Villa holiday rentals in Le Château-d'Oléron

We spent a wonderful Pentecost weekend at Villa Isis Atlantique in Portes-en-Ré. The setting is simply idyllic: the house is spacious, tastefully decorated, and perfectly equipped for a stay with family or friends. The garden, the bowling alley, the half basketball court, the pool table and the swimming pool add a touch of serenity and luxury that invites you to relax. We particularly appreciated the proximity of the beach and the center of the village, while enjoying absolute calm. A big thank you to our hosts for their warm welcome and availability. We leave with memories in our heads... We will come back with great pleasure!

Our group is unanimous, no complaints about this accommodation. Everything is in accordance with the listing, just there is no key box but even better, a person to welcome us and give us the necessary explanations. I highly recommend it.

Nelly is a very welcoming and responsive host! The accommodation is faithful to the description: well located and quiet with perfect amenities to spend good times with family or friends. I recommend it!

Wild Dunes was even better than we expected. Clean, bright, airy with good size rooms and air conditioning in the main rooms. A beautiful garden, with a great pool, loungers and furniture plus outdoor games (petanque court, chess, darts, table tennis). 10-15 mins by bike to the local boulangerie and port. 1 hours walk to the lighthouse which was great with the dog. Clara and Pascal were lovely hosts. Always willing to help and make suggestions, without being obtrusive. While it was not an issue for us and only my opinion, the garden is great for adults and older children but not what I would call 'foolproof' for young children or 'excitable' dogs. Various steps, flagstone paths with pebbles and only a small grassy area offer some risk of accident. Having said that the pool was great, with good safety features and our dog had a great time communicating with the other dogs and there was plenty of room at the front and sides to sniff around. So maybe I'm over thinking it.

A very beautiful place in front of the sea. A very beautiful family home, tastefully decorated, welcoming and in a peaceful place. We walked a lot, in the center of Fouras, accessible on foot. You can go to the island of Aix by taking the boat on foot. The weather was nice. Good memories.

The house was big an spacious and was perfect for my & my extended family of 12 adults + 3 children. Kitchen was very well equipped for us to prepare some home cooked meals, especially on Sunday when most restaurants are closed. Appreciate the lovely terrace view which makes this house standout from the rest. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting the region.

My family had a great stay with the sun as a bonus this year. The accommodation is perfect: clean, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. Very nice terrace. We had a wonderful family stay. The house is large, tastefully decorated, well-equipped with a large outdoor terrace and a very nice pool. You can do everything on foot, from the beach, to the shops and restaurants. We spent 5 very intense days there. Thank you Danielle. 😘

Great stay at Stéphanie's villa. The hosting was warm and pleasant. The house is superb, very well equipped and the nuxe toiletries on each bed upon arrival offers a real plus. The pool was heated and easy to use. The beach is 500m away and it's easy to walk there. We 100% recommend this house for a weekend away with family or friends! We'll be back with pleasure, thanks again ☺️

Very nice house, very clean with quality amenities. Quiet place. We encountered a small problem with the pool and Thibaut was very responsive in trying to resolve the problem remotely , even if the problem was not completely resolved, but we were able to enjoy it and have a good holiday.

We all enjoyed your beautiful house. We appreciated the artistic style of the place and the relaxed feel of somewhere that is loved very much. We appreciated the design of the place and the inside and outside spaces, the generous amount of wonderful kitchen equipment, the games cupboard, the dartboard, and most of all the wonderful swimming pool was really enjoyed by everyone. We enjoyed the location very much. Being able to easily walk to the daily market, to the beach or to cafe's and restaurants lent joy and ease to our stay. My family and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Pascale and Laurent's beautiful, very well-equipped and characterful home! A perfect place for a family gathering, with spacious and comfortable living spaces inside and out to chat and relax and the sparkling pool and table tennis table for a little light exercise! The fascinating historical port city of La Rochelle is less than half an hour away by bus and the Atlantic with access to coast paths is nearby. We enjoyed a visit to the Sunday market in the square in Nieul sur Mer followed by un petit cafe en terrasse at the inviting and friendly Bistrot de la Place. We much appreciated the possibility of an early check in and Stephanie, Pascale and Laurent's local agent, was most helpful as well as friendly and welcoming, responding immediately to any queries we had. Merci beaucoup!!

Second time staying in Oleron and we’d definitely recommend the island and Chateau d’Oleron in particular. There’s a beautiful ambience to the village, a decent choice of restaurants for all budgets and a host of cycling tracks, beaches and more. Jean-Pierre’s place was ideal, just out of town but within a short walk of everything and a large supermarket. The place is as it looks, very well set out with all that you need and a few classy touches to boot. We’d recommend without hesitation.

Kasia and Anthony's house was perfect for our weekend with friends. The land is huge, well maintained. The pool and terrace are very nice. And the rooms are very comfortable with excellent bedding. The house in its likeness is really tastefully decorated and we would have stayed a little longer! All communication with Kasia and Anthony, and with Sandrine on site, went very well, everything was simple and smooth. Thank you very much

Incredible house for a family reunion, there is all the desired equipment. It was happiness! Fully equipped for children. Bedding kit quite expensive to rent because not provided (€28 per person), but we brought our own linen so no problem for us :) It was a great stay thanks to this dream house!

Lovely and comfortable house. Quietly located on the outskirts of the village. Supermarket within a few minutes driving distance. Everything available in the house and the kitchen. Nice swimming pool with plenty of space to find a sunny or shade spot. Repeatable! In addition, it is good to communicate with Corinne and respond quickly. So top house!

Beautiful house, typically Retaise as described in the listing. Spacious for 8 people. The garden is just beautiful, with heated pool. Everything is planned for a great stay. In addition, is very well located, between Le Bois, La Couarde and Saint Martin. Catherine is very responsive when you ask her for anything. We'll be happy to go back.

Great weekend with friends at Sabrina's. Beautiful house, welcoming and accommodating host. Close to the center of La Rochelle by car or bike. No complaints, we'll be back!
