrellas. The beautiful views over Whale Beach added a fabulous touch to this perfect airbnb. Emily and David were quick to respond, always helpful, and throughout my 10 day stay ensured that I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the Northern Beaches.

Awesome location as this apartment is located within walking distance from Circular Quay/Sydney Opera House since it’s right at Sydney CBD. This also means you can easily find good restaurants/bars and Coles & Woolsworth supermarkets are also nearby. The apartment has all the necessary appliances we need - dishwasher, washer, dryer etc and the travel cot provided was a good size for my toddler and came with a good mattress within (which is hard to come by). Sharon was also very responsive throughout my 9 day stay and so helpful in assisting me with all kinds of requests. Her proactiveness and warm hospitality is truly appreciated.

We just finished our 7 days stay at JP’s wonderful place. This was one of the best Air bnb experiences that we have had. Though the place is a little small for 2 adults and a kid (we knew this before we booked since the description and other reviews were very clear), it was more than compensated by the location, the amenities in the unit and the overall look and feel of the unit. I shouldn’t use the word unit; it felt like “home”. JP, though I haven’t met him, is a man of details and has kept his home meticulously clean and extremely clear with instructions. We didn’t struggle one bit for anything and enjoyed our stay in his lovely place. Definitely recommended for couples and We will be back to stay here when we visit Sydney the next time!

Damian was a great host. He even personally came around with a spare key. The property is as described. It was very quiet. Close to good restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. 2minutes walk to the Light Rail which goes down to Circular Quay. We will definitely stay again. Dianne and Kevin
